  • "Really lovely property on a farm."

Well equipped kitchen and we liked the owl theme. Powerful shower. Convenient location for driving to Cromer and other nearby coastal towns/villages. Julie was friendly and easy to get hold of. The only downside for us was soft mattresses but this is a personal preference.

I have invested in some decent memory foam mattress toppers so hopefully this will solve the problem Thank you for visiting Property Owner

It had everything we could need, very comfortable just like home from home. A nice big safe garden ideal for our dog. It’s very rural, peaceful and quiet in beautiful surrounding countryside. Lovely walks, The Vernon Arms pub in the village is great with good food. Julie the property manager was on hand next door and was very helpful. We would definitely visit again.

  • "Lovely home away from home."

Booked last minute and super helpful property manager (and next door neighbour) had everything ready for our arrival the next day. We were there in November so couldn’t use the sun room that much except on the one sunny morning we had but otherwise very cosy and comfy.

The surroundings are peaceful yet close enough to local attractions by car. Our host Julie was really lovely nothing was to much trouble she even brought her pet chicken and dog over so our children could cuddle them. We would recommend this cottage to anyone and we hope to stay again soon.

  • "We had a brilliant stay at Owl Cottage."

It is very secluded, peaceful, comfortable, beautifully decorated and clean. Chickens occasionally wandering around the farmyard give a lovely feel as well and there were swallows nesting in the barn. It’s lovely to have so much space on the farmyard and garden to play, and it’s nice to wander into the fields for a walk. The cottage itself is great, all newly refurbished and has two new bathrooms - the showers are fab! The owner is very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. We would love to stay again - thank you!

Thank you Rachel. It was lovely to meet you all. My naughty girls (chickens) probably loved all the attention too. I’m pleased you all had such a good time and it would be lovely to see you again Julie Property Owner

  • "Owl cottage was just what we all needed."

A beautifully refurbished cottage, set in a lovely quiet rural location, yet a small drive from Cromer, Trimingham and Bacton beach. We have two teenagers so having WiFi was ideal, so too was the great size garden to kick a ball about in. Julie was really helpful and informative and on hand if needed.

The property

Approached by main and then country roads, this gorgeous old Victorian semi-detached cottage, Owl Cottage, sits in a quiet corner on the edge of the village of Southrepps in Norfolk and overlooking the surrounding fields.

Perfect for a family or friends sharing, this recently completely renovated cottage is within easy reach of the village centre and the beach, while enjoying the peace and privacy of a countryside location on a working farm.

Enter through the conservatory, which houses furniture suitable in any weather; enjoy a cup of tea in the light and airy space or take the furniture outdoors to soak up some sun.

From here, the kitchen is well-fitted with sage cupboards, an electric oven, and a hob so you can cook up a storm, while the dining room is also a great space to linger in, with an electric fire to keep you warm while you tuck into your feast.

Completing the ground floor is the sitting room, styled with stag wallpaper and contemporary furnishings, and a handy shower room so there’s plenty of space to freshen up in.

Upstairs, the first bedroom is a well-presented double room, and the second bedroom is a pleasant triple room containing three single beds, perfect for the children to share; rest your heads after a busy day of exploring, before waking up and getting ready for another adventurous day in the family bathroom.

Outside, the enclosed garden makes this property ideal for pet owners, with a wall and dining area so your four-legged friends can stretch their legs through the day while you admire the countryside.

Set in the Norfolk countryside, just a few miles inland from the coast, the cottage is ideally positioned for discovering the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Reachable by car is the historic city of Norwich, known for its cathedral, the Norwich Castle Museum and Gardens, and the regular market.

Why not make your way to the seaside towns of Cromer or North Walsham, for a day of playing in the sand and savouring traditional fish and chips and ice cream?

If the charm of market towns excites you, Sheringham and the gorgeous village of Overstrand, plus many other attractions and market towns lie close by, and make a lovely day of shopping, eating and drinking.

Owl Cottage is a characterful cottage you can enjoy any time of year.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £300.
