Cottage was ideal location close to all amenities
The gated parking was fantastic but had trouble locking and unlocking and elderly parents could not get back in on a few occasions (maybe re think the gate design with a doorway in and a different location for the hinges as this may give a larger access or think about changing the lock design)
Tv was very small for the size of the room and had to bring the sofas forward
Sofas are ok but the one without the arms was very uncomfortable and hard to get up from for the parents
Internet was hit and miss even with the tp links
Kitchen had everything you could possibly need but unfortunately the freezer was unusable as it had frosted over
In the single rooms the duvets were small for us adults but room was brilliant
But overall would definitely stay again without my parents as they found it difficult getting in and out of the sofas and gates
If you like people watching then you can from the living room(my husband was one happy man as his favourite pastime)

"Beautiful, very well equipped cottage, fantastic location."
The only downside was its not private the courtyard is shared with another property, so you couldn't just let the dog out for a wee without supervision. And it is advertised as private courtyard and dog friendly.

"Had a great time staying at the property."
Very clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The only downfall was not being able to get my car through the gates but if you have a small car you'll be OK. The car park adjacent to the castle is only £6 for 24hrs which is a short walk away. All the facilities you need for yourselves and /or your pooches are available there. I would highly recommend staying here to not only explore Beaumaris but all of the beautiful Island..... We will definitely return if availability

"Excellent location and property very clean."
The only downsides were the sofas in the lounge, this property would really benefit from some comfortable seating. On Christmas day the dishwasher started leaking during use which thank goodness we managed to clean up with no damage to the property but no emergency contact number at the property. It could have been much more serious had we put the dishwasher on overnight as we had done earlier in our holiday.
Dear Mrs Neilson.
Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the location and appreciated the cleanliness of the property.
I am sorry to hear that Sykes did not respond as quickly as you would have liked regarding "the issues" you experienced and I will try to get to the bottom of why you had difficulty in contacting them over the weekend and on a bank holiday.
I will also check with Sykes that the dishwasher is in full working order as I try to maintain the highest standards for my guests.
Overall, I hope you enjoyed your stay and were made to feel more than welcome with the festive gift of mulled wine and mince pies that I arranged for you on your arrival.
Many thanks and I wish you a Happy New Year.
Best wishes

"We used to live in Beaumaris and we’ve been before to this cottage and we’ve booked again for next year!"
Lovely bolt hole in the middle of town. The only grumble is that we wish that we could watch a film from start to finish without the Wi-Fi giving up. Happy to pay a bob or two extra for this.

"Lovely cottage, clean, tidy, well equiped and ideal location."
Dog friendly, enclosed garden. Loads of beach and coastal walks in Anglesey.
Parking at the green- car safe. However, it was not attended to 9-5 daily.. Therefore we had to pay for daily car parking passes and not the week pass, which made it more expensive.

"We stayed one night out of seven, before heading home."
House is dog friendly but the over powering ‘chemical’ smell of all the plug ins meant our dog wouldn’t enter the property. When we did get in, he cried by the door. Even with windows open the smell lingered and gave us headaches. Pub by house has outside tables and chairs (not shown in pictures) which meant it was noisy in one of the bedrooms and the lounge. People were right outside the windows!
WiFi was poor to none existent and there was no phone signal - so I couldn’t even contact Sykes.
Now I’m home I’m not getting anywhere with Sykes on this, which is a shame as I’ve been using their properties for a few years.
If you’re after a relaxing / quiet stay in Anglesey, this property probably isn’t for you.

"We had a delightful stay at 1 Tyn Y Gongl cottage."
There was ample space for our needs, and the rooms were all well equipped, with comfortable sofas and beds. The privacy blinds were very useful, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The only snag was the patchiness of the WiFi connection. The twin room can be a little noisy at weekends (due to it facing the street), but it wasn’t overwhelming, and the pub closed at a reasonable time. It’s a great location for anyone with limited mobility, as Beaumaris is quite flat and everything is on your doorstep.

"We enjoyed the week here."
One issue is the parking - we were not told about the parking prices, but we managed to get in total 4 cars in there. Mine was the largest which I found easily to get in only if you reverse in One of the rooms, the bedding was not dried properly (possibly folded while damp)but we needed a new set at home so we purchase a set the next day so all good.
Other than that a lovely place ideal location and lots happening and I recommend anyone to visit.

), exceptional location, great parking managed to get a Citroen in there and a jeep avenger tho tight on both thru the gates. Beds were comfy tho twin room has small single beds not ideal for an adult but great for the kids. Plenty of games provided for rainy days and tv has lots channels. Perfect for our doggies too would def stay here again.

"Beautiful property."
Immaculate throughout. We ended up parking on the Green as the gates were too difficult to navigate and our car is not big! That was ok except for when we were leaving as the draymen were delivering at the pub and we needed to leave by 10.30am. We couldn't get anywhere near to put our luggage in the car. It would also be a good idea to have a door in the gate so that every time you go out/come back you don't have to mess around with the heavy gates. Plus it's worth noting that if other people were parking from the other 2 properties the outside space is not dog friendly. We had our 2 dogs with us but as nobody was staying in the other properties it was fine. For us the outside/gates spoilt what was otherwise a beautiful property to stay in.

"Had a fantastic holiday."
Loved the style and decor of the cottage. Lovely, thoughtful little extras. Fantastic place to visit. We didn’t want to leave. Best thing is it is dog friendly. Lovely and warm. The only negatives we could find, was that the curtains are very long, and we needed to close them, as it was cold. They then cover the only radiators in the room. The wifi keeps losing connection, it happens daily, and nothing will connect. Although it did not spoil our holiday!!

Ideal for enjoying Biwmaris with stunning views of Snowdonia. The Bull became our cosy local.
As indicated driving in through the gates was a challenge. I managed it on the first night, parking on the Green thereafter.
A lovely restful holiday.

"We had a most delightful stay at Tyn Y Gongl Cottage which was comfortable, warm, clean, well equipped and beautifully presented (thanks for the bottle of bubbly)."
We managed to get our jeep through the gates (we had no problem with them) and the enclosed courtyard was a safe outdoor area for our furry companions Ralph and Bella.
The cottage is in an excellent location just a few short steps to the promenade and the centre of town where there are plenty of cafés, restaurants and shops from which to obtain supplies (and the odd Christmas present). The hotel next door has a sports bar much to the delight of my footie loving husband.
Beaumaris itself is beautiful; a perfect place to relax and take in the magnificent scenery whilst on a stroll along the sea front (the sun even shone!).
Our only quibble was the lack of info on how to operate the various appliances, TV and heating (but we managed to work it out so no harm done).
All in all, a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location.

"The cottage is lovely, very welcoming and centrally positioned in a great town."
As other people have commented, the gates are a problem and should be replaced with ones you can open easily. It is handy to have parking.
I did have to clean all worktops as there were old crumbs around and under the chopping boards when you moved them and the fridge wasn't clean at all.
There was an awful smell which I tracked down to the rubber shower mats hanging on the back of the bathroom doors, so, once they were put in the cupboard, the smell disappeared. Maybe change them to odourless mats?
These minor problems didn't affect our overall enjoyment and it really is a nice, tasteful, well equipped property.
Dear Louise
