"This was our second visit to Gwyndy Bach."
A beautiful, spacious house in a stunning little village of Beddgelert. Our only criticism would be that the house needs a little TLC but we understand this is in the process of being done soon.
We must say a huge thank you to Chris and Mandy (housekeepers) for being so kind to us on departure day due to our car breaking down. Their hospitality was second to none!

"The accommodation is comfy, spacious with well equipped kitchen , two bathrooms and stylish living room."
TV is nice and big too, with Netflix available. Fire place works well so does the heating and hot water. Can't complain about cleanliness inside. On the outside however the main window would need a regular wash so you can actually enjoy the view of the river. Altogether beautiful place and an attractive, well located lodge.

"The cottage was simple but well appointed with essentials - we were travelling with four children planning to climb Snowdon and so the balance of space, comfort - and a reasonable kitchen for simple meal prep was great."
It was warm, clean and tidy and the WiFi was great. I’m sure when Covid measures are relaxed entirely it will be even better - travelling with towels, bed linen and kit for six fir a long weekend is rather off putting. And as we had a particularly wet day the provision of some board games and logs for the fire would when allowed be very welcome.

"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Gwynedd Bach - so much so, that we have rebooked for next year!"
A very spacious, comfortable, immaculate property, in a superb central location for easy access to village amenities, cycle hire and mountain walks. No outside space, but we did not miss this as the surrounding area is so glorious.
Only area for improvement - as mentioned in other reviews, the showerhead in the main bathroom needs to be very carefully positioned, otherwise it leaks a lot all over the bathroom floor.

"The owner needs to do some outside maintenance."
On the only rainy day the gutters leaked all around the property, particularly over the key safe. The down pipes need attention and the drains need clearing. The garden at the front of the property needs maintenance, weeds removed all round and the shrubs at the front reducing in width, we know this acts as a screen from the road but it is all but touching the kitchen window. 6ft from original bush. Also the path could be cleared to make the front of the property more attractive. Finally if there is any recycling left by previous tenant, despite being 'more than we've had before' shouldn't this be removed. And the property could do with more china, mugs etc. As one set is in the dishwasher what do you drink your tea from?

"Gwyndy Bach is a beautiful house in beautiful settings, but the house could do with some TLC."
One large radiator not working, family bathroom shower floods when in use for very long. Cooker not clean. Outside garden is very overgrown and untidy and not really useable.
No hairdryer in a house that accommodates 6 people!
Poor communication from housekeeper regarding bringing own bedding.

"We were asked to supply our own bedding by the owners of this cottage - duvet cover, bottom sheet, pillowcase and towel."
AS some of our group were travelling by public transport, this was quite inconvenient. There must be another way round this.
The cottage has minimal crockery - only x6 of most items, which means you use the dishwasher more frequently than if you had a bigger stock to draw on.

It has everything you need for a holiday. We stayed over Christmas 2019 and cooked a full Chris lunch with no problems. There were six adults and plenty of room for all. Hebog bistro is definitely worth a visit.
Hope to be back soon in the summer

"Very comfortable accommodation, spacious and well appointed."
Only slight downside being one twin room has narrow beds and duvets that were too small so slid off, resulting in the comfort rating being downgraded. Otherwise perfect and highly recommended.

"Amazing kitchen/diner, spacious rooms, comfy bed and clean."
Awkward layout in lounge was fine for us two, may not have suited us if we had been six, TV area separate to fire area, and I personally prefer settees to individual chairs. Great location for walking from Beddgelert, no noise or problems rom pub next door, though this was out of season in October and few visitors about, had a lovely time.

"Yes. I have sent you an email."
The house has a lack of mirrors! The en suite bathroom mirror is on the. Opposite Wall to the sink so if shaving one has to turn around to do it. No mirror in the middle bedroom ( we were 6 adults) so that would have been good. There's no hairdryer in the house which is unusual . The kitchen needs more dinner plates. There are only 6. Not one spare so have to wash up instead of using dishwasher.
Beautiful house though. Very spacious. Comfortable beds.

"This is a spacious and clean cottage renovated to a high standard."
My only suggestion is that given the lack of outside space and the changeable weather, it would be really helpful to have a tumble dryer; even though we visited in summer it was difficult to get clothes dry.

"We loved our stay at Gwyndy Bach."
The kitchen-dining area was great to hang out in and we spent most of our time at the cottage there. The bedrooms were big, especially the master bedroom. Admittedly, we were only a family of 4 in a cottage for 6, but even with two additional people I am sure it would have felt the same.
Beddgelert is a beautiful village in a great location and served as a fabulous base for the day trips we made. The village itself has a small shop where you can get the essentials and an ice cream parlour where we stopped by more than once.
The cottage is very central, next to The Saracen's Head, but there was no noise issue at night when we stayed during the summer holidays.
Beware that there is no O2 signal in the village, but the wifi at the cottage was all we needed to be able to plan our outings.
