  • "Location, location, location."

    Afon Glaslyn rushes by below as you sit on the terrace of Llety. You look up to Moel Hebog or up the valley to the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) massif and it is magnificent. The cottage is the end terrace of a set of miner's cottages. It is snug, comfortable, well maintained with the owner's personality expressed with some cute touches. The bedrooms are functional but a touch small, no wardrobes but plenty of hanging space. The bathroom works, but there is no spare space in it. The living space is fine and there was everything that we needed in the kitchen space. It's a small cottage and they have made the best out of it and it works. The terrace raises it to another level entirely.

  • "It´s been a lovely little home away from home from the first turn of the key in the front door till us leaving after a week with a little tear in the eyes."

    Llety combines so many things in a seemingly effortless way: a private rertreat in the middle of a village. The views on the surrounding mountains and the river from the wooden deck, but only a few minutes walk to some pubs, a wonderful small shop with everything you need, some great ice cream. You can decide to walk around the hills and mountains, not seeing somebody else for the whole day. Or stroll through the village, meeting other tourists and locals. No wonder, the little guestbook shows entries all year round, some guests added little drawings, everybody puts some effort in the messages in this book, which for itself says a lot.

  • "Fabulous cottage, felt welcomed and warm the minute we stepped through the door."

    Brilliant hosting with owner introducing self via email and text before and during stay . Lovely welcome gift, much appreciated. The cottage is beautiful and quirky and the owners have so many wonderful touches around the place, but the best thing was the decking out back overlooking the beautiful river Glaslyn. Spent many happy hours sat just listening to the water and birds in this beautiful part of Wales. Great location for exploring Snowdonia area or simply just staying in the beautiful village of Beddgelert. Only lost couple marks due to lack of wardrobes and washing machine. But due to size of cottage appreciate this wouldn't be easy. There is plenty space to hang clothes on pretty rails in bedrooms for anyone put off by lack of wardrobe. I managed fine and I take alot of clothes! Thanks again for our lovely stay at your beautiful cottage Would highly recommend this place and look forward to staying again in the future.

  • "This is a perfect little cottage for a walking break in a beautiful part of North Wales, a short distance from Snowdon and also the coast."

    Most walks, we did straight from the front door. The cottage itself has everything you need for a self catering holiday. The terrace is great to sit out on to watch the world go by on a sunny day and the multi fuel burner is great for staying in on a chilly evening. We experienced both. Storm Dave followed by run of this years hottest spring days. Eileen the owner is very attentive and responds quickly to any correspondence. Thank you for a lovely week, we would definitely recommend.

  • "This gorgeous, cosy cottage tucked away in the mountains was absolutely breathtaking."

    Having a river running right beside it made it even more magical — listening to the sound of the water all day was lovely. In the evenings, sinking into the sofa and enjoying the firepit was total relaxing. The host’s relative makes the most beautifully scented soaps, perfect for sensitive skin

  • "The cottage is very cosy and compact but exceptionally well planned out with regards to use of space."

  • "We had visited this cottage under previous owners and were interested to see if old happy memories could be preserved."

    They were. As you enter there is a sign above the door. " This is a small house with a big welcome". Truer words were never spoken. We arrived on a cold Friday afternoon to find a warm room. It was like a welcoming hug. The accommodation is lovely. The river runs behind the property and the sound of it is never absent. The facilities are more than adequate. We were so comfortable the whole time we were there. The owner was wonderfully helpful and had generously provided ample fuel for the multi fuel burner. The village is a great location and despite the weather being mixed we were able to enjoy a wonderful walking holiday without ever using the car. We shall return.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Letty cottage."

    It was the ideal base for exploring the stunning mountains and trails nearby. The cottage itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of character — with all the little touches that make you feel instantly at home. The log burner was a dream after long hikes, and the views from the decking were just breathtaking. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed incredibly comfortable If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature, this is the place.

  • "Absolutely gorgeous cottage in a fabulous location."

    We felt instantly at home, it was cosy, peaceful and beautifully decorated. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck watching & listening to the river and the birds. The pretty village has some lovely shops & plenty of dining choices. There are lovely walks right from your doorstep - we took a scenic, one mile stroll to the Sygun Copper Mine which I can highly recommend. Beddgelert is a great place to explore N Wales from but the village and it's environs are stunning, don't forget to do them justice. Owner Eileen was fab, providing lots of information & recommendations and a lovely welcome pack. Five stars aren't enough, we'll definitely be back.

Porthmadog 7.7 miles; Caernarfon 12.8 miles.

The picturesque village of Beddgelert lies in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park at the foot of Mount Snowdon. Beddgelert is a bustling village with arts and craft shops, tea rooms, welcoming pubs, including Saracens Head and the Royal Goat, and restaurants, centred around the Afon Glaslyn river. A leisurely stroll along the river will take you to the Aberglaslyn Pass, one of North Wales’s most famous beauty spots. The Welsh Highland Steam Railway passes through the village on its journey from Porthmadog to Caernarfon. Beddgelert is famed for its monument to the Welsh Prince Llewelyn's dog, whom the Prince killed thinking it had attacked and killed his son, only to discover afterwards it had been defending his son from a savage wolf attack. From here, you can easily access Porthmadog, home to a Maritime Museum, the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, the Black Rock Llamas, and Porthmadog Golf Club, as well as Borth y Gest, where you can hike along the Beach Path, spend a day at the beach, and dine at the popular Black Rock Beach Club with stunning sea views, onwards to the Llyn Peninsula and beyond, this is an ideal location for a Welsh holiday.
