  • "Firstly, I want to state that the accommodation was very comfortable and in a great location for visiting Elan Valley."

My initial thoughts on the location were regarding the proximity to the main road and petrol station, as this is not documented in the description, and I had concerns about excessive traffic noise. However, there was very little outside noise, especially at night, as the road was fairly quiet and the petrol station closed at midnight. Truckers do park on the slip road at night; however, this was not a problem for us, and you rarely heard them arrive or leave, even with a noise-reactive dog. The map directions are not correct and send you to a road further along on the left, so the directions could do with being updated, as I had to ask a local for directions. The flat was very clean and tidy on arrival, with only a few minor concerns. The freezer compartment of the fridge had a broken latch, so I had to fashion a stopper to keep it shut and the food frozen. Secondly, there were some pitta breads in the higher cupboard with an expiry date of May 2026, which I placed in the bin. If a chopping board could be added to the kitchen, along with some kitchen foil, that would be a bonus. The batteries in the emergency torch also need replacing, as it did not work. I would recommend this property to others, primarily due to its proximity to Elan Valley and the surrounding areas, but also because it was comfortable and spacious. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom, despite looking dated, provided excellent water pressure in the shower.

  • "Inadequate kitchen equipment."

No sharp knives, only bread knife. Too cold during the day and night - heating not on until 5 pm. Key secure housing jammed so previous occupant left key in the open door. I was unable to open the key housing and had to leave the apartment as I found it with key in back of door and door unlocked therefore.

  • "Bedrooms very welcoming and comfortable beds, however, the bathroom needed some attention."

The property slept four people, however, only 3 mugs supplied? Somewhat frustrating as the smaller bedroom had no where to hang clothes and the clothes frame thing in the larger bedroom was no good for longer dresses. There was no where else to hang clothes behind doors in the bedrooms. Why? Not enough places to hang wet towels too. Why?
