Betty and Eric were friendly and helpful.

The oven needed a clean and freezer part of the fridge needed defrosting.

The place was very clean and Betty was very informative.

We had a great stay close to Norwich and surrounding areas.

Mr and Mrs Wickenden are two of the nicest, most obliging people anyone could wish to meet, The property is comfortable, particularly the beds.

The kitchen is fully equipped and could cope with the preparation and cooking of a three coarse dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return sometime in the future

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Clockmakers, from the first day of arrival Betty, Eric and Daisy their gorgeous dog made us feel at home, a lovely welcome pack to get us started.

They went above and beyond to give advice even dropping us and picking us up from the Football. A great base to easily get into Norwich with buses around the corner so no need to use the car. A lovely garden area to sit out if the weather is good. Thank you Betty and Eric.

Even the weather played ball, no rain at all, just glorious sunshine! Betty and Eric and their dog made us very welcome.

Well situated annex in a quiet neighborhood.

Located within walking distance of supermarkets, take away foods, pubs and first bus stop. Kitchen is well equipped with all you require to cook and serve full meals. Ideal when travelling with pets as the garden is fully fenced with a gate leading onto the main house. The hosts are available if required and most attentive checking that all is in order during your stay. I would most certainly stay here again.

It was as advertised, it was very comfortable and relaxing.

we found it's location as anticipated and were able to leave the car on the drive and walk a short distance to the bus into the city (unfortunately the nearest bus stop was not being serviced due to road works). I would recommend it to any pair of my friends for their stay.

OWNERS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. IDEAL PLACE IF YOU DON‘T HAVE A CAR.BUS STOP AND SMALL SUPER MARKET A FEW MINS.WALK AWAY. THE TRAIN LINES TO THE COAST ARE VERY GOOD. INTO NORWICH BY BUS IS ONLY ABOUT 13 MINS. LOVELY WALKS ALONG THE RIVER IN TOWN.CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAVING A HOLIDAY IN THE OLD CLOCKMAKERS IF YOU WANT DISCOVER NORFOLK.

The owners were lovely, very welcoming and helpful.

We will stay there again when in Norwich. We can recommend the chip shop round the corner and The Cottage for pub food.

We found the accommodation extremely comfortable, and Betty and Eric were very welcoming.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and the briefing about the cottage on arrival was detailed.

Also helpful were the small guidance notes next to things such as the cooker. We found the beds comfortable and everything worked as expected. At new year we didn’t use the garden but could see that this would be pleasant when more seasonable.

The Old Clockmakers property is a single level accomadation attached to the owners house and sharing the garden area.

It is well laid out and well stocked with a wide range of quality equipment, idealy located to visit Norwich and most of Norfolk. The owners were very friendly and helpfull and keen to help us with local knowledge, including a very detailed local map showing shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Holiday flat was as described and was clean & tidy.

Hosts made us welcome and gave us a quick tour with guidance on appliances etc. There was also a welcome pack containing milk, bread and cake.

It was well laid out.

Nice to have a welcome pack of bread, butter, biscuits and milk. The kitchen was well equipped, even had a butter dish. Plenty of everything in the kitchen. The lounge area was very comfortable, with a large TV. The main bedroom had a large bed and doors into the garden. The bed very comfortable. The room also had a TV, which was great for us. We could not use the garden which looked lovely with its table and chairs and hammock, due to the weather. It rained most days. The cottage was very handy for buses into Norwich, about a 7 minute walk to the bus stop, we used it a couple of times. Norwich town has plenty to see and do. Norwich Castle museum was really worth the visit, we spent most of the day there. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Despite the weather we had a good time.

It wasn’t really a holiday as we were house hunting which was exhausting, but we came back every evening to very comfortable accommodation where we could make a meal, watch TV, discuss that day’s property viewings and get a good night’s sleep.

We appreciated the dishwasher and the good shower. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to sit in the garden, but the Norfolk weather was very good for our daily trips by bus and on foot to all the houses that we wanted to view. Our hosts were very helpful and I was really glad of the lift back to the station with my luggage. If we need to search the area again for a new home, we will be very happy if we can stay at The Old Clockmakers again.

The biggest thing that will remain with us, after our 2 weeks at The Old Clockmakers, is their friendliness and keenness to help.

Especially Betty who works hard at ensuring our stay is perfect. Which it was, except the weather! I think she would have changed that if she could! Plenty to see and do within the area as Norwich is totally steeped in history, which we love. Many thanks.

Well equipped annexe to the owners bungalow, was very comfortable and warm.

Spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. They had really put some thought into equipping the cottage, we especially liked the laminated map of the local area on which they had marked shops, cash points, post office, pubs and eateries and bus stops. Hosts Betty and Eric were great to talk to with fascinating stories of their lives, and Eric’s workmanship in making clocks and other intricate woodwork was well worth seeing. The cottage was ideally situated for exploring the historic city of Norwich.

We loved the accommodation and Eric and Betty were wonderfully welcoming and helpful.

Milk and bread and biscuits provided on arrival, much appreciated. Well situated for buses into Norwich. Aldi 2 minutes away by car, Sainsbury's 5 mins. A big Thanks to Eric and Betty for being such brilliant hosts. Richard and Julie Hamilton

I just wanted to mention how kind the owners of the flat were.

We had the worst snow in Norwich for about twenty years and as I don';t have transport the owners very kindly got food in for me as I couldn't get to the shops and gave me lifts into town. I was very grateful to them and the cottage was lovely and warm despite the unusual sub-zero temperatures! It wasn't quite the holiday I planned but thanks to Mr and Mrs Wickenden I had a really nice time.

We had a very pleasant winter break in Norwich.

The cottage had all the facilities we would expect and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. It is a very good central location to visit Norfolk.

One of the best-equipped kitchens we've come across in a holiday rental - everything was there. The apartment is beautifully furnished with high quality linen etc.

The owners are extremely friendly and very helpful.

The flat was very comfy with plenty of equipment and extras. I would say that a hairdryer would have been good so I didn't have to take mine. The owner had left us a good welcome pack so we could make a tea on arrival. We will definitely going there again
