  • "We had the most relaxing long weekend here."

The views are beautiful, we loved everything about the cabin. All the little touches made it even better, the owners had even thought of the dog! Our dog loved staying here and watching the sheep across the hillside. I'd recommend waking up early and watching the sunrise over the hillside in front of the cabin. 5 Stars! Hoping to book in another weekend soon!

Thank you Abbiegail for your lovely review, looking forward to seeing you at the cabin again soon xx Property Owner

  • "WOW, loved it, loved it, loved it!"

It exceeded our expectations! Stunning all round views, all you can hear is birds singing and little lambs bouncing about calling their mums , It really is very peaceful and quiet, we loved the accommodation, it was spotless and furnished to a high standard, it is huge for two people, the bed and the bedroom were the biggest we have ever stayed in, and the stand alone bath with the breath taking views was just stunning and so relaxing. The hot tub was just what we needed and big for just two people! And again the views, wow! We really appreciated the treats in the welcome basket. It was so perfect for our romantic getaway, we are so definitely going back! ❤️ Many thanks to the owners Banty, Rachel and family x

Newbridge-On-Wye 2 miles.

Ystrad Wen is new to Sykes for summer 2024 and is a beautifully-presented holiday cabin perched just outside of the quaint village of Newbridge-On-Wye in Powys.

Surrounded by acres of stunning and undisturbed countryside, this property makes for a perfect secluded getaway for couples and a furry friend or two.

After spending the evening soaking in the warmth of the hot tub and gazing at the stars, make your way back inside and freshen up with either a hot shower or steaming bath in the freestanding bath in the bedroom.

Put on your comfiest pyjamas and cuddle up on the sofa to watch your favourite movie on the Smart TV, while your other half whips up a feast in the fully-equipped kitchen.

Enjoy your meal either around the dining table or if weather permits out on the patio, for a spot of alfresco dining.

Moving through the property, head to the bedroom and slip under the fresh linens to catch your rest after a long day of adventures.

If you don't feel like cooking, make your way to the local village of Rhayader and savour a hearty meal at the Triangle pub or The Crown.

Nature lovers pack some lunch and drive over to the charming town of Llandrindod Wells where you can have a picnic in Llandrindod Lake Park, overlooking a glistening lake, take a hike through the verdant woods of Bailey Einon, then why not end the evening with a drink and some live music at Pavilion Mid Wales?

Pack your swimsuit and take the scenic route to the seaside town of Aberystwyth, where you'll hop on a ride through hillside woodlands on the vintage Edwardian train at Vale of Rheidol Railway, enjoy the sunshine on the warm sand and water at South Beach, and end the day with a dinner date at the waterside Upstairs at the Pier restaurant.

Ystrad Wen is the perfect getaway for you and your loved one.
