• "The cleanest holiday home we've stayed in ever."

  As a pet friendly location that is even more impressive. The location was great, for local access and as a base. Nice to have access to adjust the heating system in January, too many places restrict this to save a few pennies; it made a huge difference. Well equipped and plenty of space. Nicely decorated. Free on-street parking outside was fine in January but I suspect less so in the summer as there was often only a couple of spaces left nearby. Plenty of charged parking within a short walk though. Thin walls into the neighbours meant a bit of baby noise but never at antisocial times. The rear garden is safely enclosed for a dog, well lit for the bedtime dog visit, and surfaced for an easy 'pick-up'. Lovely hot showers, but the cubicle in the shower room is not designed for a 6 footer like me. The ensuite is spot on though. Strangely, the ensuite is not in what I would say is the master bedroom ( i.e. the one with the huge TV) .One suggestion, the sofas are about ready for an update; they just about suffice but let down an otherwise lovely house. Definitely recommend this one.

  Great location. Kitchen contained all utensils needed. Stairs was as described and very steep, a stair gate would be helpful for families with young children. Thank you for a restful stay.

• "The property had everything you would need for a comfortable stay."

  Everything was considered. The street it was situated in was a bit rough around the edges but Walpole House was like an oasis. It was near a shop and pub and a chippy which were handy. When we arrived the cooker hop wouldn't work but Barbara came out of her way to fix it for us. PS the stairs up to the bedrooms were very steep!

  Everything was very clean and the house had everything we needed. 15 minute walk to the high street and the road is so quiet. Managed to park outside the house with no issues, but there are two free car parks less than a 5 minute walk away. Will 100% be staying here again when we next visit.

• "The owner was only a phone call away and was very helpful if we needed her assistance."

  The property was very clean and nicely laid out and was nicely decorated for Christmas which almost made you feel at home. It is located about 15 minutes walk from Brittanea pier from where you can go in any direction as you see fit. Just around the corner is a convenience store opposite a friendly pub and there is a fish and chip shop at the end of the street. Would definitely recommend this property.

• "Barbara was exceptionally attentive, checking we were okay several times."

  The hob had been accidentally locked by a previous occupant and her son came out to sort it out without any delay. Lovely property. The stairs are definitely steep but we were warned about that. Would recommend.
