Hendoll Courtyard Cottages

Fairbourne 0.5 miles. These stylishly and wonderfully renovated courtyard cottages are situated in the small village of Friog, just a ten minute walk from the coastal village of Fairbourne. These cottages are perfect for a traditional family holiday or for just a couple or friends who are looking to spend some quality time together exploring the area and one of the loveliest coastline in North Wales. These beautiful cottages have been sympathetically refurbished and individually designed by the careful conversion of 19th century barns. They can be booked individually or larger groups could book the three cottages together for those special occasions when the whole family can get together and celebrate a special birthday or anniversary. Situated just a twenty minute walk to the two mile stretch of a Blue Flag beach and surrounded by open farmland with a backdrop of woodland these delightful cottages provide the ideal base. The cottages are furnished with modern living in mind with WiFi and electric heating throughout, as well as fantastic character features, such as exposed stone, high pitched beamed ceilings and woodburning stoves, whilst great care has been taken to ensure there is everything you could need to ensure you have a comfortable stay and a wonderful holiday. There is private off road parking and each cottage has a paved courtyard area for you to enjoy, finish that book you’ve always been promising to, or simply take in the scenery. There are numerous short walks from the cottages and the beach is about a twenty minute walk away. Visit the Blue Lake, a very deep, clear blue pool in a mysterious cavern, which occupies high ground in the old Golwern Slate Quarry above Fairbourne. You are ideally placed to explore the mountains of Snowdonia, being in the shadow of the striking Cader Idris, and the area offers numerous outdoor activities such as pony trekking on the local beaches. The popular market town of Dolgellau is less than ten miles away and Barmouth, with lovely shopping and a regal harbour is just a three mile walk across the estuary bridge or a fourteen mile drive. This is a wonderful location for the perfect family holiday, all year round.
