  • "A fantastic house which has been wonderfully refurbished."

We really enjoyed our short break in Harlech. The owners are very attentive and respond to any queries very quickly. I would just mention that the car space is quite small and could be difficult to park depending on the size of the car, otherwise a fabulous house to stay in.

Hi Graham Thankyou so much for your outstanding feedback, we are so pleased that the property made your stay in beautiful Harlech even more enjoyable and you liked the refurbishment. We are still looking to improve the property if we can and a driveway alteration is one of them , although it is adequate for one car at the moment. Really hope you will want to return and stay at hafod y bryn again to enjoy the sun next time! Best regards Sara & Nick (Owners hafod y bryn) Property Owner

  • "The property was lovely very clean and comfortable with lots of nice touches ( milk water teabags Welsh cakes) also cleaning products which you don’t usually get."

Lovely log burner which we did use and it warmed the room really quickly. The guest information was useful and we could almost touch the castle walls. There is a convenience store just up the hill for your essentials and a lovely bakery with fresh bread. There wasn’t much open but it was really early in the season so I guess that’s why. We went into Barmouth (The last Inn and Llanbedr The Victoria to eat. Plenty of space for 5 and 2 medium size dogs. It was on a very steep hill which wasn’t mentioned in the listing it didn’t bother us but anyone less able may find it quite difficult. The parking space at the front was quite tight but manageable and we did secure a free space further up the hill for the other car. The walk to the beach took us about 20 mins. Our granddaughter went on a pony trek to the beach in Fairbourne which she loved the staff there were lovely. The weather was a bit mixed with plenty of rain but we came prepared so we didn’t mind at all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hi Jayne Thankyou so much for your great review - your feedback is very much appreciated. We are so pleased that you liked the property and you and your family had a good time exploring! Sounds like the welcome information was useful and you made the most of visiting all the dog friendly places mentioned. Really hope you will want to return again soon! • "We had the privilege of being the first guests to stay at Hafod Y Bryn."

It exceeded our expectations in lots of ways. The views from the property showing the sea view and the castle are amazing. It was lovely to sit in the enclosed patio area and watch the sea. The property itself has been luxuriously appointed, with lots of useful personal touches. All three bedrooms are generous in size and extremely comfortable. The living area is larger than it appears in the pictures. The sofas easily sat six adults, as did the seating area in the kitchen. There were lots of board games, which we all had fun with. It's safe to say, this is a very dog-friendly property. There are dog blankets and towels provided. It's also the first property we've stayed in that provided a welcome pack for the pooches and us! We had a minor issue that we reported and was dealt with within the hour. This alone shows how committed the owners are to the comfort of their guests.

Hi Cara Thankyou so much for your lovely review. We are so pleased that the property and stunning view went beyond your expectations and you enjoyed your stay. As our first guests at Hafod Y Bryn following a full refurbishment it is nice to know that everything met and even exceeded your requirements. We will continually be looking to improve on the property , no matter how small the detail may be, maintaining our standard and hope that you will return In the not too distant future to enjoy our view again. You and your family (and pooches) will be very welcome! Bests regards Sara and Nick Property Owner
