Very nice,as the name suggests it is a hide away ,quiet but within easy reach of other places Welcome pack ,ie milk,tea bags or coffee would have been nice as other Sykes property have done,but Tesco only at top of road

Perfect location to seafront.

Accessible property with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It's the 3rd time we've used these holiday homes and would stay again.

Our stay was enjoyable.

Property clean, well equipped and airy. It suited our needs for a couple of nights. Although we thought it was expensive. The TV audio description was set to on. That was a problem with the TV and we couldn't get it off. Free parking was perfect. Owner communication was great

mention of how small the bedrooms were. Also no where to put anything, no drawers , shelves in bedrooms or bathroom. Hanging rail in lounge next to the kitchen. Also no welcoming features - maybe some milk and soap for example.

We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable - it would, however, had been nice to have a lock on the bathroom door.

Bedrooms small and no room for storage in one of them.

However the bed was extremely comfortable and the duvet warm and cosy. Plenty of space everywhere else. Location good and very close to amenities. Our stay was out of school holidays and Hunstanton was peaceful and the roads quiet which we really appreciated as we are used to London traffic ! Would certainly stay again.

We did not expect to be next to a large building site but it did not affect us in any way.

It was a pleasant property to stay in.

Close to the sea and amenities. Very quiet.

Bathroom excellent but a proper holder for toilet roll would be an improvement. Car park at rear of property was noisy at times. We enjoyed our stay and was pleased with our choice.

The proprietor was extremely helpful as we wanted to bring our bikes,we was given a secure place to store them.

The property is located in a very central position near to the supermarket,shops pubs etc! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely place, except we didn’t like that there was nowhere to dry the towels after using them, although the picture of the cottage showed there was an outside ‘whirly rotator’.

One very minor criticism is toilet roll holder meant the paper was dragging on the tiled floor and if wet from tiled floor it would have been unusable!

The beds were comfortable and there was an excellent shower in bathroom.

The kitchen was well equipped but the place had an odd layout. There was no chest of drawers or wardrobe in the double room. A chest of drawers was situated in the living area and also a hanging rail provided which was at the opposite side of the main room. A bit noisy at times from the adjacent mobile home site and it's gravel car park. Would recommend curtains at the windows as well as blinds to give more privacy. The wi-fi was intermittent and very little phone signal in that part of Hunstanton

This holiday was our second visit so I guess that says it all lovely property.

Absolutely a lovely holiday let hidden away but accessible to beach, shops and transport.

Very clean and welcoming and we had a lovely stay. Will return when we can as was ideal place for us. Thank you.

Excellent accommodation, a very relaxing stay.

The accommodation is clean, comfortable and convenient for everything. Location is excellent, one minute walk to the beach and also to the shops.

Hideaway was an ideal for our needs.

We could not find fault. An Ideal location in Hunstanton only a half mile walk to most places also an ideal position to jump in the car and visit places of interest in North Norfolk.

Another wonderful stay at 5D Hideaway.

Perfect location- near all amenities, entertainment, places to eat, tasty chip shop, lovely family friendly pub just round the corner, Tesco, minutes walk, Aldi short drive. No need to use the car for a great holiday. Nice personal touch with children outdoor toys in the utility building, and some adult games as well. Mr and Mrs Richardson very hospitable. Will be returning again and again. Thank you

Had a lovely break and the accommodation was outstanding.

A great few days away, the accommodation was excellent, just on the downside the tiled floor was very slippy and the mats slid about when you walked on them.

WI-FI signal not very good.

What a lovely stay we had over New Year.

The property is clean, well equipped and comfortable. The position is perfect, close to everything you need; the beach, town, pub and supermarket. The beds are really comfortable and the bedding clean and fresh and the bathroom is large with a really good shower. We could find nothing to fault with the property and the owner is really friendly and helpful.

Stay at one the the hideaway cottages every year and always enjoy !

Given we use Sykes for all of our holiday’s there was no guest book to sign, no welcome basket.

The Internet was unavailable in the bedroom. The front door wasn’t very secure. That aside we had a lovely holiday.

clean accommodation in a good location,5 min beach,5 min supermarket,15 min town centre,downside noise from car park at rear of property from 6 am every morning.

A good location bright airy living space.

Large bathroom good walk in shower which suited our needs with an 86 year old relative who has limited mobility. Good kitchen facilities. However the bedrooms were small and the double lacked storage for clothes. Compared with other let’s we have visited communication with the owner was business like and minimal. There was no information in the premises.

Nice and spacious for the kids to run around. Excellent location within walking distance from lots of amenities. Would definitely recommend.

5d is well placed for the beach, amusements, town, supermarket and coastal walks.

The accommodation was super with everything we needed for a week. Beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. We hope to return.

It was very clean,well maintained and in a very good location for the supermarket, public house and beach.

Stayed for a week on my own as I was photographing the Norfolk coast from Snettisham to Cromer.

Hideaways would be fine for 4 people and luxury for one! The place was spotless when I arrived, was easy to clean on departure and cosy and comfortable. I slept in the double which suited me perfectly, in fact I slept better than at home. Parking was very close to the home making unloading easy and being off road it was very quiet. Two very slight niggles which didn't detract from the 5-star review. Occasionally the internet was slow and I couldn't find the router to reboot it to see if that helped. But it was manageable. And none of the knives were very sharp with no means of sharpening them. I always think blunt knives are more dangerous than sharp ones and are a bit obsessive about this at home, so probably my problem. Overall, it was a really good place to stay and would unhesitatingly return..

A fantastic property, great location, everything within walking distance which includes the lovely town of Hunstanton, fab fish and chip shop, Tesco, a pub, fun fair, sea life centre, there is also a boat called the Wash Monster which do tours to see the seals.

However it’s worth bearing in mind you need to book and the last tour due to the tide is around the 25th October. Just up from there is a fab cafe called the Hunstanton Ski cafe and bar and they do an amazing full English breakfast. Everything is within a 20 minute walk at the most. 5d Hideaway is a modern property, spacious, with everything you could need and the beds are very comfortable. This was our second stay in 5d, as we have 2 young children it’s just perfect for us. We will book to go back again next year.

A lovely cosy cottage right by the beach and close to amenities.

Previous reviews outlined areas for improvement, which we found to have been corrected. Just don't forget to bring your own towels.

The cottage itself was ok but we did feel that there were a few issues.

Firstly, there are absolutely no instructions at the place, including WiFi access. You are left to work out everything for yourself. Even a nice welcome note would be pleasant. There are no details of local attractions/places to visit etc which would have been nice.. just a simple folder with some useful local info. The shower does not evacuate properly and you end up standing in 2 inches of dirty water when showering. There are hardly any basic essentials there to make life easier on arrival- no foil or clingfilm to start you off or even a pint of milk for that first cup of tea which would cost nothing really but make you feel more welcome. All there was were 3 dishwasher tablets, a sponge and some washing up liquid which seems quite stingy given the cost of the place.

Very close to the beach a tesco the honeystone pub and chip shop it was very clean beds comfortable shower had a tendancy to go cold now and then with a fridge and dishwasher the washing machine,tumbledryer,2 irons and 2 ironing boards are housed in the separate building where there was also books and a collection of buckets and spades the wifi code was not on board asked a neighbour it is the same for all of them and no towels apart from this its a lovely place to stay and quiet but this could have just been to having good neighbours

Had a fantastic week in sunny hunny, accommodation was everything we could have asked forand more, great location and beds super comfy.

We had Lovely week the weather was good and the accommodation met our needs as my Mum is 92 and her mobility is deteriorating it was perfect in every way and having a utility room was a big bonus as I was able to keep on top of the laundry so I didn't have to take all the dirty clothes home with us and having a dishwasher meant no washing up :) I would definitely recommend Hideways as a excellent base to explore the area.

Great location and stunning properties internally and externally. Would certainly return again and again.

Everything was fine but we felt the window blinds lacked privacy.

If you put them up for daylight then anyone can see straight in. Obviously other occupants felt the same as every one left their blinds closed also

Lovely little gem about 3 minutes walk to beach.

Very clean! Not in the most glamorous of areas but great base for exploring the north norfolk coast by car.

As with a number of feedbacks this property fails to meet expectations.

No hairdryer and only one towel for seven days which is totally unacceptable. The owners were on the side constantly each day as if spying on what we were doing, very unnerving. There was no welcome pack not even a pint of milk. No bleach for the toilet No toilet paper past one day Broken light bulbs Failed remote control batteries Cold un fitting doors

Hunstanton is a lovely place and this cottage was very close to all amenities and excellent for walking out of the door.

Hosts were very helpful. Mostly well equipped but could have done with a hairdryer and sieve. These are minor points as overall the facilities were excellent.

Very comfortable unit. FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE ONLY, NOT FOR PUBLICATION/ Only helpful suggestion would be for more lighting by sofas for reading as the nights are dark now. The blinds in the double bedroom were the only thing not successful. Artificial lighting on next plot were on all night and the blinds were not up to keeping this at an acceptable level for sleeping. Had to use a towel over eyes.

Our 4th time staying at 5d Hideaways didn’t disappoint.

This comfortable, clean, spacious accommodation and all Hunstanton and North Norfolk have to offer, keeps us coming back. The house is well equipped and everything we needed was available. The only one thing that has been an issue for us is the lack of curtains in the bedrooms. It can be very bright, very early. Being so close to all the amenities in Hunstanton but far enough away from the fair etc is a plus. Highly recommend and I’m sure we’ll be back.

We had a very comfortable stay at Hideaways well furnished and positioned very conveniently for the beach and the town both in comfortable walking distance.

The accommodation is stunning ,spacious and very comfortable with everything you need . We will be back very soon .

I took my 90 year old Mum on holiday and 5D Hideaways was perfect for all our needs a real home from home and close to all the arcades and the Town but yet set away from everything so was really peaceful.

We also met the owners who were so friendly and helpful we were so happy with our week away even though the weather was awful we have already booked to go back next year.

First place we have stayed at that didn’t have a welcome basket.

Excellent layout and facilities for guests with limited mobility.

Good quality comfy beds with bedding and towels.

Once we had arrived at our destination, we were delighted with the situation.

Quiet and private; (but, doubtful that this would be the case in high season with windows and doors open). Good simple, but classy deco. Seating and beds very comfortable. Very good idea to have the 'clutter' of paperbacks, toys and household paraphernalia etc housed elsewhere.

Excellent cottage very well presented,clean tidy,close to supermarket,seafront,town all within short walking distance,ample private car parking,situated behind two bungalows,so quiet and private.

There is as well a communal out building with washing machine,plenty of dvd,s and toys for the kids. Would highly recommend ,will definitely visit again.

We’ve stayed at hideaways twice now four years apart; once with a toddler and once with a 5 and 3 year old.

On both visits the accommodation has been exactly as described; clean and well maintained with everything we needed. The location is fantastic, with lots of things to do within walking distance. This time we visited Roarr; the dinosaurs were amazing and we highly recommend a visit. Our children loved the fair and a visit to the beautiful old Hunstanton beach. A great location for young children and fantastic accommodation from which to explore it. Thank you for a great stay.

Situated a short walk to the beach, supermarket and a good simple restaurant.

Parking was safe and secure. Cottage was clean and mostly had what is needed. My grandchildren visited and the cottage even had toys they could play with! WIFI was a bit patchy but was fine when it worked. Overall I was delighted with this property.

We have just had a week`s winter break with friends at Hideaway, and would highly recommend this property.

We had the coldest week of the winter so far, but found the cottage so warm and cosy. The furnishings were of a high quality with nice finishing touches of tasteful pictures and ornaments. The location was ideal being just a few minutes walk to the promenade into town. A Tesco supermarket just a few minutes away also. The only problem we encountered was the fact that there is no hanging space in the double bedroom. Luckily, we anticipated this due to previous reviews and took a small clothes rail with us. Not a great problem but could be if not aware of the fact. All in all, a great place to stay.

The property was Great, nice and clean - and pretty well all the facilities we needed.

Location was great, easy walking distance to Beach, Local supermarket and town, we spent a couple of days where we left the car at the property and just walked everywhere. Would definitely go on out list to consider a return visit.
