    From the moment we arrived, the shepherd’s hut felt warm, welcoming, and incredibly cosy. It was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were lucky with the weather, which meant we could make the most of the peaceful surroundings, and the hot tub was the absolute highlight—perfect for unwinding after a day of doing absolutely nothing! It was exactly the restful escape we were looking for. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to switch off and recharge, we couldn’t recommend this place more highly. We’ve already told all our friends and family about this little gem and would love to come back!

  • "We had a really relaxing and peaceful few days in the Charollais shepherds hut."

    The hot tub is fantastic,one of the best we've had. The views from the hut were beautiful, we loved watching the lambs. Everything was clean and comfortable. The enclosed garden handy for our dog. We would definitely love to go back sometime.

  • "Our stay here was nothing short of perfect."

    My partner and I stayed here for Valentine’s weekend, and initially only planned to stay 2 nights, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay. Lowri and Gwyn were such lovely, accommodating hosts. The facilities were fantastic; nice and clean, and had everything we needed, which made it feel even more like home. The views were stunning, as well as the surrounding walking trails. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly. We also were left some Welsh cakes and fresh milk by the hosts which was a lovely added touch. And the hot tub facilities under the stars really made the trip. Thank you so much for being amazing. 5⭐️’s!! Can’t wait to rebook.

  • "This was an incredible place to stay and we will definitely be booking again!"

    When we first saw this stay listed we were worried it may be too small for us- but we needn't have worried as it offered all the space we needed and more! Fab walks, great jacuzzi and very dog friendly. Great team on hand when we needed help & support during our stay. Highly recommend this fab stay.

  • "10/10 the location is perfect with some beautiful views around, with your own privacy!"

    ! Many things to do within a hour or so drive. We will definitely be visiting again in the future, the hosts are wonderful and helpful, we had a great relaxing weekend break away!!

  • "Blown away, amazing property stunning views, owners are lovely, the hot tub was perfect on a star filled night just wow no other words."

    We did not want to leave and will be back. A perfect location for exploring beautiful Wales. The information provided by owners in the hut was the best we have had, places to visit, eat would highly recommend the local pud food is fantastic and owner and staff really friendly they loved our GSD who made himself at home

  • "We had such a lovely stay at Charollais!"

    We really enjoyed it for one and our little Pup really enjoyed the walks that you’re surrounded by. We did have a slight issue on our first night which was the tap coming off, however, we did receive really quick maintenance and therefore cannot fault anything about our stay. We will definitely be back to Charollais! Thank you

  • "We had a great stay at Charollais."

    The views were amazing and there are plenty of good walks on your doorstep, as well as more just a short drive away A guide is provided with details of local attractions and resturants/take aways etc. The hot tub was ready and waiting when we got there and worked perfectly. The Plas Moelfre Hall Shepherds Huts consists of a charming selection of three shepherds huts resting in the scenic village of Moelfre, Powys. This pet-friendly collection offers stunning countryside views, off-road parking, enclosed gardens with hot tubs, and open-plan living, making it well-suited to families, couples, or groups of friends on a rural retreat in North Wales. Soak up your local surroundings with a scenic stroll up the farm's private mountain 'Y Gyrn' or explore the 250 acres of farmland at your leisure. Walks up to nearby Llyn Moelfre and the old moat and bailey setting of  Sycharth are a stones throw from the huts. Venture a little further afield to Wrexham for the Xplore! Further afield lies the Welsh mountains and coast and picturesque Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, while the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, Medieval Shrewsbury and Roman Chester are also within driving distance.
