"Beautiful cottages in a secluded area - yet perfectly positioned for Bala and the lakes."
This felt like a little sanctuary away from everything.
The cottage had everything we needed, we found everything for cooking, plenty of towels, cleaning supplies and the perfect set up for a BBQ. The porthole window also comes with its own cover making the bedrooms cosy and dark in the brightest of mornings. We had no issues with wifi, streamed programmes in the evening and had phone signal was good throughout the visit.
Theres a selection of views and a lovely seated area for dinner outside. Visits from the donkeys, sightings of various birds, fleeting bats and the appearance of the alpacas in an adjacent field were a delight.
Our children felt welcomed and comfortable, making ample use of the trampoline, outdoor equipment and swing. The owners were on site and attentive - nothing but positive comments about our stay.

"We had such a lovely weekend at Aran cottage ."
It is a beautiful setting in wonderful rolling countryside with views down to lake Bala in the distance, lots of bird life, friendly donkeys( bring carrots) so very peaceful. The cottage was comfortable, warm and well equipped. The garden was enclosed and dog friendly. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning and evening sun . James was very welcoming and helpful.The welcome gifts were much appreciated. We would love to visit again .

"We rented ARAN, ARENIG and TEGID cottages as a family group for 3 nights."
The cottages were spacious and very comfortable. We were welcomed by James when we arrived and, after a little explore around the cottages, were gifted with Welsh Cakes and Bara Brith Fruit Cake that was much needed with a cup of tea after a long drive. The tea and milk was also provided by our kind hosts.
The grounds are peaceful and quiet, just what we were after.
5* rating as we absolutely couldn't fault it!

"We had an absolutely amazing time at the cottage."
The directions for how to get there were perfect and easy to follow. The cottage had everything we could possibly need cookware, silverware, plates. They also provided wood and kindling for the fireplace which was easy to start. The instructions provided for the house were clear with the booklet left for us. If we had any questions the owner quickly responded back to us. We loved everything about the cottage!

The peace and quiet is perfect for relaxing and switching off, whilst the views and local wildlife make it even more special. Particularly the donkeys who love to hang over the fence!

"Cottage was lovely, secluded even though it's amongst others as its positioned at the top away from the others."
The donkeys over the front fence and cows and sheep over the back are lovely think the donkeys where my children's favourite part about the whole week. The cottage has everything you could need and the beds very comfy. The garden is fully enclosed which as great for the dog although could do with some tending a little overgrown in places meaning we had to pick sticky balls out of her fur everytime she came back in and also although we pack everything for our dog much like we do the kids there was nothing else to indicate "dog friendly" no bowls, spare towels, throws, garden was all stones not ideal for poop picking etc . Could do with some instructions on the heating aswell as nothing in the folders and as it rained all week it got a little chilly. This could be something very special with a little bit of TLC I know they've just been taken over so hopefully when the new owners find there feet they will Inject that spark.
