A great location from which to visit lots of places nearby. We really enjoyed our walks to the beach from the property. Enjoyed sitting outside on the decking. We were able to enter the property earlier than stated which was lovely after we received a call from Adele. We definitely recommend this property. Would love to return. Best Wishes Adele and Joe Property Owner Reviewed by BevSep 2023 "When looking to book this property, the only thing we were unsure about was that there were no reviews to see what others thought about this home." We needn't have worried. This was a real home from home. Very well appointed and with everything we needed and more. It looked newly refurbished and well maintained and was really clean throughout. There were many personal touches, including books, games, information on the area and a welcome basket. Infact, Adele the owner contacted us to let us know we could enter the property much earlier than our scheduled time. In summary we have paid much more for a lot less when booking holiday homes in the past. We also found North Norfolk to be both beautiful and relaxing and this home was ideally placed to explore it. Paul, Lesley, Alex and our four legged girl Amber Thank you all so much for your lovely comments. We are really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Norfolk and felt comfortable staying in Tawny’s Roost. View on map About the location SNETTISHAM Heacham 3 miles; Royal Sandringham 4 miles; Hunstanton 5 miles. Snettisham is a traditional Norfolk village, with many of its houses built from the local iron-rich carr stone, which has an attractive golden-brown colouring. Due to this, the buildings are known locally as “gingerbread houses”. Village amenities include a Co-op store, 2 inns, a bistro and a cafe, a regular bus service to the bustling, family-friendly seaside resort of Hunstanton and historic King’s Lynn. The church of St Mary sits alone on top of the hill and is certainly worthy of a look inside at the exquisitely decorated tracery flowers on the west window. There is an RSPB bird sanctuary close to the beach, which is three miles away, and the ancient Peddars Way public footpath runs near to the village. Park Farm is on the edge of the village, and is a working farm with year-round activities for all the family, including a 45-minute “deer safari” and the chance to feed some of the animals. The Royal Estate of Sandringham, whose impressive house, gardens and church are open to the public, is nearby, as are the plant farm, tea rooms and gift shop at Norfolk Lavender, England's premier lavender farm.
