Fioled

We were very disappointed with our stay at Fioled.

The cleanliness was not great on arrival, with soil and dust evident throughout the property. The first thing we did on arrival was clean. To be fair to the owners/managers, we did not raise the cleanliness concerns during our stay. However, we did report a very unpleasant smell which was noticeable throughout the property. Initially, we thought the smell may have been related to plumbing or damp. Following discussions with the owners/managers, we were advised that a wasp nest had been treated prior to our arrival. We were also informed that an unusual odour had been noticed during cleaning before our stay. Unfortunately, the smell had a significant impact on our enjoyment of the property. We stayed for one night before deciding to leave, as no alternative accommodation was available on site. We appreciated that a pro-rata refund was provided promptly.

The weather was 30 degrees and no opening windows in the living room/kitchen.

Leaving patio doors open not an option as hundreds of flies. A fan should have been offered at least. Bottle shelf on fridge door broken off so difficult to store open bottles. Brought replacement but it soon came off. No follow up. Definitely no walking on the doorstep, need to drive out each day which we did. No shade outside for this chalet, no umbrellas only in pub garden - no privacy. I think this is the worst positioned of the group of chalets as there’s no respite from the heat.

It was a lovely place very good for travelling Around to different places Rachel and Robert where very nice the food in The hotel was superb Maureen
