  • "This was our first time staying at The Owlet and we weren't disappointed; from the beautiful well maintained lodge to the wonderful views this was the most relaxing and peaceful place to stay."

    Such a great location for woodland walks or a trip to the coast whilst taking in the beautiful Welsh countryside; and the hot tub was a huge hit with everyone too! Sandra and Henry were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The added touches of board games, books and toiletries made our stay feel extra special. If you're looking for a central location with beautiful, stunning views and a place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature you will not be disappointed.   • "Wonderfully hosted by Sandra and Henry, The Owlet was perfect for our family."

    We couldn't find fault in the accommodation. It has everything, including an excellent hot tub! The location is a superb base from which to explore mid Wales. There is loads to do and see without spending money. We would definitely stay again. Top marks and many thanks to our hosts!

  • "The Owlet is a beautiful lodge in a quiet location with a stunning view."

    We loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day's walking in the Welsh Hills watching the lambs playing in the fields at the back. The owners were very welcoming. A good location to explore central Wales. We will be back.

    The views are spectacular and the pictures shown are beautiful but it really does take your breath away in person. Our hosts were so lovely and so accommodating. They have everything you need and more so. Beds were so comfortable along with all the other seating areas. Home away from home. So many other features also that make this place truly special!

  • "We had the most wonderful stay at the owlet over new year."

    Hosts Sandra and Henry were welcoming and so helpful. The lodge itself was spotless, decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. There were extra touches like milk and hot chocolate left for us when we arrived. The lodge was peaceful and in a lovely area. The hot tub was great to be able to relax in too! We highly recommend this lodge and look forward to returning in the future.

Locally, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, with walking, cycling, riding, fishing, tennis, golf, swimming and shooting all available within 10 miles. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are a host of attractions: Powis Castle (National Trust), with its world famous gardens, is just 20 miles away; the Welsh Coast, with its fine beaches, is less than an hour’s drive; Rhayader and the Elan Valley are 40 minutes away; the Shropshire towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach, as are the popular North Wales destinations of Llangollen and Snowdonia.
