Ty Llwyd Shepherds Huts

Tucked away within the scenic Elan Valley are two rustically charming shepherds huts, Elan and Claerwen, which rest on the outskirts of the small village of Nant-glas. Remotely set, the huts make for a fantastic getaway for a couple and their canine companion or for a group of four looking for an idyllic country escape. The huts boast a homely interior which has everything you will need during your stay, including a two-ring hob and microwave for conjuring up delicious meals. There is also a TV for catching up on your favourite series after a day of exploring, and a handy shower room for freshening up. Guests will benefit from an enclosed garden which boasts expansive country views, ideal for taking in your surroundings over your morning coffee. Ideally located just a short distance from Rhayader, where there is a delightful selection of pubs, restaurants and tearooms, as well as shops and the CARAD Rhayader Museum and Gallery. Walkers and cyclists will delight at the trails and routes on offer throughout the Elan Valley, but don't worry if you haven't brought your bike as you can hire one in Rhayader! Just a little further is Llandrindod Wells, home to the National Cycle Museum, an excellent golf course and the Rock Park and Spa, perfect for a leisurely walk. For a day at the beach, head further afield to Aberystwyth, where you will find a fantastic selection of sandy beaches, as well as the historic former castle grounds and the Vale of Rheidol Railway.
