  • "Allt Y Mor is so lovely I hesitate to tell you in case it is so booked up we won’t be able to rent it again next year!"

The location is superb- views from every window, lovely garden where we spent hours watching dolphins and herons, painted the light changing on the sea. The house is well laid out clean and tasteful and even the lack of wi fi was made up for by the views. Very small kitchen but well provided with equipment etc. The lack of heating wasn’t a problem in June but may be more tricky in winter , though the log burner did a good job on the cooler evenings. All together great and I could imagine myself living there and spending my days watching the changing light across the bay.

  • "It was our second holiday at Allt y mor."

We noticed a few stains on the carpets that weren't there on our first visit. We were surprised how dirty the front windows were with old bird mess that appears to have been half heartedly wiped over. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay in an otherwise delightful cottage.

  • "Hi. My daughters, grandson Hugo and Herbert the dog have just had the most wonderful week in this amazing cottage."

Waking up to the view of the beach and sea and distant mountains has restored some peace to us following the loss of my husband. Allt-y-Mor will be the place to make new memories for us. We will be booking again. Please pass on our best wishes to the owner. Thank you so much. Mary, Catherine, Caroline, Hugo and Herbert our border terrier.

  • "The absolute best location- amazing views, quiet and tranquil."

The house has everything you need, very comfy beds and love all the books and games. We liked that there was no WiFi- meant we slowed down and enjoyed the amazing location, spent time with each other and ‘switched off’. Great that there is a railway station so close- I didn’t have to drive when we went to Harlech. Thoroughly recommend

  • "What a beautiful property in a beautiful location!"

The cottage could be described as fairly basic but not in a negative way. It has everything we needed, lots of kitchen equipment and tableware. Clear instructions for heating, hot water and the like. It was clean and fresh and homely. The beds were amazing and the duvets so luxurious! I love that there is no WiFi - a real benefit to more involved family time haha! The garden’s direct access to the beach was perfect and the cafe a few minutes walk away was excellent and welcoming. The Victoria Inn in Llanbedr was great too. Definitely recommend the Wales Coast Walk for some stunning scenery and lovely gentle walking! Loved our stay and would happily return.

  • "You do not highlight there is no Wi-fi which in this day and age but particularly as with bunks the intention is to have children, is extraordinary especially in an area that barely has a 3G signal."

There is also no dishwasher nor washing machine. The bungalow smelt musty, particularly the snug, there were long hairs in the bathroom and I could go on.

  • "Allt y Mor exceeded our expectations in every way."

The pictures do not do justice to the stunning views from the main room and the bedrooms; the sunsets were incredible. The house is really well appointed, and was spotlessly clean. We found the bed very comfortable, especially after the long walks (Snowdon and Cader Idris are both less than one hour away). The house is also well positioned for visits to the great castles of North Wales, and we discovered some wondeful restaurants and pubs within a 15 minute drive. The wood burning stove and heaters ensured that we were very warm throughout our stay. We would unhesitatingly recommend Allt y Mor and cannot wait to return.

  • "Allt y mor was excellent for us."

Its position right on the coast meant you could just hear and watch the sea from the comfort of the house. We love all wildlife and it was fantastic to see many seabirds and seals through the window. Direct access to the beach was great for swimming or walking on the beach. There are also many great walks in the hills behind Llandanwg and Harlech which was great for us and the dogs. Cannot really fault the position of the property. The bungalow itself was good and fine for the two of us plus 2 dogs. I find beds in most holiday let's uncomfortable but the double bed at Ally y mor was comfortable and I did not wake up with a bad back, a real bonus for me. We did have a couple of cold days but with plenty of electric heaters and log burner we were warm enough. Just a couple of negatives. We got very wet twice and nowhere to dry clothes. The kitchen was OK for us but may be small for six, also chipped mugs and plates. The extra sitting area/end of garage smelled musty and looked grubby we did not use. Place could of been cleaner but expect that as dogs allowed. All in all we loved it and would definitely book again.

  • "We have visited Allt Y Mor for at least 10 years."

It’s a very special place for us. Having the linen, towels and cleaning provided, is an added luxury. Reassuring extra measures were put in place due to the pandemic. We appreciated this holiday more than ever this year. Thank you to all at Sykes for making it happen.
