"The Mytton at Mill Barn is a beautiful cottage, decor and comfort is stunning as are the surrounding views and walks, it's set in a quiet village/hamlet of Clun, the owners run a cafe on the site too as the cottage is on the 'Shropshire way' on arrival we were greeted by the owners who are so welcoming and lovely, they live on site and if needed they are there to help, a lovely welcome of cake and tea awaited us inside the Mytton, and best of all for us they are absolutely dog friendly."
100% recommend this cottage and will return....
Thanks so much for your lovely feedback. We love to hear we are getting things right. Thank you also, for leaving The Mytton so clean when you left. We hope we'll see you and Kevin again, at some point xx

"Excellent accommodation with a well equipped kitchen, a large bathroom with both a walk in shower and a lovely feature bath."
A very comfortable lounge area , a very long hallway and a nice garden to sit out in rhe sunshine. Great place to take the dog. The people that run the cottage, own a tea room next door set around a pretty pond and garden on the Shropshire Way.
Thanks so much for the lovely review. We are really glad you enjoyed your stay.

"Lovely week away in a slice of heaven thank you so much for the cake and marmalade ."
The only very small downside was the intermittent internet which made the tv viewing at times challenging. We would definitely come again and recommend to our friends.
Hi Deborah, it was lovely to meet you and Chris and we're glad that you enjoyed The Mytton. We have had one previous report about the internet and have checked the streaming on the TV a couple of times during recent guest changes and didn't have any problems. We have left Netflix running on the Mytton and our TV whilst getting The Mytton ready, without any noticeable reduction in service. Whilst being relatively close to the town, the semi-rural location means that we are at the end of lines for power and phone, which could have an effect on the available bandwidth (we test at about 36 Mbps). If you do return to us, please do let us know if you are struggling with the service - we'll be able to turn off any streaming we're using to try and improve the signal. It will also help us to identify any particular patterns with service reduction, to be able to pick up with our provider.
It's also worth noting that the Freesat isn't internet-dependent, although appreciate that there may be more choice on Netflix or the catch-up services. Thank you for your feedback and hope to see you again Chris & Tracey

"Fabulous location within easy reach of the village, riverside walk, castle and Shropshire way ."
Within 35 mins of Carding Mill and Stippers stones - avoid weekends there.
Friendly vibe with locals, local Spar very handy but expensive .
Tracey and Chris were wonderful hosts and very relaxed. They tried hard to fix the erratic internet problem ( the only reason the review does not get top marks as was very hard to watch anything in Apps) . I’d suggest maybe taking a DVD player and DVD’s as a back up.
The property is lovely and high end, very spacious and dog friendly . The bathroom is gorgeous, bed comfortable . The living room can be quite cold ( bit it was cold weather) logs and blanket are provided. We didn’t find the sofa comfortable but that’s just us, we had a mattress topper with us which cushioned it for us, there is space for a more comfortable larger sofa.
Overall so perfect for an off peak break , peaceful and beautiful area, thank you , we had a lovely week and would come back

"Simply wonderful."
We stayed back in February and even though we’d seen the pictures it was still such a wonderful surprise when we entered the property. Welcoming, spacious and warm. With so many lovely places to explore we were spoiled for choice. The walk up to Bury Ditches was lovely and on a blue sky day the views were spectacular. We hope to visit again in the future as we thoroughly enjoyed staying here.
Thanks for the lovely review. We love to hear that our guests have had a great experience.
Hope to see you again soon.

We have just returned from a fabulous few days here with our little dog. The cottage is spotless, comfortable and cosy and has the most amazing views over the countryside. Lots of lovely local walks and a great garden if you have your pooch with you. The cakes on arrival were a welcome treat and a special thank you to Tracey for the ‘night sky’ alert, it started my new year off perfectly! We really do hope to return

"We had a lovely stay at the Mytton."
The house is set in beautiful countryside with great views and lots of places to walk and visit nearby. Tracey and Chris made us feel very welcome and provided some tasty homemade cakes on arrival which was a lovely touch. We were a bit unlucky with the weather this week but it meant we made good use of the log burner! We visited some lovely places including, Ludlow, Much Wenlock, Bishops Castle (and its Michaelmas Fair), and lots of scenic places to walk including Long Mynde and Stiperstones.
We would love to visit again as there is so much more we would like to do in Shropshire.
Thanks for the lovely feedback. It means a lot to us. We would love to host you again.

"Stunning views from the front windows."
Personally, I prefer three seater settees but two seater settees are more common now.
A microwave would have been useful but it wasn't advertised, so knew one would not be available.

"A lovely cottage in a stunning location on the outskirts of Clun village."
A fantastic area with wonderful walks and great for cycling, especially MTB. The property is charming, characterful and well appointed, as well as being spacious and clean. The views from the garden are stunning. The hosts are very helpful and friendly.
Would definitely recommend a stay whether you’re hiking, cycling or fancy a romantic getaway (maybe all 3).
Village pubs, shops and cafe a 10 minute walk.
Thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely and helpful review. So glad you enjoyed your stay.
