Yr Adfa

A beautiful place in an idyllic area with outstanding views.

All in all generally good but a few tweaks would make it even better. More care and attention needed on the beams and rafters, very dusty and cobwebs in some places. On your itinerary it states there is wood fired barbecue but on arriving that was not the case, the owner did supply a small one which wasn’t really sufficient for our needs, plus there were not barbecue utensils to use either. It felt very regimented with all the do and don’t signs around the building, made us scared of making a mistake. We were a party of seven adults and we were all put off by this. I think a notice on their page could make this better as that put us off straight away. Very good for watching the wildlife, especially the Buzzards and Red Kites.

A property where you can relax and unwind.

Stunning view and we were lucky to sit and watch the beautiful sunsets. Very well equipped house and kitchen. Comfortable beds and plentiful bathrooms. Lovely to arrive and find a homemade barra brith, which was excellent. Thank you

Lovely large house surrounded by beautiful views.

The house was well equipped, we were 6 adults and were able to cook breakfasts and dinners easily. It was very clean and comfortable. The owners popped in to see if everything was ok on our first morning which was nice and lovely to meet them.

Had a lovely 2 weeks at Yr Adfa.

The property is lovely , spacious and well equipped. My only criticism of the property is one that former occupants have mentioned and that is the lack of noise insulation between master bedroom and double room . This is largely due to a massive shrinkage gap along the beam in the corner of the room that needs to be resealed. We were a little disappointed with the lack of footpaths in the area. The property was described as “near walking” and looking at the pictures we presumed we’d be able to walk out from the property especially with the dog. However , unfortunately there was nowhere to walk without taking the car. Same applies to cycling . The hot tub was a nice idea but unfortunately in spite of showering every time before using it, the following day the water was stagnant and smelly . This meant draining , cleaning, refilling and reheating the hot tub every time we wanted to use it . This obviously led to us not using it as much as we would have liked. My suggestion to help this would be to provide a Chlorine bobble or floating chlorine dispenser that would probably mean one fill of water would last throughout each tenants stay. This would save a lot of water ! All this said we had a wonderful time and our grandchildren also grew very attached to the cows!

Beautiful house, well equiped and very comfortable in a wonderful peaceful location.

Very friendly owners. The only complaint is the lack of noise insulation between the master bedroom and the double bedroom, both being the same room at one time, presumably. Snoring was a factor, as was a three year old waking up due to the noise. One sheet of plasterboard does not constitute a wall and tired grumpy people spoil the holiday atmos. Other than that, a lovely place to stay.

The house is spacious and beautifully designed with everything we needed, we loved the hot tub! The house is in lovely part of Wales with magnificent views. The location of the property is within 30 minutes of many attractions, including National Trust and the seaside resorts. The owners are lovey and nearby if needed. We'd love to return in the future - thank you!

We have just returned home from a wonderful weeks stay at this lovely house.

What a gem of a place you have, the house, the views the garden everything was perfect. Our first time away as a family of 5 (2 adults two young children and a dog) so much space in and out we had many hours playing games in the garden and watching the calf’s running around in the field next to it. Hot tub was lovely just have to plan ahead when you want to use it. All bedrooms are a fantastic size and beds are super comfortable love the balcony to walk on to first thing in the morning the sunrises and sunsets have been beautiful to watch. Would say bedrooms could do with needing blinds specially if you have young ones that go to bed early. Owners are very friendly and any problems they are only a call away. Left a beautiful bara brith for our arrival which was very tasty. We had amazing weather all week apart from a thunder storm one evening it was great to watch. Great location and had some great days out. We all are very sad to leave and will definitely be coming back again soon hopefully. Thank you John and Victoria

Beautiful house with stunning countryside views.

The house is extremely accommodating for all the family and plenty of space to socialise and enjoy. However, if I’d have to pick a fault the only one I would have is the extreme specification for the bins. So much so we took our food waste bin home with us as we felt pressure to ensure that it was done correctly. We also felt constant presence as the owners were around the property therefore no privacy, so using the hot tub was difficult as we weren’t sure when the owners would be around. As previously mentioned, beautiful house and would recommend but little changes could be made to make it more enjoyable for the holidaymakers.

Really spacious propertie, great for big groups with children. House had everything we could want and was spotless and cosy. Would love to return in better weather!

We’ve just got back from a week’s break over Christmas at the lovely Yr Adfa and it was fantastic!

It’s a lovely family space which was made extra special by being beautifully decorated for Christmas and there was also a delicious homemade Christmas cake waiting for us when we arrived. The house is really well equipped and the wood burning hot tub is a great extra touch. We also had 2 large dogs with us who loved it. Thank you for a brilliant stay, would highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay mid September 24, nothing was too much trouble for the owners.

They brought us a bbq to use and made friends with their Beagle. The property is remote but it was what we wanted for family time. It is a lovely clean cottage and we'll definitely go back again.

Amazing house we booked for next Christmas 25 it's in my sons girlfriends name , probably coming back in a couple of months thanks to owners

Fantastic place to stay, everything you need.

Hot tub was great just be prepared for a wait while it heats up. Hot plate bbq spot on. If you’re looking for peace and quiet you can’t beat it. Stargazing at night is a must. Would go back 100%. Owners are great and if Evie the beagle pops in for a visit just give them a call

The house is beautifully situated and amazing interior.

We had everything we needed kitchen wise and the bedrooms are simple but beautiful. Possibly more hanging space would be perfect

The house was stunning and so much space for all of us to be comfortable.

The hot tub was great. So much peace and quiet and a lovely place to vsist to escape from it all.

Hot tub and BBQ an added bonus and still able to sit outside with inclement British weather. Would support an earlier review that wardrobes or hanging space is needed in the other bedrooms. Great location and scenery.
