  • "A lovely cottage, really close to the town centre & nearby car park for parking."

Really handy with Sainsburys across the road. Delightful courtyard, which we made good use of. Cottage well equipped. A lovely base for our long weekend!

  • "We had a great break overall and were happy with our stay."

The cottage is in a fantastic central location, with easy access to local amenities, making it a great base for exploring the area. On first impression, the accommodation was okay, but it would really benefit from a deep clean and some refurbishment. There were a few maintenance issues that should be addressed, including two upstairs doors that don’t close properly, a downstairs toilet tap that continuously drips, and a broken toilet seat in the main bathroom. The shower was difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature, and the main bed could do with a new mattress and pillows to improve comfort. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay. With a few small repairs, a thorough clean, and some updating, this could be a fantastic place to stay. We would certainly consider returning if these improvements were made.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We really appreciate your comments and are pleased to hear that, despite the issues, you still enjoyed your stay and liked the location. We completely understand the points you've raised, and we're pleased to say that they will all be addressed. We only purchased the property on the 10th and wanted to honour all of the existing bookings before starting any major work. We already have plans for a brand-new bathroom to be installed this autumn, along with a programme of refurbishment, repairs, deep cleaning, and general improvements throughout the cottage. Our aim is to bring Hideaway Cottage up to an exceptional standard while maintaining its charm. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope you'll consider staying with us again in the future so you can experience all the improvements we're making. Kind regards The Cooper family Property Owner
