"We have a lovely stay at the Chalet recently."
We were in town for the local Machynlleth Comedy Festival over the May bank holiday weekend, and this was a wonderful base for that, being around 20 minutes away - and then a short drive to Aberdyfi too, with its lovely beach. The chalet park is very quiet; we didn't hear anyone else throughout our entire stay!
Communication from the host was great, and she was very friendly. The key is stored in a lock box at the property, so you can check in at your own convenience with space to park directly outside the front door.
The chalet had everything you needed - 2 bedrooms with comfy beds, ample storage for clothes, a good shower (with toiletries supplied) and a well-stocked kitchen. We even got some free cakes on arrival, thanks! There were also some board games and DVDs supplied if you get bored.
We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again next time we're in the area.
Thank you so much for your kind review..looking forward to seeing you again

"It was delightful to stay in this cabin for a few days to escape the weather!"
Once the fire was lit, it was so cozy and we enjoyed playing cards, reading and eating wholesome food with a glass of wine or two. Most of what we needed was there, although we struggled to find a good knife (hence 4 not 5!). Amazing views and very comfortable beds.

"The chalet was clean and comfortable however no instructions had been left regarding bin day and also there was no broom or vacuum cleaner so we could clean the floors."
That was disappointing. Otherwise the chalet was warm and inviting (once the heating was turned on). I would recommend once the above was corrected.

"What a lovely little place up on that big hill."
Cute cosy, comfortable with everything we needed. Car definitely required.
Directions given prior to arrival were perfect. People around the site were welcoming. Internet included which the kids loved! Bottles of water supplied.
Bathroom sink taps are the opposite to what you think but once you know its not an issue. No freezer compartment in the fridge for the cool bag ice blocks, wasn't an issue just something to note. All in all we loved it, peaceful with beautiful surroundings.
Thank you so much for your kind review..glad you had a lovely time at chalet forte.. Best wishes Lynda

"Stayed with my elderly mother so there being only one step up to chalet was good and parking right outside."
Inside was beautifully decorated, and as pictures shown except they have changed the sofa. Well equipped. Lynda was really helpful when there was an issue with internet she got on straight to BT. Short walk away from chalet you have a view of the estuary , has a lovely decking area to sit out. Would recommend.
Thank you so much Christine for your kind feedback and for coming to Chalet Forte hope you had a fab time..Lynda

"Chalet Forte is a cosy little lodge however in the hot weather it gets extremely hot inside."
.. maybe good insulation and windows would help, as insulation also helps keep a property cool in the summer months as well as warm in the winter months....I'm not sure if we would stay again, you have to use your car to get into Aberdovy, which was a bit of a pain for us, we like to be closer to all shops, restaurants etc so we can just walk...

"Lovely place, definitley has a womanly touch - understand most people eat out etc but we cooked and found little things like cooking utensils and cutlery to be old and need updating."
Also no regular glasses just wine glasses & mugs this is the only ‘flaw’ if there was one. Great location we have stayed in another chalet before and love it, close to beaches and things to do as long as you have a car.

"Chalet Forte is in an absolutely stunning, peaceful location."
The chalet has everything you may need and Lynda was very helpful upon our arrival to inform us about the natural water supply. The only reason I marked down the comfort was due to the settee not being very comfortable. I feel the chalet would benefit with having a visitors information pack, there are plenty of leaflets with things to do but there was no information in relation to stripping of beds and leaving dirty towels at the end of your stay (Lynda answered this for me). I know storage space is limited but a vacuum/indoor brush would really be useful also (My elderly mother who was with me, likes to tidy around

"This is a lovely getaway to the Welsh Countryside."
Beautiful and scenic location
Comfort, if you don't mind driving up a very bendy incline it's fine(my family love this and find it exciting) 1 of the party members was unhappy with 1 of the beds, otherwise it was great.
We had a great stay. (Don't forget your wash bags, shops are far if you need a shower and prefer a bar of soap)
The cutest little kitchen and cosy fires.
Loved it. Would consider going again.
1 hour scenic drive to Barmouth Beach and 25mins from Cadir Idris for a breathtaking hike.
10mins from steam train
