"Everything about the property was fabulous."
This is also true of the owners who greeted us shortly after our arrival and said goodbye before we left.
Our only criticism (not of the owners) was the extremely poor directions to the property given on the Sykes instructions. However, as the owners had contacted us prior to the start of our holiday we had their mobile number and they provided very clear, excellent directions.
We would highly recommend this property

"We had a lovely time away."
We booked as a family and found the house was perfect to come back to after a day of exploring. The property is very spacious and everything was to a high spec. the children enjoyed the forest fairy walk which was perfect for there age (3 years old). Unfortunately there was 2 storms during our week away but the fire made us always feel cosy. The hosts were fantastic and on hand if we needed them. Thankfully on speaking to them on departure they advised of road closures which would have effect our journey home. They saved us a big diversion and also pointed out a lovely place for lunch on our journey home.

"Dave & Yvonne were the perfect hosts, I don't honestly think anyone who ever stays at this house could find a single fault with them."
They are so warm welcoming and nothing was too much. We absolutely loved staying at this stunning house, it has everything you could possibly want in a holiday house and more on top of that! The house is just a short stop away from Portsoy with some of the best ice cream were ever had. We went with the inlaws and our two little boys and the house suited all our ages giving the boys plenty of space to play but also downstairs bathroom and bedrooms for my inlaws who can't manage the stairs easily. Can't wait to get another chance to come back and stay here again with other family!
Thank you dave and Yvonne x

"The property was excellent and the owners couldn't have been more helpful."
The only thing which wasn't clear when booking was that the main upstairs bedroom was open to the stairs and then through to the kitchen and living area. There was no way of closing off the bedroom from the rest of the house and no means of separating the living and sleeping areas. This meant that, if someone was in bed upstairs, they had no real privacy from the rest of the house.

"We had a fantastic stay."
The P'lace of Glassaugh is situated between Cullen and portsoy, a perfect situation for travelling to different places. The owners Dave and Yvonne are a fantastic couple, on arriving at our accommodation they had left us a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, they had went out their way to get gluten free crackers for my husband. The local restaurants were excellent and catered for coeliac (gluten free). The Station Hotels, Portsoy and Portknockie fish and chips were excellent. We visited a few National Trust and Historic Scotland sites, but please book with Historic Scotland in advance. Excellent Holiday

The owners were so helpful, friendly and most welcoming. Lots of extra touches in the fridge, in the kitchen & utility room cupboards that we could use if we had forgotten something from home. To top it all, there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine, oatcakes and a platter of mixed cheeses & fruit. Thank you so much Dave and Yvonne. The perfect hosts.

"Our stay at P’lace of Glassaugh was simply brilliant."
We were so looking forward to staying at this beautiful cottage and and we were certainly not disappointed. Dave and Yvonne, our hosts, have an eye for detail and comfort which made our stay luxurious. From the high end quality kitchen, to the spacious bathrooms and the restful beds the cottage is beautifully presented with everything that you could want for a perfect stay. The underfloor heating and the wood fire also made our stay very cosy indeed. There is a lovely grassed area in front of the cottage for children to run around and an outdoor barbecue and seating area for relaxing in fine weather. The location of the cottage in a quiet rural setting was excellent, allowing us to visit many coastal villages, castles and points of interest as well as being within driving distance of Aviemore and the Cairngorms National Park with its spectacular scenery. We would highly recommend this cottage as a high end luxurious stay and we would love to stay here again.
