• "There were no curtains or blinds at the living room windows or patio doors and whilst this would be suitable in the summer with the beautiful views while we were there it was dark by 7-30."

  This did not make for a cosy atmosphere. The outside seating area was quite overgrown and the steps to the seating area were quite narrow and difficult to negotiate as pensioners.

• "The location is amazing, right under the Mach loop and amazing views of the planes and surrounding hills."

  Only 10 minute drive to local shops and takeaways. The home is equipped with loads of DVDs and CDs, loads of outdoor games and camping chairs for beach days etc. The WiFi is pretty good, it does drop out every now and again but in a rural location so to be expected. There is lovely shower gel provided in all the bathrooms which was a nice touch. Be aware that there are very little cleaning supplies left in the property so bring your own washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing pods, cloths, spray for the sides etc. Similarly with foil, cling film etc (not a criticism just to note). We are too used to others providing this and got caught out by this. We had to wash all of the cutlery, pans and glasses on our arrival as there was food burnt onto them / stuck to them. There were bogies stuck to the wall in the room with the bunk beds. The outdoor seating area is small and down a slippy overgrown set of steps so not ideal for those with poor mobility. The beds are super uncomfortable, the upstairs bedroom you can feel the springs sticking the mattress. All but 1 of the bunkbed mattresses are very uncomfortable again able to feel all the springs sticking through, multiple of our party ended up sleeping on the sofas due to this. The other two double beds have very soft mattresses so comfort when sleeping is limited. Only one of the locks work on the bathroom doors. The kitchen table has a broken leg and is wobbly. Lastly to note the oven isn’t that big so if you’re cooking for a large group bring an air fryer. Cleanliness of the pots and room with bunk beds and comfort of beds aside it was a lovely stay. Really peaceful and lovely home. The hosts are very responsive.

  The cottage's location is perfect—nestled in a valley surrounded by beautiful hills, with a breathtaking landscape that made morning tea with a view an absolute delight. The cottage itself had everything we needed, and the owners went above and beyond to help with all our questions, especially since we were traveling with my elderly mother, who has limited mobility. We had a truly memorable time and highly recommend this cottage if you're looking for a secluded spot surrounded by natural beauty!

  A beautiful house that is well equipped and comfortable. The location is stunning, with incredible views, both of mountains and aircraft in the Mach Loop! Such a great place to just hang out and relax.

• "Myself and 7 of my girlfriends stayed for the weekend in this cottage to celebrate my 50th and it was just so perfect."

  The location is nothing short of stunning and the cottage really felt like a home from home. As a surprise, my friends had booked us a Private Chef for the Friday evening which was a dream and made our stay even more memorable! If we had to give this place 3 words it would be beautiful, atmospheric and so comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We will be returning!

• "We recently stayed at this property and, while the host was kind, responsive, and genuinely tried to help, the stay unfortunately didn’t meet expectations — particularly for the price paid."

  The property itself is in an extremely rural location with absolutely beautiful views, which we really appreciated. However, when one goes away, there’s also an expectation that the accommodation will be in good condition and properly maintained — sadly, that wasn’t quite the case here. The downstairs main bedroom and bathroom were in poor condition: the bathroom door had no lock, the glass shelf was loose and unsafe, and the bedroom door didn’t close properly. The mattress was also extremely uncomfortable, which made it difficult to sleep, and some of our group ended up leaving early because of it. Towards the last few days of our stay, the dishwasher could no longer be used as it caused the electrics to trip repeatedly, and the electric hob was very slow, making it difficult to cook for ten people. Handwashing for a group that size quickly became quite burdensome. To her credit, the owner was attentive throughout, arranged for a handyman (who was very polite and helpful), and showed us how to refill the handwash bottles. She also offered some compensation, which we appreciated. However, there was only so much she could do during our stay. Overall, while the host was lovely and the setting truly beautiful, the property itself needs significant maintenance and better cleaning checks. Sadly, it simply wasn’t worth the money we paid.

  Apologies for the lateness of my response as I have only just seen your feedback. As I mentioned during your stay, I am so sorry that some elements of our property did not meet your expectations. Before your stay, I had not been made aware of any issues and, once you raised them to me, I had them rectified very quickly. As a result of the issue you found with the dishwasher, the dishwasher has been replaced as some glass has become stuck in the bottom and damaged the pump. We have not had any previous feedback about the hob and the bed. It is good to know you appreciated the compensation I gave you as I always strive to give our guests the home away from home experience I would wish for myself. Property Owner

• "This cottage was wonderful."

  The location is stunning and the cottage, warm comfortable and has everything you need. We had a lovely weeks stay here. We would certainly recommend this cottage. We stayed very local as lots of lovely walks near by. After a long walk it was lovey to come back and light the fire for the evening. The information provided with the cottage was accurate and informative.

• "Wonderful stay, just as listed."

  Isolated yet so near everything. Would recommend pushing how warm the cottage is with its thick walls and great heating system. As to the track down we had a Juke. VW troc and BMW X1 and they all managed the track with no problem. Great to have the sheep so close which proved fantastic entertainment for our little granddaughter. Thoroughly recommend a stay here. Brilliant weekend.

• "This home was beautiful and made for an absolutely wonderful holiday."

  It was like a home away from home for my family of 6 and my parents along for the holiday (8 people total). The owners were quick to respond when needed and very helpful when we realized we left an important item behind. I would highly recommend this place when visiting Wales!
