  • "Everything was of good quality , modern and comfortable."

We enjoyed our holiday and everything we needed was to hand. The only draw back was such a late check in 6pm , it was getting dark and for us as we are older we were concerned about finding the house and key. All went smoothly but we would have preferred a slightly earlier check in. ,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review - we are pleased that you found everything good quality, modern and comfortable and that you had everything you needed to enjoy your stay. We appreciate that the later check-in time is not ideal and would prefer to be able to offer an earlier check-in time especially with the darker winter nights fast approaching. This time was agreed with our management company following Covid, as the safety of our guests has always been our main priority. This was a planned measure for the changeover day, as a way of allowing adequate time between prior guests, covid cleaning (which takes longer) and the next guests. Being on a modern estate, I'm sure that you found the access was well lit on arrival - but appreciate this may have been a concern prior to arriving at the property. We will continue to keep this under review with our management company and hope to be able to welcome you again. Property Owner

  • "A lovely holiday home."

We had a really relaxing stay. The house is attractivley set up with comfortable and good quality furniture and equipment. Ideally positioned for good access into Hunstanton and surrounding areas. A lovely, quiet estate. The welcome gift voucher was much appreciated and we enjoyed spending it! Thank you.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our home and for taking the time to write your review. We are glad that you liked the fixtures and fittings and found them comfortable! As you say the house is on a lovely quiet estate and is ideally placed for exploring the Norfolk Coast by car, or for some good local walks. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the voucher - we think it is especially important to support the local community - especially with what has been a particularly difficult time for most over the last couple of years. We would love for you to visit again sometime in the future. Property Owner

  • "Lovely property, really well equipped."

Quiet location only 15 minutes slow walk to the town centre. Weather was kind to us with only one wet day. Plenty to see locally although a bit limited for somewhere to eat in the evening in Hunstanton. As the house was so well equipped, we ate in most evenings. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your review and your positive comments. We are really pleased that the weather was kind to you so that you could appreciate some of the walks into town and it also sounds like you were able to visit some of the local attractions. As you have pointed out, being a coastal town, there are the usual seaside eateries. There are a couple of hotels that offer evening meals, and a short drive away are some fantastic nearby restaurants. I wish that we had also thought to mention that some of the local eateries offer 'take away' options - but we are pleased that you found the house well equipped and enjoyed some home cooked meals. We are delighted that you highly recommend us and hope that we can look forward to welcoming you again. Property Owner

  • "What a fabulous place to stay!"

The owners should be proud of what they’ve achieved here - comfortable and stylish furniture, top notch fixtures and fittings, beautifully decorated with tasteful ornaments and art, the kitchen equipped with everything you would need to have a stress free holiday. The house is in a quiet area, a 10 minute stroll into town and the seafront. We are two couples who had traveled separately in two cars. We parked one in the allotted parking space and the other on Downs Rd, opposite the High School, by the bollards from where you walk straight down Styleman Rd to the house (2 minutes).

Thank you so much for your positive review - we think you have summed up our holiday home perfectly in your comments. We are delighted that you found it to be comfortable and stylish, and that you had everything you needed to ensure you had a stress-free holiday. When setting up the house, we knew what we wanted to achieve. We have always struggled to find quality 2 bed accommodation that was suitable for either travelling with an older child/teen or for travelling with another couple. As you know the house has both a king size and double bed, with separate bathroom and en-suite, which we think is perfect for small parties such as yourselves. As you pointed out the parking is easy, as is the location for getting out and about, either on foot or by car and we would love for you to visit us again sometime. Property Owner

  • "We always try to go to out of the way quiet places but as the main aim of the holiday was seeing our daughter (not seen her for over a year) we went for this house in an estate because she could easily get to it."

We have been to noisier places in the middle of the country. I don't know where the other people were on the estate but we were in perfect peace. The children's play park at the front of number 5 was empty all week. There were country walks to the left as you left the property and sea and sand half a mile to the right.

Many thanks for your feedback. We are so pleased that you got to spend quality time with your daughter after such a long time of not being able to see her. We use this property as a bolt home for visiting our family, who are local to the area, so appreciate the convenience of the location. It has also been really important for us to catch up with our family after such a long time apart - so fully understand that this was a treasured time for you all and we are thrilled that 'things exceeded your expectations' and we really value your 100% rating. We also find the location to be very quiet and peaceful and we are happy that you got to explore the country walks and like you say the beach is only a short stroll away - with some great places to eat - so we feel its location is a real plus and like you, we have never seen any children in the play park. Thank you for taking the time to write your review, it really is very helpful, and we hope you would consider re-visiting with your daughter and look forward to welcoming you back again. • "It was a comfortable house in a conveniently situated location on a quiet estate."

We had a very enjoyable week. The only negative things we could mention were the large number of birds including seagulls, woodpigeons and garden birds that frequented the garden and fields behind the house. This gave rise to a lot of noise in the early mornings and a lot of mess from them. The recycling instructions were a little confusing which meant we inadvertently missed the collection. Also, there were no red bags in the property to use on the last day after we had stripped the beds.

Firstly, can we take this opportunity to thank you for the lovely card that you left for us at the house with your very kind words following your stay. Having seen your online review, we are saddened to see that you have a raised a couple of negatives for the house and we hope the following helps to address your points. We can honestly say that we have not had any of the issues raised before and we hope they did not detract from your holiday stay. As you know the house (at the front) overlooks a green - which offers lovely views, but as you pointed out, this attracts a mix of nature - including a variety of birds and a couple of seagulls, which we feel is part of being in a coastal location. Having stayed here the week following you, we appreciate the bird noise is possibly more noticeable at this time of year, perhaps due to nesting birds? We didn't find birds frequenting the garden during our stay - and as you will appreciate there really isn't anything to attract them into the garden with regards to our planting scheme, but they do fly over. We obviously can't do anything to remove the birds - but we have asked Sykes to upload images showing the views from the front of the house to ensure people are aware of the outlook at our location. As for the issue with the bin collection - we are sorry you found our instructions to be a little confusing and since your stay we have updated the information to try to make the instructions a little clearer. Being a holiday let we are a commercial bin collection, which means that both bins get collected each week - which we know is different to domestic collections. It also means that if a week does accidentally get missed - it really isn't a problem. We are sorry to hear that there were no red bags at the property for your laundry - but thank you for pointing it out to us and we have passed this information on to our management team to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you for leaving a review - it really helps us to try to get things right and we are glad you found the house to be comfortable and that you had an enjoyable week and once again thank you for your kind words. • "Excellent accommodation."

Good location, even 60 plus year olds can easily walk to the shops and beach. Everything you could possibly need was provided, and all instructions very clear and easy to understand. Spotlessly clean. Voucher for local shop was a lovely touch. We often visit this area an this would always be our first choice accommodation.

Thank you for your very kind comments - it is great to see such a positive review. Like you, we love Norfolk, and as you say the property is only a short walk to the shops and beach and as you know there are some great walks along the coast... especially with the good weather we have been having! We are pleased that you had everything that you needed to make your stay more comfortable, and we are glad that you found the instructions helpful - we know what it's like to stay somewhere new and trying to work out how to use the appliances etc - so thought simple quick start guides would help. We are also pleased that you liked the voucher - I think we can all agree that this year has been difficult for everyone - so it has been really important for us to support the local community and thought the voucher would be a nice way to do that. We are happy that the house was spotlessly clean - we think it is so important that whoever visits our home feels confident that we have done everything that we can to make them feel safe - especially with covid - and we must thank our management team for the amazing job they do to support us in this effort. We are thrilled that we are your first choice for your next visit, and we look forward to welcoming you back again. Property Owner

We are so please that you liked our home and décor and that you found the house to be well equipped. With our often-busy lives - we also love the quiet location, and we find it a real bonus that you can walk into town, and within a short walk be on the seafront - in fact when we visit, we often don't get in the car for the whole time that we're there! • "The house was spotlessly clean and felt luxurious."

The owners left a voucher for a local cafe/shop which was a lovely idea.

Thank you so much for your positive comments and for taking the time to write feedback on your stay. Not only is it important for us, as holiday owners, to see how we are getting things right - but it also helps potential guests to get an idea of the property 'beyond the photos.' We are so pleased that you like the luxury feel - design is really important to us, so we have worked hard at getting a coordinated style to the whole house. So glad you like the voucher - with the current guidelines on coronavirus and also the worry of food allergies - we thought what could we get as a special gift? And decided that a voucher for the local deli and cafe works two-fold, as it fits really well with our ethos of supporting the local community where our holiday home is, and also allows guests to choose a special little treat for themselves. If you are planning another holiday to Hunstanton in the future - we would love to welcome you back to our home. Property Owner

  • "Newly listed property so everything in pristine condition."

Good quality appliances with top quality fittings and fixtures with a lot of thought in providing every item you need for a stress free holiday. Spotlessly clean on arrival. Beautiful tranquil back garden. On a small quiet and modern housing development with convenient location being a 10 minute maximum walk to sea or town. The owners need to be congratulated - Would definitely recommend

Firstly, a BIG thank you for taking the time to provide online feedback! From an owner's perspective it is really important to have an independent guest review of the property. We are so pleased to hear your positive comments and you have definitely picked up on some valid points. We have rented holiday homes in the past, so have tried to think of things that we/our guests would want during a holiday stay and are so pleased that you noticed the effort that went into choosing the fittings, fixtures and appliances, we love it and it sounds like you do too. We really wanted our property to have that 'wow' factor when everyone walks in for the first time, so intend to keep that 'pristine condition' that you talk about and with busy lives, the 'stress free' and 'tranquil' holiday that you mention was what we were aiming for. With regards to your 'spotlessly clean' comment, a big thank you has to go to 'Coastal and Country Cottage Care Ltd' - they have provided us with a fantastic covid cleaning and management package - not living locally we couldn't do it without them. We are delighted that you would recommend our property and really hope you visit again. Once again many thanks. Property Owner
