  • "We has a lovely week in Cheviot shepherds hut."

    The hut is beautifully made and comfortable and had everything we needed. The secure garden gave our little dog freedom to roam. The countryside is stunning and the views from the bedroom are a treat. Sitting in the hot tub in the evening was magical made better by hearing a tawny owl.

  • "My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at the Cheviot and we couldn’t recommend it more!"

    There’s plenty of things to do around the area and we will be thinking of re-booking sometime in the future! The Cheviot itself was comfortable, cosy, and had everything you could need. I wish we could’ve stayed longer :)

  • "My mother, our dog Rosie, and I stayed at the Cheviot Shepherd Hut from the 26th to the 28th of September for a girls' getaway."

    From start to finish, we loved every moment of our stay. The local walks were full of striking views, and the shepherd’s hut itself was fantastic! Everything felt effortless, and the absolute icing on the cake was waking up each morning to find the hot tub already prepared and waiting for us. Rosie particularly love watching the sheep on the field nearby and the garden space at the front of the shepherds hut provided her with her own free space to roam without us needing to worry. Thank you so much—we’ll definitely be looking to book again!

  • "We have stayed in lots of Shephard Huts and this by far is now a firm favourite of ours and quite possibly N°1 on our list, and so we will be sure to return."

    The surrounding area is idyllic and the perfect welcome break from our busy work/home life. The hut has absolutely everything required to make your stay comfortable and stress free. My only recommendation is that the cold tap at the bathroom basin is checked as its viscious and soaked us the 1st time we used it but no big deal so only an ask. We are already checking our diary to book our next stay asap.

  • "Just brilliant."

    Cheviot was picture perfect and we had the best week staying there. Beautifully presented with everything you could need for a short break. The bed was large and comfortable, there was good storage for our belongings, the kitchen had quality appliances and the shower was superb. We especially enjoyed having a secure fenced garden for our dog so he had some freedom whilst we were soaking in the hot tub!

The Plas Moelfre Hall Shepherds Huts consists of a charming selection of three shepherds huts resting in the scenic village of Moelfre, Powys.
