"We enjoyed a lovely weeks stay at Florence Cottage, which is one of five, I think, similar single floor cottages adjacent to the property the owners live in."

We found Florence to be very spacious, very clean and comfortable. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially when a problem arose with the WiFi and it was fixed very quickly. We had arrived at the start of heatwave No.4 of summer 2025 so spent some days in the enclosed garden before venturing out once it was a little cooler. Nowhere is out of reach on the island as the cottage is fairly centrally placed, and we got around the whole island, which we know well. There’s a shop and a pub a short drive away if you need anything and a large Tesco store not too distant. One thing we also enjoyed was sitting out late into the night looking up at the crystal clear dark skies and at the Pleiades meteors zipping across the heavens, a once a year free show by Mother Nature! Yes, we enjoyed our week at Florence Cottage and may well return in due course.

"Our stay in Florence Cottage was really lovely and peaceful which was just what we needed."

My husband and I brought our puppy with us and had a lovely stay. The cottage is so peaceful and very comfortable. There is plenty of off road parking space and a lovely garden to wander around. We also had our own private patio with a table and chairs. The sofa's and beds are unbelievably comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. The cottage was lovely and clean. The living room/kitchenette is very spacious and we could fit our puppy's playpen and crate in there and we still had plenty of room to relax and move about. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to our lovely hosts at Florence Cottage - nothing was too much trouble.
