    Items dirty and damaged double bed was unsafe loo seats loose no smoke alarm in lounge coffee table damaged, I've been told the owners are selling this van that's probably why they are not maintaining it

    Firstly, we would like to clarify that the caravan is not for sale and that we continue to maintain and invest in it for the benefit of our guests. We are sorry that you were disappointed with aspects of your stay. When concerns were raised, we arranged for someone on site to attend the caravan specifically so that any issues could be addressed. The issue with the double bed was discussed, although by the time they attended you advised that you had already tightened the bed bolts yourself. We have now made arrangements for the bed to be replaced. We apologise that the toilet seats were loose and appreciate that they should have been secure. Unfortunately, this was not raised when someone attended the caravan specifically to address the concerns. Had it been mentioned, the seats could have been checked and tightened there and then. We would also like to clarify that there is a smoke alarm in the caravan, so the statement that there is no smoke alarm is incorrect. Regarding the coffee table, the lower shelf had recently been damaged by a previous guest and was removed for safety. The table itself remains safe and perfectly usable. As we have been fully booked throughout the busy season, it is not always possible to replace furniture immediately between stays, particularly when the item remains safe and functional. We will always address problems when they are brought to our attention, which is why we arranged for someone to attend during this stay. Unfortunately, a number of the issues mentioned in this review were not raised when we had someone there specifically to address the concerns. Had they been, they could have been checked and, where necessary, resolved at the time. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Oakley Retreat."

    The kitchen was very well equipped with everything required, apart from some wooden spoons which would have been handy. A lovely welcome pack including, tea, sugar, coffee, biscuits and dog treats. In addition, the shower room had emergency hygiene supplies, should anyone need them. Oakley Retreat was clean overall. One of the reasons we chose to stay here was because bedding and towels were supplied, so much easier than having to take our own. The towels were super soft. The double bed wasn't great, very creaky but for the length of stay was ok. There were lots of board games and books available had we wanted them. Good size TV and wifi available at no additional cost. The site is well maintained and during our stay where we were, it was very quiet only a couple of occupants near us. Our little dog absolutely loved all the different walks and settled in to his temporary home very well, he really liked the fact he could wonder out onto the secure gated decking whenever he wanted. We really enjoyed our much needed quiet break and have booked to return to Oakley Retreat in May next year. Thank you

  • "We arrived at Oakley Retreat and found that the Caravan was more like a Hotel."

    The facilities were first class, you could not ask for more. (They thought of everything and more). The owners were only a phone call away if needed, which was very reassuring indeed. The local information of where to go, what to see and when, was very helpful. We planned a trip to Cromer to see their annual Fireworks Display from Cromer Pier on 1st January, it was brilliant! We were also impressed with where the Caravan was located. Needless to say Millie our Staffy loved her stay, especially the dog treats and local walks in the countryside.   • "Oakley retreat is a lovely property, comfy and clean."

    Lovely little touches such as tea and coffee, cleaning supplies and even spare toothbrushes. The decking is lovely , if the weather had been kinder we definitely would have used it . The downside for me is the location, it is quite remote , a 19 minute drive to the nearest shop (there is no shop on site) . The restaurant Barn1 is nice, the food was fine nothing special , but the lady in there was very helpful with local information.

  • "Apart from the kitchen light bulb which seems to be blown, everything was just how we like it."

    It was nice to find tea and coffee and even some biscuits provided and we found a lot of things(washing up liquid etc) were there so we had no need to shop! All in all, a really nice park home (and park) and we will be back next year! This was our third stay at Foxburrow Hang.

  • "Oakley retreat was lovely, we had a really nice stay."

    The van was very clean and had everything you needed in it, and the welcome pack was a very nice touch. The wifi was really good and the smart tv an added bouns. Only downside for us was no shop on site and the restaurant shut very early. But other than that a nice and relaxing stay, would deffinatly stay again.

  • "Had a fantastic time, everything was perfect."

    We were also so lucky with the weather we were able to take advantage of the outdoor space.Superb facilities and the welcome tray was a real delight. The hosts are on hand for any advice or help and they are a really lovely couple.We have already booked our return, and can’t wait to return !

  • "We've rented a number of caravans at Caldecott over the last few years and Oakley Retreat is one of the three best we've stayed in."

    Spotlessly clean, amazingly spacious well appointed living area and main bedroom with calm coordinated decor in neutral tones and a very well equipped kitchen with lots of cupboard space for groceries etc. Lovely friendly message from the owners before our arrival to confirm check-in details etc. All in all, highly recommended and we hope to visit again soon.

Belton is a small, yet pretty village resting in the English county of Norfolk. Its peaceful location and a superb selection of amenities makes it a great base for holidaymakers, seeking to explore the coastal area.
