  • "You MUST stay at this cabin."

A hot tub with a view to die for, a cabin perfectly clean on arrival in a part of Wales that will blow you away with how stunning it is, and owners who couldn’t be more helpful. We just returned today & are already looking at booking again.. Thanks Bethan & family.. Mike, Kate, Ollie, Abbie from Cotswolds

There was mould in the bathroom and the hot tub was not functioning as it should, probably the filter wasn’t even working properly as the water was becoming very foamy and cloudy, despite having a shower and cleaning before getting in the tub Check out time could have been flexible

We did put a request to Sykes to not let you stay in our property again after the awful mess you had left the first time you stayed, As for mould in the bathroom it was dirt that was certainly not there before you arrived, the hot tub is working perfectly fine, Property Owner

  • "The cabin was a lovely place to stay with beautiful views."

I think for the price and general feel of it being a luxury cabin a few extras would be very helpful and welcome - additional towels for hot tub, soaps etc (rather than nearly empty carex) etc.

Thank you for your review, but if you had looked under the kitchen sink we always leave 2 extra carex for your use, Property Owner

  • "It is hard to believe that this cabin is not brand new for the season!"

It is immaculate and has a fantastic position which is both convenient and private, not an easy thing to achieve. We wanted a complete rest and chill week and managed that with this cabin, we spent time visiting the surrounding areas but also a lot of time in the cabin and found the layout worked really well, both inside and out. The hot tub is the best position we have ever had for a tub and truly provided panoramic views with the added benefit of red kites soaring the skies overhead. A great place to unwind. The owners could not have been more helpful so full marks. We will be back

Light and airy. Totally secure garden for dog. Extremely large comfortable bed. Hot tub a great asset. Large decking area ( sun loungers would have been nice) to enjoy the amazing views. Highly recommended, would stay again.

  • "I really enjoyed my stay at Bryn Eiddon and found it to be a lovely cabin that was comfortable and well equipped."

The location is lovely and the views around the mountains is stunning. A couple of things I would say about the cabin is that people may not get a mobile signal in the cabin. I had to go a mile down the road to get a signal. Netflix services were intermittent with buffering - so watching a film could be frustrating. Bryn Eiddon stands on it's own grounds but I wouldn't describe it as secluded as it's on a road which is frequently used for bike club outings and can be quite noisy. Also advise holiday makers of any delivery services that might be available from super markets etc. Suggested improvements: Provide a slip mat for the shower, a shelf in the bathroom, a coat-hook for the bathroom and a toilet roll holder. Provide loungers for the patio instead of a bench seat.

The lodge is secluded from other properties. There was everything that you needed - a real getaway from it all place. Mobile signal is not great (but I understand that a new phone mast will be erected soon). WiFi in the property was very good. Excellent host.

Easy to find, clean & tidy on arrival, no evidence of pets at all. We wanted for nothing as the cabin is fully equipped. Hostess dropped by to check if all was ok and say hello, lovely touch. Stunning location to disconnect and reset. Let your eyes relax onto the far reaching views and take in the local wildlife and allow your mind to wander..... Lots of walks right out the door and great to relax by the fire or in the hot-tub after a few hours hiking. Could easily recommend to family & friends as it was a pleasure to be there. Thank you Bethan. x

  • "We loved staying here."

The cottage was well equipped and presented. It is completely private and secluded. We were a bit concerned that most cottages imply this but actually they're right next to another property, but not here. Such a relaxing location. We'll be back!

  • "Bryn Eiddon is pure magic."

We had the best weeks holiday here. The views are incredible, the property was the cleanest holiday rental we've ever stayed in. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and a pleasure to cook in. Bethan the owner is lovely, very friendly and helpful and left us a nice bottle of prosecco. Watching the sunset from the hot tub and then stargazing in a perfect dark sky. Seeing tiny newborn lambs curled up right on your fence line when you open the blinds in the morning. Red kites and buzzards flying so low overhead you can see their colours clearly, all perfect memories of our time here. A few things to be aware of, the internet can be a little unreliable for Netflix etc but great for browsing. We managed a WhatsApp video call with our son on my husbands Birthday but neither of us had any phone signal. We kept our dog on a long lead when in the garden, we didn't want him getting excited by the sheep and causing any distress. We would love to return one day and totally recommend this place for a romantic and perfectly secluded holiday.

It was perfect in every way. So peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. The views were stunning and we had some beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Beth was really lovely, she was on hand if there was anything we needed, but we didn't need a thing! This place exceeded on every level. We can't wait to come again and have already recommended to friends. The log cabin is so stunning, you will not be disappointed. The hot tub was fab, great log burner, it was so cosy and comfortable and spacious. We stayed with our 12 year old son who is a full time wheelchair user and our little dog Buddy. Waking up in the morning and watching the sun rise from your bed, and the sheep grazing, was so nice. Totally perfect for a get away from it all break I breathtaking surroundings. It was really romantic.

Brought my parents, who are in their 80s who loved the warmth and comfort of the log cabin and of course the stunning views! Having everything all on one level, so was perfect for them and made everything easy. The place was equipped with everything we needed, my only suggestion would be to have a few hooks on backs of doors, but just a small suggestion cos it was brilliant in everyway! Thanks for a brilliant stay. My parents are asking when they can come again!

This place is so secluded and relaxing. Bethan the owner was very welcoming, helpful and kind. This was a great base for exploring Wales. My husband enjoyed the hot tub a lot, he's now trying to convince me that we need one at home. The kitchen had everything we needed and with an abundance of Christmas food to eat we made good use of it. The location was superb we particularly enjoyed the company of our neighbours in the field, the sheep, and got very excited when a little lamb appeared on the Thursday morning. Although we didn't do as much walking as i'd have liked we still found lots to do locally, despite it being the beginning of January and a lot of places were closed. we would most definitely use the cabin again and have already recommended it to family.
