  • "The property was very near perfect."

Very cleanly decorated and well equipped. Ideally located just out of town so it was nice and quiet. We were six walkers coming back from wet winter walks and there was always plenty of hot water to satisfy our showers. The gardens were tidy and well maintained and would be wonderful in spring and summer. The only two negatives were the key box. We had difficulty every time as it was very fiddily to open. Secondly a tumble dryer for drying our walking kit would have been very helpful. Not insurmountable but better than cluttering up radiators.

Thank you for your feedback I’ll check the key box maybe it’s suffered over the wet months! I have considered a tumble dryer and thank you for your kind comments Sara and Pete Property Owner

It was a perfect location in idyllic surroundings. Sara and Pete were on hand if needed, it was wonderful to have a chat and say thankyou face to face before we left when Sara came to say goodbye. 100% we would recommend Coed Derw Isaf, and will hopefully be back again.

  • "Had a great stay at Coed Derw Isaf."

A lovely home in pretty surroundings with most shops a short walk away. Due to a medical emergency we under occupied by 4 people but this would accommodate 8 people with ease. I was fortunate enough to have the master bedroom which was a pleasure to stay in including the vast bathroom which I swam in several times. My only moan would be the mattresses in both of the larger rooms, as all four of us using these 2 rooms were not sleeping very well and aching quite a bit throughout the week. Maybe time to replace the mattresses. However, saying that I'll be back in a heartbeat as my brother lives close by and we intend to try again with another family get together. Thank you, but I do urge you to test drive your bed for a night, xx

Thank you for your review and glad you enjoyed your stay - with regards to the matteress the one in the main master bedroom is new - we have replaced the one in the other larger double . Many thanks Sara Property Owner

  • "A beautiful, comfortable and immaculately clean cottage in a lovely setting close to the village."

The gardens are well kept with plenty of areas for sitting outside and lots of space to park several cars. The lounge is large with space for everyone to sit together and there is lots of equipment provided in the kitchen for meals to be prepared. We enjoyed visiting many places in the area and would love to return to do more. The owners are very responsive to any issues.

  • "What a wonderful house!"

We had a great time as a whole family with four generations all together ranging from 84yrs to 9months… everyones needs were catered for - from a walk in wet room for my elderly mother to a cot and highchair for my littlest munchkin!! Lots of space for the children to run and crawl around and plenty of seating for the adults to all be together either inside or out. And the welcome basket was a wonderful touch to start our holiday. Thank you.

The location of the cottage was ideal and offered the peace and quiet we wanted yet close to shops and restaurants. It is an ideal location for exploring Northern Snowdonia. The cottage was extremely well equipped for ones needs and the owners had spared no expense in the furnishing and equipment provided. I would definitely recommend the property to those wanting that extra bit of luxury. One point to note beware the stags head coat hooks they can bite!

  • "It did get very cold during the day time."

The heating wouldn't turn on and we couldnt contact the owner using the number given in the welcome pack.

Thank you for your feedback - the heating is on in the morning and the afternoon on a timer - we would have happily changed it for you if you were in working during the day. You messaged me to advise that an extra guest and dog were coming which I acknowledged which was the same number in the Welcome Pack. We were also around at home but apologize we missed your communication. Apart from the heating I hope you enjoyed your stay Regards Sara Property Owner

  • "We had an amazing stay over Christmas 2022."

The cottege was perfect and had absolutely everything you could think of. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The owners had great communication before and during our stay, they decorated the cottege with Christmas decorations, left us a lovely hamper and even left a Christmas present for my little boy. I would absolutely recommend here and we would love to stay again.
