  • "Been holidaying in the uk two to three times a year for the last twenty years or so and first time we have stayed in a lodge, a friendly helpful owner and his daughter Emma I cannot praise them enough a wonderful cottage with a stunning view and very clean , well equipped, it would be in the top 3 of all the properties we have stayed and we will return which we have only done once before."

  • "An absolutely fabulous property with the most spectacular views and amazing hot tub."

The property is spotlessly clean with every amenity you could wish for in a holiday cottage. The property photos don’t do it justice. If you are after peace and tranquility this is the place whilst also being very close to a lovely little town. The bird feeders were kept topped up by the owners which is a lovely touch and we were able to watch a family of greater spotted woodpeckers feeding from them daily. Fabulous! Can’t wait to return!

We had a brilliant time and can't wait to return. Fantastic accommodation with everything you could need and more, such a lovely place. Great hosts with so much local knowledge. Amazing views to enjoy while relaxing in the hot tub. Lots to do nearby, some great walks with amazing views. Nice shops/bakerys/butchers just down the road. We will be back for sure.

  • "This was by far one of the best holidays I/We have ever been on."

The cabin itself could not have been any better. It had everything we needed, never really felt a moment of "oh we need this". The cabin is beautiful, and the views..its something you only see in movies or magazines. If you get chance to stay at this property you've truly hit the jackpot. I proposed to my girl friend and she said YES! So this place will now forever hold a special place in our hearts, and I hope we can stay again in the future. Everything on the description is correct, could not be anymore black and white.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback Daniel. We're thrilled with your comments and so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, here at The Larches. Congratulations once again on your engagement - best wishes to you both for the future. We very much hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. • "Tom and Emma had everything ready for our stay upon arrival (we were a bit early but Emma said no problem), the hot tub was clean and awaiting our tired muscles."

The property exceeded expectations by a mile with the added extras like a gas BBQ and a treat box upon arrival, excellent. Tom was a pleasure to chat with and gave us some much needed inside knowledge regarding where to go and events that were taking place around the area. Thanks so much and we will be back asap, Jim, Maria, David and Lorna.

Hot tub was very well maintained and the lodge was a home away from home. Thank you!

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at The Larches, the views are as stunningly beautiful as previous reviews suggest."

The hot tub is a real bonus, living area is spacious and the barbecue was put to good use as well. What stopped me from giving 5 stars was the the bed in the master bedroom is two single mattresses pushed together, this meant the sheet would often come off as it was not fitted, there was also nowhere to hang clothes that have been washed or were wet from the hot tub or from walking if we were caught in the rain. Neither of these would stop me from staying here again however and overall our stay in mid Wales was enjoyable with the accommodation contributing to that.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond Grant, so very much appreciated. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay! The king bed is indeed a zip and link bed (as advertised)which allows the bed to be split in to singles, and we have special fitted sheets for such bed which I’m so sorry to hear came off during your stay. We would’ve changed this straight away for you. We also have clothes rails in the cloakroom for guests to use to hang washing to dry - so I’m so sorry you didn’t locate this during your stay. We were so sorry we couldn’t accommodate your request to stay longer, so we do hope you get the opportunity to visit us again in the future. Thank you once again for choosing to with us, we’re so lucky to have such lovely guests like yourselves. Best wishes, Property Owner
