    The house is modern, beautifully furnished and well equipped. The owner went way beyond expectations to accommodate us and to give us the best experience by suggesting places to visit and activities nearby. The house is in a beautiful location, perfect for seeing dolphins, visiting amazing beaches and walking or biking through the forests. We would recommend this house to anybody and will definitely be coming back.

  • "We had a great break at this cottage."

    It was spacious, comfy and was well kitted out. It's in a beautiful location and we were visited by local wildlife frequently (Inc hares, deer, birds of prey etc) - which the kids loved. The local area has plenty to see and do. Great beaches, loads of mountain biking, surfing and more. The hosts had loads of great tips for things to do. We will have to come back again

Lying in the beautiful rural area of Rafford in Moray, Scotland is this spectacular brand new eco-build, Na Clamhanan.

Clad in Scottish larch and roofed in slate, Na Clamhanan has been built with all natural materials throughout.

This timber structure blends wonderfully with its surroundings, set in a sunny site within 2 acres of young mixed woodland, you will be deep within a world full of wildlife, with frequent sightings from the house of buzzards, deer, owls, and hares to name a few.

This light, bright, warm house has oak and heated slate floors throughout and an open-plan living space where you can enjoy quality time with your party.

The fully fitted kitchen and the large dining table lend themselves to social occasions or alternatively simply relax on the balcony or in front of the Smart TV surrounded by simple minimalist decor.

The ground floor bedroom with south facing picture window, is perfect for those less able, and home to a king-size zip/link bed and a chair bed, and adjacent to a fully-accessible wet room.

The handy utility room contains modern washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer.

Upstairs enjoy the full height vaulted lounge with large windows and balcony adding to the breath-taking expanse and use of space, with a woodburning stove adding a homely atmosphere.

Sofas, beanbags and Smart TV ensure indoor relaxation and the lounge leads out onto a large west facing balcony, perfect for an evening glass of wine or dinner.

The study area of the living space is lit by overhead Vellux windows and equipped with desk and shelving suitable for writing or working.

The upstairs bathroom benefits from Jack-and-Jill access to the second bedroom, which is home to a king-size bed and its very own balcony for you to wake up to and take in the fresh air and morning sunshine.

Throughout the bedrooms the Egyptian cotton bed linen maintains the feeling of luxury.

The south and west facing lawn surrounding the property is ideal for children to play on and outdoor furniture is provided on all aspects ensuring a sunny seat whatever time of day to enjoy the BBQ provided.

A wonderful array of attractions await in this area, with quiet sandy beaches perfect for families lying all along the Moray Coast, as featured in National Geographic Magazine’s top rated coastal destinations of the world.

The picturesque fishing village of Findhorn offers a natural marina, pubs and an award-winning slow food café.

Avid mountain bikers will revel in the many trails in the area for all abilities, or cyclists can take in the scenery from the quiet roads with many brilliant loops to try out.

A visit to the Pluscarden Abbey is a fascinating one; this medieval Catholic monastery is still operating today and is home to Benedictine Monks and daily services.

The famous Malt Whisky Tour is practically on your doorstep, visit Dallas Dhu, Benromach and Glenlivet to sample Scotland's most renowned tipple.

Along with salmon fishing, boat trips, dolphin watching and local wild swimming, this area is a must-visit.

The pretty town of Forres is one of Scotland's oldest small towns and boasts an array of historical monuments, museums and castles, as well as impressive parks and award winning gardens. Forres is an ideal starting point for exploring the Malt Whisky Trail being home to two of the Distilleries, and in close proximity to another five! Forres boasts two golf courses and some excellent fishing opportunities. Ideally placed for visiting the atmospheric fishing villages that are dotted along the north east coastline and just twenty seven miles from the capital of the Highlands, Inverness, it is a great base for a holiday. You can immerse yourself in history with Cawdor and Brodie Castles, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George all within easy reach. Alternatively you can spend time at Findhorn enjoying the beach and looking for seals or a days watersports finishing with a drink overlooking the bay whilst the sun goes down. A five minute drive from Forres will take you to Califer Hill Viewpoint, providing stunning views across the Moray Firth, Findhorn and beyond.
