    The directions were confusing, we had to park up and walk around to find it. Apart from that it was very comfortable.

    Inside we were comfortable and had all we need. The propery is in a very good location with a sea view and good parking. We had a very good holiday.

  • "The key information was totally misleading the key safe was on the opposite wall and to the left."

    Also there was a barrier to the car park and no information about how to negotiate it. The kitchen lacked basic amenities such as a colander a cheese grater.

    Stones throw from the sea so the view of the front to wake up to in the morning was wonderful. Parking arrangements were very convenient too.

  • "Lovely property."

    Near the sea and plenty of places to visit. I was just a little disappointed that when we arrived all of the towels:were wet. But not too much of a:problem as I had taken some. This:was our second time at this property and hope to visit again.

  • "While the location cannot be beaten and the General conditions were acceptable."

    This property was let down on three fronts. The entrance doors and windows appear never to have been cleaned. A contractor once a month would present the property in a more favourable light for arriving guests. The equipment in the kitchen was poor. Simple things like a cheese grater, a coffee cafetiere, lemon squeezer, and a number of things you would expect to find in a well equipped kitchen. The worst thing was the listing of internet but in practice it was rubbish. The owner is not responsive to phone calls about it after my first call I was just ignored. So needing the internet all week and having little or none was to say the least frustrating. Your listing should be honest and say internet/Wi-Fi not reliable. If you need internet on your stay DO NOT hire this accommodation.

  • "Found a stained pillow case,on the bed ."

    The bed was very uncomfortable and i did not have very good nights .the shower needed a good clean .it was perfectly positioned for beach and shops .we did have difficulty in getting the key ? it was not obvious,tried to contact twice was told they were unavailable.eventually after 45 mins help from some kind neighbours we got in .

  • "On the whole we enjoyed our stay."

    The flat is well located with a view of the sea. It is spacious, with an excellent standard of decoration and comfortable with the exception of the bed which is very hard rather than firm. My only real complaint is twice being ignored when trying to contact the owner via the mobile number given. The first issue luckily sorted itself out but the second, losing wifi and thus the smart tv, just had to be tolerated.

  • "Everything was as we expected it to be."

    We had already heard from friends just how good Sykes Cottages were. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to return at some point in the not too distant future. The property was clean and so comfortable. Home fron home. Also do near to the sea and shops. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you

  • "Rather cold flat even in July."

    Dark and a bit tired. But very handy for the beach and a view of the sea.

The property

Nestled in the traditional seaside town of Sheringham, a stone's throw from its lovely beach, is this wonderful ground-floor apartment, Ellan Vannin.

Perfect for a romantic getaway to the coast, the apartment is situated within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Beauty and has easy access to a plethora of couples’ activities.

When arriving at the apartment, you will be greeted by a sought-after off-road parking space for one car, before unwinding on the bench in the enclosed patio, taking in the coastal breeze and spectacular sea views.

Upon entering the apartment, make your way up some small steps and into the charming kitchen, fitted with all your essentials, including a very convenient washing machine!

After fixing up a delicious dinner, continue through to the bright and pleasant living/dining room and enjoy a relaxed meal for two at the dining table; when dinner's over, snuggle up together on the close-by sofa and enjoy a film on the TV.

When night falls, make your way to the homely double bedroom, served by plenty of storage for you to put your things away with ease; the shower room is located nearby, with a contemporary walk-in shower and lovely nautical touches.

Being in the centre of Sheringham means you not only have access to the blue flag beach, but you also have a wealth of amenities at your feet; a plethora of shops and eateries are less than a mile from the apartment!

The town is part of the Deep History Coast and well worth an exploration of what the town offers; if you're a couple looking for pleasant walking routes, the town boasts a scenic promenade and is part of the Deep History Discovery Trail, with its own Discovery Point.

Sheringham is served by some beautiful attractions that are superb for an idyllic day out, make sure to visit the National Trust's Sheringham Park, alongside Felbrigg Hall and its stunning gardens!

If you're wanting to do something memorable without travelling far, head over to Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary and admire the adorable rescue animals; another activity that you'll always remember is boarding the North Norfolk Railway steam engine that runs through the marvellous coastal scenery.

Travel 4.2 miles to the resort town of Cromer and have a day out at the pier, watch live entertainment at the pier's venue, before enjoying a cocktail at The Pavilion Bar as you take in the panoramic views of the sun setting on the North Sea.

For a day of exhilaration, take part in a range of watersports on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, including: paddle boarding, windsurfing and kayaking in the creeks, shingle and dunes!

Sheringham was originally a small fishing village on the North Norfolk coast, but with the arrival of the railways in 1887 it prospered and grew into a popular holiday town. Sheringham has been awarded ten consecutive European Blue Flags for cleanliness for its beach, along with awards from Britain in Bloom, Anglia in Bloom, and Best Coastal Resort. Enjoy walking along the East or West promenades, offering sea views with blue skies and red sunsets, a beach with a silver-pebbled shoreline leading to golden sands with rock pools and streams next to ochre cliffs, local fishing boats and a RLNI lifeboat station with museum.
