  • "Loved this property it’s been finished beautifully, has a lovely large kitchen and has a lovely garden."

    Also the village is nice, lots of walks. Only downside were the towels, please replace and get some bigger ones! And mirrors put some mirrors in the rooms. We did end up buying bath sheets and a mirror

  • "Had a great stay at Hillside in the quiet village of Beeston, the week flew by too fast but packed in lots of days out, so it was a great place as a base for visiting lots of areas around Norfolk."

    Nice welcome pack on arrival, really appreciated after the longish journey. Comfortable stay, nice kitchen and bathrooms too. Would recommend.

  • "The property was lovely and clean and well equipped."

    There was a very good welcome basket when we arrived which was much appreciated. The owner was very helpful with description for the key safe. For us the comfort rating has been marked down only because all beds are doubles and we are used to larger beds at home. This was a shame as there was room for king-size beds in 2 rooms. Please also be aware if travelling with a larger group that the air source heat pump will only cope with 3 to 4 showers on the trot and then needs about 45mins to reheat the water - this is noted in the manual the owners left. Overall though a beautiful property.

    It was in a good location for our visit to Norfolk attractions. The parking was off road and very good. The house was very clean and was beautifully renovated. A welcome pack was provided and was very appreciated by us.

  • "Wonderful clean cottage and pleasant owners."

    The welcome basket was really welcome after our frustrating journey from Oxfordshire.As cyclists we were more aprreciative of the location and he quiet local Norfolk lanes. Walking around the area and visiting old WW2 was quite a pleasing eye opener.

  • "Wow what a lovely cottage, we have had a fabulously stay here."

    It was extremely clean, the welcome hamper went down very well. Cromer was about 45minute drive and we also had very special trip to see the seals at Blakeney point, we parked at Cley beach which was about 30minute drive and walked up to see them (taking about 2hours round trip.) The cottage felt very homely just what we needed. Highly recommend this place. Thank you so much we will be back again.

    So clean and spacious. Everything was quality. There was a ‘Welcome Basket’ of provisions waiting for us also, very much appreciated. The location is excellent too for National Trust venues and Holkham Hall plus the obligatory visit to Wells-next-the-Sea. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it.

    If you have mobility issues, steps in garden are quite steep and no hand rail. Welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Pub in village well worth a visit. Lovely base for a variety of days out, coast, countryside national trust, small towns, large cities. Something for everyone

Offering a fuse of character features and contemporary fittings, Hillside Cottage provides excellent accommodation for families and friends looking to access the delights of Norfolk.

Upon arrival, discover the off-road parking spaces before making yourself at home in the open-plan living space, filled with light from the bifold doors that lead out into the garden.

The kitchen comes well-equipped, sure to entice those budding chefs, so you can prepare a delicious feast when you’re not dining at a local pub or restaurant.

After a sumptuous feast, curl up on the sofa and catch up on your favourite shows on the Smart TV, all whilst the woodburning stove offers a gentle warmth.

The first of the bedroom’s rests on the ground-floor, offering a double bed, serviced by a gleaming bathroom with bath and walk-in shower.

The thriving village of Necton is situated at the heart of Norfolk, between the market towns of Swaffham and Dereham, and hosts a welcoming pub with restaurant, a village store with butcher’s and a post office, whilst an impressive Norman church dominates the village and boasts a beautiful carved oak communion table dating back to 1086 and a wonderful Jacobean pulpit. Visit Bradenham Hall, a fine Georgian house with over 27 acres of beautiful gardens and arboretum, reputed to have been visited by Lord Nelson, or enjoy the infamous Peddars Way and the Norfolk Coastal Path, offering 93 tranquil miles of picturesque Norfolk countryside close by, great for walking, cycling and horse riding.
