"Ivy cottage was absolutely perfect for our week in Wales, very cosy and comfortable with everything you could possibly need."
A great base for all our adventures with a 15 minutes walk to the beach (down a very steep hill) and a short drive to Snowdonia National park. Us and our pup would happily stay here again!

"Extremely comfortable and well equipped."
In an excellent position. Very characterful house with a lovely view from the garden, enjoyable to sit in the morning with a tea or the evening with a glass of wine. Informative welcome folder with great suggestions for our holiday. A welcome pack of goodies which was really appreciated. Great communication from the owner.

"Ivy cottage is a wonderful place to stay, it was very clean and comfortable."
The kitchen is so well equipped, everything you need to make a meal. The garden is enclosed so great for dogs too. The perfect spot for a relaxing break in North Wales. Such a beautiful area, lovely beaches and stunning waterfall walks. The views are amazing.
The cottage is situated on a very steep hill, so those with mobility issues may find it difficult. Otherwise great for the leg muscles!
Harlech is a lovely little village, views from the castle are amazing, well worth a visit.
A great little welcome pack left by the owner was much appreciated.
A great place, would thoroughly recommend.
Thank you for the lovely review, it is very much appreciated. Trudi

"Ivy Cottage is fabulous,it is one of the best holiday cottages that we've ever stayed in."
Beautiful location, with two gardens, the rear one has lovely views and catches the sun too. The cottage is so comfortable and quaint, whilst it has all mod cons,it's traditional features remain.Obviously much thought was put in to the renovation. Beach is within walking distance and Harlech offers plenty of places to eat/drink,with other places a short drive away. Dog friendly area and very friendly locals. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ivy Cottage. Communication from Trudi the owner was spot on. Thanking all concerned.
Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback. I am really pleased you enjoyed your stay

"Beautiful, cozy little cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break in lovely Harlech."
Yes - it’s on a steep hill but it’s fine - good to walk off all the treats! If you want logs for the fire (super cosy), the convenience store at the top of the hill is by far the best price. If you want to eat out, it’s best to book ahead. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond.

"Gorgeous cottage in an outstanding location."
The cottage is very characterful and has pretty much everything you would need. It is on a very steep hill and the parking is a bit tricky (passengers have to get out the car so it doesn't scrap on the bottom as you pull in). My only other feedback would be that it would be good to have another comfy chair in the lounge - there is only a 2 person sofa and an armchair, and with four of us staying, I would expect to have seating for 4 in the lounge.

"This is a beautiful well cared for comfortable cottage and was spotless with a lovely welcome pack to greet us on arrival ."
However we feel that you should highlight in your description that the cottage sits in the middle of “ the worlds steepest street “
Thank you for your feedback and lovely comments on the cottage
The steepest street in the world is in New Zealand, so sadly I am mot able to put that on my listing. The cottage is set on a beautiful winding lane with quite a few elderly residents who have lived there for many many years. It is a few minutes walk into Harlech Town where there are lovely coffee shops, deli, ice cream shop, gift shops and the wonderful castle.

"This cottage was extremely comfortable and very well equipped."
It was the best bed we’ve slept in too. The owner was very welcoming and allowed us to bring our 3 little dogs. The garden was very secure which really is a must for us. We will definitely be going back to stay at Ivy Cottage in the future as we cannot fault it. Harlech is a beautiful location too. Thank you x

"Loved this little cottage."
It's was very welcoming and homely. It was clean and tidy.
All the extra touches were fabulous, wood for the fire, towels, toiletries, little hamper pack, even the throws. Brilliant.
We had driven for a good few hours, so the the tea coffee milk sugar were massively appreciated when we eventually arrived. We would definitely come back. Such a cosy cottage.
We did have trouble trying to work the oven and hob, but we got there in the end. Maybe details of the workings would come in handy and helpful. Out of 5 we would definitely give a 5+. We had a lovely few days.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. It means a lot to me that you liked the cottage. I'm sorry you had problems with hob. I could have helped if you had called me but I have put together some instructions so that it doesn't happen again. Thank you

"Beautiful cottage, well up kept, and good kitchen facilities."
There are 2 downers. 1. It is on a very steep street. It could cause major problems to some. 2. The Internet it very weak making it very difficult watching TV in the evening, as it was constantly buffering.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you liked the cottage. I have since found out that the Internet was running slow for all of Harlech during your stay due to the storms and repair work being carried. I'm sorry it caused problems for you. I'm pleased to say it is ok now

"We had a lovely Christmas holiday at Ivy Cottage."
The cottage was well furnished and very comfortable, ideally situated being very close to the town centre of Harlech and Castle. The owner lives near by and responded quickly, also visited, to any questions we raised. We will definitely stay again at Ivy Cottage.

"The cottage is well equipped (needs an iron/ironing board) and warm and cosy."
We loved the log burner. The owner also left a breakfast hamper that was much appreciated. The main problem for us was the location. It's position half way down the steepest road in the world presented some problems. The road is single track and bendy and the car park space needs some maintenance, it was tricky to manoeuvre our car. The sign at the top of the road says unsuitable for motor vehicles and its correct. Apart from that the area is lovely and Harlech beach is a delight.
Thank you for your feedback. I am really pleased you liked my cotrage and found it comfortable.
I am sorry you struggled with the road. The road can be a little tricky but it is fine if you take it steady. It is ok for motor vehicles but not large lorries (vans are fine too). There are a lot of cottages down there and they all drive down safely. Sadly I do not own the parking space but I have been in touch with the local authority to make it a little better.

"The car parking area needs some work."
Hi, thank you so much for the great feedback you left in my visitors book. I am so glad you had a lovely stay and want to return.
Sadly the parking space is owned by the local authority, but I agree it does need some new chippings putting down. I will arrange this myself. Thank you again. Best wishes, Trudi.

"The cottage is 10/10."
Full of character yet has all modern amenities and furnished to a very high standard. It is clear the host has taken great care in putting everything together - it’s a very comfortable & cosy place.
We were welcomed with some lovely fresh bread, eggs, bottle of wine and delicious Welsh cakes! The main bedroom has a very comfy king size bed and the bathroom is modern with a huge tub. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The garden (front & back) is secure which our puppy loved being able to explore in.
All in all, cannot fault this place - it’s a true gem in the heart of Harlech. Walking distance from the castle and lots of eateries & shops and a 5 minute drive from Harlech beach which must be the most beautiful beach we’ve seen in the UK.
We would love to return to this little cottage someday for another little getaway.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It means the world to me It makes all the hard work truly worth it.
When I was renovating the cottage, I wanted to make sure the people who stay in it love and appreciate it as much as I do. Thank you
