  • "A superb stay at a delightful cottage, that was ideally situated for the activities we planned."

    There were a few minor hiccups that the owner dealt with efficiently. We would recommend this cottage to any couple visiting Norfolk and we will definitely return.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Beeble cottage and hope to be back soon."

    We highly recommend it as it is close to the North Norfolk Coast in a lovely village. The property is well suited for two people and one small to medium sized dog. It is very well equipped. It does not have a washing machine yet, but the owners are thinking about it. The cottage is small, but cosy and our dog enjoyed snuggling up on the sofa; which the owners had explicitely allowed without asking as long as it was covered with a blanket - we always travel with a thick, waterproof blanket for him. The garden does not have a lawn, but it is well fenced and sheltered, so we had one day our breakfast outside. The small glass table in the living room otherwise works very well for eating and we enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. Kerry, the owner, has been amazing - from sending us a guide to the cottage via WhatsApp to arrange featherfree bedding at short notice due to an allergy. The heating works well and the electric fireplace adds to the cosiness of the cottage! The staircase is steep, but we both managed it due to a well placed banister. Thank you for making our stay so special and for the welcome treats that we found in the cottage when we arrived rather late. We highly recommend this cottage. Best wishes, John, Barbara and Bodie

The historic market town of Fakenham is famous for its horse racing and offers a wide selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Situated on the River Wensum, half way between Norwich and Kings Lynn it is an excellent, central location for exploring Norfolk. The town holds a popular Thursday market which takes over most of the town centre with local traders and those from further afield selling a wide selection of goods. The town also plays host to a Farmers’ Market, monthly on the fourth Saturday of every month, ideal for stocking up on fresh local produce. Fakenham is a very attractive market town with pretty brick and flint-faced buildings, narrow alleyways and side streets to explore. Often referred to as the Gateway to Norfolk this town really does offer a perfect base for exploring this beautiful county. You are only a twenty minute drive from the coastal towns of Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham and Burham Overy where you will find miles of pine forests, sandy beaches, salt marshes, tidal creeks and great opportunities for birdwatching. There are some lovely areas of unspoilt countryside and villages and the Holkham Estate has a number of attractions and a fabulous deer park.
