Three of us had a very happy and comfortable stay at Sea View Apartment.

Beautiful location with excellent views over the bay and estuary. Very useful having parking, too. The apartment is perfectly equipped and provided the ideal home from home for our explorations of the area. I can recommend it highly.

Absolutely stunning apartment with imperious views.

Extremely comfortable and well equipped throughout. Thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and a loaf of delicious Bara Brith. We will most definitely be returning to Borth-y Gest to stay at Seaview Apartment. Thanks to Fiona and her team for a super relaxing stay.

Wonderful location.

Who needs TV when you have a spectacular Sea View. Where better to stay than above a high quality ice cream parlor in a heat wave yum. Dogs loved the beach and the nature reserve plus the doggy ice cream. The village is immaculate and lives up to it's best kept sign. Ideal base for exploring with Criccieth and Osprey sanctuary close by. Village hasn't got a shop but Porthmadog has several supermarkets. Lots of Beaches and coves to explore along the costal path. Lived up to expectations.

Our third year in a row and looking forward to booking again in 2027. Fiona, Katie, Henry and staff provide a lovely warm welcome. Stepping back into that lovely apartment and seeing that unique panoramic view instantly gives us that home from home feeling. Our ‘happy place’, see you again next year guys! X

We really enjoyed our weeks stay at Seaview It had all we needed and was lovely to come back to after days out.

The views through the panoramic window were amazing and always changing. Having a cafe next door was very useful too, although busy was never noisy. We enjoyed all the books and info about Borth y Gest, local area and history. We left a Leila walking stick behind and Fiona very kindly posted it back to us. Thankyou and also for the Bara Brith.

Yet another wonderful stay at Sea View (our third time)!

Cannot recommend this wonderful apartment and Borth-y-Gest enough, not to mention Sea View Cafe Bistro - the food is fantastic and the welcome is so warm too. Many thanks to Fiona and the staff at Sea View Cafe Bistro, we look forward to returning again!

What a wonderful place to relax.

Watching the tides and changes in the weather was never tiring. We could have just watched through the amazing window and not moved all week. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, the kitchen is small but well stocked with everything needed. With a friendly bistro downstairs with very tasty food who needs to cook! The car parking is a bonus too. We would love to return in the near future.

Yet another wonderful stay at Sea View apartment, this was our second stay and within one day of arrival we booked again for next year!

You really can’t beat this apartment, it is so clean and comfortable, and the view is just incredible. Borth-y-Gest itself is such a hidden gem, the perfect place to relax and unwind. Fiona and her family always make us feel welcome and the apartment is like a home away from home. We cannot wait to return!

A tastefully furnished property in a delightful location.

It served us well for walking the Wales Coast Path. The floor to ceiling lounge window is the perfect vantage point for watching the ebb and flow of the tide and the comings and goings of the village. We appreciated the local artwork decorating the apartment walls as well as the lovely selection of books, both reference and fiction, based on the locality. The parking space is certainly an advantage and is easily accessed. It was a privilege to be able to stay at Sea View. Many thanks for the welcome gifts.

The main attraction of this property is it's setting above the estuary .

Even when watching TV you are constantly drawn to the amazing panoramic view that lies in front of you .

Four of us stayed over the 2 weeks at Sea View.

We give it a 5 star rating because compared with other places we have stayed this property had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. The lounge/dining/kitchen area was light, airy and had a panoramic view looking over the bay. The kitchen area, although small, was very well equipped and more than adequate. The bathroom had a walk in shower with non slip mat and handrail. Both bedrooms were a good size and comfortable to be in; it is a very quiet location at night. We did not experience any disturbance from the cafe and catering kitchen below. Be aware that the property is reached via a fairly steep internal staircase. The property owner was always available in case of query or problem. Overall it was/is a great location for a holiday whatever the weather.

A charming first floor apartment with the most magnificent view across the Estuary.

Extremely clean, comfortable and very well equipped, also in an ideal location for exploring the local area. In particular, there is an excellent local bus service into Porthmadog with v reliable onward bus and rail connections for exploring further afield. Overall, a fantastic holiday guaranteed in this lovely apartment, together with the warmest of welcomes from the lovely owner and her family. We can’t wait to return!

We loved seeing the different look as the tide went in & out & the changes in weather. It's a view you could never tire of. Sea View is a lovely comfy & clean apartment. Which is what we have come to expect from accomodation booked through Sykes. We enjoyed our stay very much. We met the lovely owner Fiona who made is feel most welcome. Thank you Fiona for the lovely welcome gift of toffee & milk for a cuppa on our arrival. We had a lovely lunch in the Sea View Bistro where the food was really good & the staff extremely helpful & friendly.

We had a wonderful week at Sea View Apartment.

The property was spotless and extremely comfortable - so much so it was a struggle to drag ourselves away from the stunning and ever changing views, to explore the surrounding area! It really is a perfect spot. The owner, Fiona, had thought of everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Furthermore, she was so kind and attentive when my companion had a fall, repeatedly checking up on how he was. We would not hesitate to recommend Sea View Apartment. The icing on the cake - literally - was sampling the goodies in the adjoining bistro!

Fiona and family are lovely hosts. Borth y Gest and the surrounding area is a great place to explore. Beaches are fantastic.

The appartment was one of if not the best we have stayed in, very comfortable, very clean, very relaxing with the best panoramic view in borth y gest, the owner fiona made sure everything was first rate and we were completely happy.

It will be our first choice should we stay in that area again.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at Sea View Apartment in the idyllic Borth-y-Gest.

The apartment is just perfect, with the most spectacular view, no matter what the weather! The accommodation is clean, spacious and well-equipped. The living area is well set out with the sofa and armchairs facing out onto the view, perfect for relaxing! The bedrooms are also a good size with very comfortable beds. Whether you want to stay in the local area (Borth-y-Gest is a short, pleasant walk into neighbouring Porthmadog) or use the apartment as a base for exploring further afield, the apartment is ideally situated for a brilliant holiday in North Wales. The owner, Fiona, is so welcoming and helpful, as are Katie and the rest of the team in the bistro next door. It was a lovely surprise to get the delicious cakes on arrival and we highly recommend the bistro - the food is delicious, plus it also boasts beautiful views and is incredibly convenient too! We highly recommend Sea View Apartment for a relaxing and wonderful holiday and we are already looking forward to our return visit next year!

Everything as usual was to our satisfaction,very comfortable,warm and cosy with a view to die for.

We enjoyed our stay at Sea View, such a gorgeous location with uninterrupted vews overlooking the whole bay and mountains.

We have been going to that area for many years and it hasn't lost it's charm. The apartment is very comfortable and has a very good layout that we like with everything you could need. Parking was never a problem and being above the restaurant/ take away was of no inconvenience. On the contrary it is very convenient to enjoy the views while your food is being prepared for you. and no need to drink and drive, just a a quick trip up the stairs!

Another happy visit to Sea View .

The apartment was spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and cosy ( and the welcoming cakes delicious!) When we arrived the small lights had been left on ,giving the apartment a lovely warm glow . Fiona, the owner , lives nearby, and is always on hand to answer any queries. Hours may be spent simply watching the colours and patterns of the water flowing in the estuary......and all from the comfort of the large armchairs , placed in the picture window. We hope to return in 2024 .

Sea view is comfortable, well equipped in a beautiful position overlooking the sea.

The owners are welcoming and friendly. The Bistro next door is well worth a visit but best to book as it is busy all day. We visited the surrounding areas by car but could have left the car and walked or got the bus. We sat happily watching the view from the sofa. Relaxing place to spend a holiday.

All I can say to sum it up is, idyllic! The licatiin is perfect, the accommodation, perfect, the cleanliness, perfect and the hosts, fantastic! Borth-y-Gest is an idyllic place and Sea View Apartment is the the perfect location within the village. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous position for touring N Wales, such a comfortable well equipped apartment, and it is a pleasure seeing Fiona, Katie and Henry who are the owners and always available.

We love to go to escape the stresses of normal life. The little harbour to town of Porth Madog is a 20 min. walk away. There is a golf course and Black Rock sands a short drive away. If you don't want to cook try Henry's delicious food which is cooked in the bistro right below you. Wendy and Peter May 23.

My partner and me stayed at Sea View for the week at Easter.

The weather was not great but the views from the apartment were spectacular with the mountains in the back ground with the sun rises and sunsets as well as the birds calling could not get better. Sea View apartment had everything we needed and Fiona the owner also made us welcome. This is one if the best holidays we have had.

Seaview exceeded our expectations.

The view was one that you just couldn't take your eyes off - great for watching the ever changing sea and landscape. Seaview was well equipped, warm and cosy. The owners were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. What more could you ask for? We were sad to leave so we will definitely return.

What a wonderful apartment !

So peaceful. There was so much to watch from the comfortable chairs, placed in the large window, overlooking the ever changing estuary up to the hills beyond . Sea View was warm and cosy , despite the very low temperatures and biting wind outside . It was light and comfortable, especially the super kingsize bed . The owners were friendly and thoughtful ( and someone made delicious cakes!) Ses View is certainly a place to revisit .

We had a lovely stay in sea view apartment.

The views from the windows was for ever changing over the mountains on on the bay. Lovely walks to the beach. Stunning area and not far from Shops and pubs . We have booked to go back next year we loved it that much. Fiona, Katie were so welcoming. Bistro had a selection of nice meals . Lovely view when your enjoying a meal .

A lovely comfortable apartment with a beautiful sea view.

The owner had thoughtfully provided 2 tower fans as the temperature hit record figures. Another nice touch was the sweet treats on arrival. Fiona and her daughter were very friendly and a problem with an appliance was sorted very speedily. The location is perfect to visit other areas but the beaches by Borthy Gest take some beating. Would highly recommend.

WE had a wonderful week in the Sea View Apartment.

Our host was so helpful throughout, I particularly appreciated the help given on arrival with my luggage. The apartment is so comfortable with everything you need provided. I already knew Borth-y-Gest, having stayed in the property next door but one regularly, in the late 60s and early 70s.I was still stunned by the view from the apartment. I had problems with the hob, Fiona looked at it immediately. I look forward to staying at the apartment again.

We would have liked a freezer compartment in the fridge.

We needed a step to be able to reach into the kitchen cupboards properly. The yard outside needs to be tidied up as the view from the master bedroom was an eyesore. The TV did not have all the Freeview Channels eg Sky Arts & Drama so we were a bit disappointed. These are niggles & did not take away from the overall satisfaction with the letting.

Fantastic communication from the owner.

All my texted questions were answered straight away. Good flexibility in arrival time. The flat was clean, very well equipped and everything was clearly labelled. The little things were provided too, such as kitchen roll, waste bags, hot water bottles, torch, hairdryer and a whole range of cooking utensils. The view from the lounge window, overlooking the bay, was stupendous. We enjoyed watching the wading birds from there, and we could even see Portmeirion's lighthouse. The bed was very comfortable and the added bedspread was welcomed in the cold. During Storm Franklin, we did find the bedroom window draughty, so we kept the blinds and curtains closed. There was a heater available, but we didn't need it. The flat is above the bistro takeaway, which creates some noise, but this is largely during the day, so is not too intrusive: it generally closes no later than 7:30pm. The takeaway was serving some delicious ice cream - especially the rhubarb & custard flavour. We had a fabulous stay, the owners were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We felt this accommodation was was just perfect; - a great way to celebrate my 'significant' birthday. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Wonderfully comfortable, ideally positioned property with a fantastic, ever changing, view.

The view from the lounge window was to die for!

It was a continually changing picture across the bay, due to the tides and weather. We thought we had seen most places in north Wales but Borth-y Gest turned out to be a little gem with quiet hidden beaches right on your door step. We took advantage of the take away food service down stairs several times, which was delivered to your door and was delicious.

Ideally situated overlooking the bay of Borth-y-Gest, this is a beautiful holiday apartment.

Bedrooms and lounge are a nice size, kitchen a little small but adequate. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and we had the added bonus of picking up morning coffee and ice-creams from the bistro takeaway downstairs. Also enjoyed a takeaway lunch and dinner from the bistro. Would definitely recommend and would go back to stay again.

The best recommendation !! The view of Borth y Gest beach is fantastic and you always feel connected to the happy holiday vibe of the bay. The owner is nearby and very helpful and the Bistro cafe below is temptingly good and definitely recommended!

We found the apartment very comfortable.

The added bonus was that we could order food and drink from the bistro below and it was delivered to our door! The owner greeted us on the first day and was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely flat but didn't realise that one had to go through the bistro for access until we received the key instructions a day or two before.

Could do with a small freezer.

The apartment was more spacious than the pictures indicated, it is better than when the photos were taken with a new induction hob and glass dining table with padded chairs.

It was very well laid out, wherever you were you got the fantastic view, the dining area, the kitchenette, the lounge seating.We loved having meals delivered, ready to eat from the Bistro below. The team there were very helpful and considerate.I loved to just get up and go for an early walk along the coastal path, each day a little different with the changing of the tide and the clouds on the mountains, it is a truly beautiful place.We were able to park outside, the bed was very comfy and the decor very tasteful.

The position of the property was superb.

Handily placed for walking into Porthmadog and along the coastal path. Wonderful view over the bay from lounge bay window. Borth-y-Gest is a really relaxing place benefitting from free on street parking and a local bus service. It is convenient for touring this part of Wales and experiencing the narrow gauge railways and stunning coastal scenery. We did a lot of walking but also visited Barmouth, Caernavon, Aberdaron, Beddgelert and Criccieth all of which had their individual attractions

We loved Borth y Gest.

We had visited a few years ago after being recommended by the lovely lady in the tourist information office in Porthmadog. It was a perfect place to explore North Wales. It was however very hard to leave the sofa as the views were stunning across the water and ever changing. Fiona, the owner was wonderfully lovely and helpful as were the staff in the Bistro downstairs. The flat was perfect and we shall definitely return!

Well maintained and clean. The owner was there to meet us on arrival and made us very welcome. As stated in the details the entrance is through the Bistro which for some may be a problem but has the advantage of coffee, cakes, cooked breakfast and lunches on tap. Fiona kindly left cakes and supplies for a drink on arrival. The view from the apartment is amazing! We really enjoyed our few days in Borth Y Gest. Thankyou
