  • "Our first 'big' family holiday and the cottage felt like home."

    The cottage provided us with everything we could possibly think of. Ideally situated, we have made good use of the sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking and swimming. The hot tub was the perfect place to unwind after a hard day on the beach.

  • "The cottage is really lovely and the owners are super helpful."

    The location is absolutely perfect. You can walk to a stunning beach, a really lovely pub for dinner and explore miles of beautiful countryside. But with the added bonus of being able to drive to a big supermarket within 15 minutes. We were a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 children) plus 2 large dogs. The space in the cottage was excellent, with plenty of seating areas. The garden is a great size (the dogs definitely approved) and the hot tub is lovely. Our only criticism was that the double bed downstairs is tiny - really squashed for 2 adults. Overall we had a wonderful week and would love to return one day

  • "A gorgeous home with beautiful space outside to relax and eat / drink with friends."

    5 couples stayed at Bodior Cottage and we loved every second. Bodior Cottage had everything we needed, there was nothing the cottage didn’t have! We had a BBQ and it was fantastic, no need to get briquettes or BBQ tools, as the cottage had it all. We also had a visit from Meg, the farm dog, she was a lovely addition to the weekend. Nothing was too much trouble for Dan, thanks for your help over the weekend!

  • "We had a wonderful family holiday at Bodior Garden Cottage."

    Dan and Emma were very helpful in providing information about the local area and suggesting places to visit. The cottage worked really well for our family with the living accommodation and ground floor accessible bedroom. The cottage was very clean, beautifully decorated, homely and very well equipped. We enjoyed the garden and hot tub and were delighted to see the red squirrels who were frequent visitors. Walks along the coastal path were lovely and there are beautiful beaches nearby. We would love to visit again.

  • "We stayed at Bodior Garden cottage to celebrate a 60th birthday as a family of 10."

    We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Dan and Emma have thought of everything and were very welcoming. The decor is beautifully done and the garden is spacious and peaceful. We saw red squirrels in the garden and Calf’s on our walk to the beach. Can’t recommend enough and would love to return in the future. Thank you very much!

  • "We have had a fabulous week."

    What a Gem! Bodior lodge is beautifully decorated. Very homely and we enjoyed the colours and floral patterns and interesting objects. The fresh flowers and milk and Bara Brith were a welcome touch. The walks, the space, the light, the beaches all so beautiful. And the hot tub!!! Wow. I'm sure we'll be back

  • "Such a lovely cottage."

    Spacious, lovely soft furnishings giving it a cosy feel. Secure garden for dogs (it would be helpful to have the grass cut regularly). The hot tub was loved by all. We plan to return.

  • "What a beautifully relaxing week had by all."

    Beautiful beaches and surrounding areas. A lovely meal was had at the White Eagle. Squirrels, woodpeckers and lots of other nature was a bonus.   • "What a beautiful house."

    Dan and Emma have renovated Bodior Garden Cottage with such sympathy. Old is mixed with new providing a characterful and comfortable stay made even better as the cottage is so well equipped, making it super easy to cater for 10 people and the little ‘extras’ make your stay, that little bit more special. Although you have to pay extra for the hot tub, we felt it was well worth the extra cost, clean and well maintained. The location was perfect, the walk to the beach was lovely with a lovely pub just a short drive away and shops also just a short drive away. Communication with the hosts was excellent and the information provided in the cottage made our stay even easier. We would love to come back to the Bodior Estate again. Thank you Dave and Emma

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Bodior Garden Cottage, a good base to explore Sir Fon."

    Everyone enjoyed the hot tub especially the children. It was also lovely to see some red squirrels in the garden. The house was lovely and warm we didn't have to light the woodburners.

  • "We had a lovely relaxing week at Bodior Garden Cottage and are missing it already!"

    The cottage is in a peaceful location overlooking sheep fields on the Bodior Estate. The garden is absolutely massive and is enclosed making it perfect for our young and lively cocker spaniel, Darcey. She had the best time exploring every inch of it and we were at ease knowing she couldn't escape. The toasty hot tub in the corner of the garden is shielded from the quiet lane for privacy and we were in there every day. We enjoyed watching the red squirrels running around the garden and the variety of birds, including robins, woodpeckers, jays and even a buzzard in one of the nearby fields. If you love watching the RAF jets at Valley, you can see the Hawks and Texans doing circuits from the garden. The cottage itself has been beautifully decorated and feels very homely. It has everything you could need in terms of facilities, comfort and entertainment. There are books, games, high speed internet for streaming. Picnic bag and blankets and throws to take to the beach. Even a basket full of throws and towels to protect the furniture if you take your four legged friend. They really have thought of everything, and the welcome basket of goodies on arrival went down a treat. It was lovely to meet the owners, who are currently renovating the impressive Bodior Hall.   • "We had a wonderful few days at Bodior Garden Cottage early September 2025."

    The cottage was immaculate, cosy, beautifully decorated and very well equipped - We had absolutely everything we needed. Hosts Dan & Emma were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The area is stunningly beautiful, with just a short walk down to the bay and lovely countryside walks on your door step. We enjoyed the tranquility of the setting, watching a red squirrel chasing around the garden and even having sight of a buzzard early one morning. We would all love to return to the cottage as it was the most perfect little break. Thankyou Dan & Emma.

  • "The cottage is lovely."

    Plenty of space for a large group. The garden is great - fully enclosed for our lively spaniel. The kitchen is really well equipped to cook for a large group. The setting is quiet and rural, down a private lane and you can walk to the beautiful Silver Bay. We found Trearddur Bay and Porth Dafarch great for little kids, paddle boards etc as you can park nearby.

    Bodior Garden Cottage is a lovely place to stay and enjoy peace and tranquility, listening to birds singing and watching the red squirrels, the cottage was spotless, with everything you could need, beds are very comfy,all tastefully decorated to keep in with stile and age of the cottage, two comfy sitting areas with TV 's so something for everyone, Emma and Dan the owner's of the property are so friendly and nice, A lovely welcome pack was really nice, especially the wine and cake , the pictures do not do it justice far better in real life, the only down side for us was we had to leave ,thank you for letting us stay and being the first ones to stay

The property

Bodior Garden Cottage is a wonderful holiday cottage nestled in the countryside on the outskirts of Rhoscolyn on Anglesey.

The property is situated at the end of a picturesque private drive bounded by red squirrel ancient woodland.

As you approach, you’ll immediately start to feel on holiday!

Set within a magical 600-acre farm, close by are great walks, places to eat and drink and sandy beaches.

The large dining kitchen will maximise ease and convenience during the entirety of your stay.

Guests can be cooking, dining or enjoying an armchair by the woodburning stove.

The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you will need to whip up those culinary delights, which can be enjoyed around the dining table, comfortably seating 10.

The separate sitting room offers cosy sofas, armchairs and a large flat-screen TV positioned to enjoy the second log burning stove.

Outside is a sheltered west-facing dining and barbecue area for 10, perfect for sundowners.

The extensive, safely enclosed, large rear garden with furniture, an indulgent hot tub, and views over the farm towards Eryri National Park is directly accessible from the kitchen and the ground floor bedroom.

A recent addition to the cottage is a ground floor wheelchair accessible bedroom.

The bedroom can be accessed via a flat paved path from the left-hand parking area and through an extra-wide, lowered threshold, glazed door.

The bedroom is served by a wet room with a wide sliding door, accessible height toilet and basin and grab rails.

The cottage offers 2 extra bathrooms, one with a bath and shower over and the other with a large shower, both located on the ground floor - perfect for showering off sandy feet.

Upstairs has been remodelled to create 4 luxurious bedrooms; one king-size bedroom, a super king bedroom (which can alternatively be set up as 2 single beds on request), a vibrant bunk room with en suite toilet and basin, and a further double bedroom with en-suite toilet and basin.

All beds are dressed with the highest quality Egyptian cotton linen.

Once you're all unpacked and settled, head out to explore the pretty coastal village of Rhoscolyn with its sandy beaches and many activities to enjoy.

Guests of Bodior Garden Cottage can enjoy a direct footpath through the farm and onto the coastal footpath via the beautiful, and largely deserted, Silver Bay.

There are plenty of attractions, walks, activities and places to eat and drink within this area of Anglesey, including the well-known local Gastro pub, The White Eagle.

RHOSCOLYN

Valley 2 miles; Trearddur Bay 3 miles; Holyhead 5 miles.

Located on Holy Island, three miles from Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn is a small village with a church and primary school and is the most southerly place on Holy Island. Rhoscolyn also offers an excellent pub on the lane down to the beach, which is renowned for its gastro food, and the beach itself with its slipway, ideal for small dinghies and power boats, is a popular family destination throughout the summer owing to the sheltered cove and gently sloping sands. Also excellent cliff-top walks can be enjoyed and an abundance of wildlife can be seen, often including seals on the headland. Just two miles away is the village of Valley, which has a Post Office, chemist, shops and eating places, plus the nearby resort of Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of the island and is truly beautiful with a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine Blue Flag sandy beaches. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, supermarkets, harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. Watersports, bathing, sailing, windsurfing and horse riding are the main activities in the summer months, plus golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course, and the area is also a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve. An excellent location with plenty to see and do!
