Gwel Eryri

We had a lovely break at Gwel Eryri.

The caravan is set within beautiful grounds and is very peaceful. The owner is a lovely lady who is there to help if needed. There is a private field for sports and football if you have kids. You are only a short drive from some stunning destinations. Beaumaris, a beautiful coastal village, is highly recommended. Caernarfon Castle is another must see. We also visited the hidden gardens which was within a 10 minute drive and a great day out. All in all, we loved our break away and can recommend Gwel Eryri without hesitation. If you love a nice quiet, relaxed setting then this place is perfect.

Nice caravan with views of the snowdonia mountain range.

The location is good, for exploring Anglesey, north Wales, Llwyn peninsula, Llandudno,etc. The host was friendly and responsive. We would stay there again. Andy/Jess

We booked this place last year and made the owner aware of some issues with the facilities and what was missing to make are last stay a better experience, but we came again this year and there has been no improvement to the facilities as they are the same as they where last year, the best bit it had a area for are kid tplilo play safe will not be attending is place again.

The caravan is spotlessly clean and comfortable, it is quiet and peaceful with pleasant surroundings. Local shopping facilities are just a few minutes away, and the road network gives easy access to all areas of Anglesey from this point.

Property was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the location was perfect.

The views were stunning. Nerys and John ( the owners ) greeted us as we arrived- explained a few things about how to use the heating etc - not that we needed it, the weather was fabulous! There was also 3 cottages for rent on the property. Perfect base for travelling around Anglesey. We will definitely be returning.

We had an extended stay in February 26 due to family circumstances.

How pleasantly surprised we were to arrive at such a delightful setting, a peaceful retreat! Unlike usual caravan sites, this stands alone amongst a country estate. The caravan is extremely welcoming, just like home from home, a large spacious modern equipped kitchen, and a very comfortable sitting area. 2 bedrooms with more than adequate storage and 2 bathrooms. A central heating system throughout which keeps it warm and cozy. A lovely outlook from all windows too. The hosts Nerys and John are friendly and helpful, always on hand if you need anything. We will most definitely be back !

We had an amazing stay, exactly what we needed.

The plot is on the families estate which is no issue. The location is perfect to travel out and explore Anglesey. The plot is right next to the 55 so can be a little noisy but overall a great stay and would recommend.

Lovely lodge, But duvets on beds were very thin which made it cold when trying to sleep.

This was our second stay at Gwel Eryri and it was as enjoyable as the first.

Clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. What more can one want? We hope to be back again soon for stay number three.

The caravan was lovely.

But the oven wouldn't work. And the kettle kept turning off. And the shower head kept falling off .

Perfect place to stay, quiet but close enough to explore the island and surrounding areas.

Myself husband and granddaughter have just had the most wonderful week staying at gwel eryri.

The owners can not do enough for you very pleasant and friendly people also the lady who helps them was a lovely lady . Nothing too much trouble. The van was extremely well equipped even some nice cosy throws to keep you cosy when it turns a bit chilly . Would definitely stay again maybe even choose one of the beautiful accessible cottages . As hubby has mobility issues thank you so much .

A nice airy static caravan which was very clean with the owner living on site.

This was a lovely property in a pretty and quiet setting .

The lodge was very comfortable and spotlessly clean . Nerys and John were very friendly and there if needed . Would definitely recommend .

Great place to see the island most beaches are within easy reach would like to have stayed longer than the Monday to Friday the chalet was lovely and clean only problem there are no kerbs walking down to llanfairpg

Nice clean and comfortable accommodation.

Gwel eryie Is not a Lodge it is a large caravan Also it is not new as described.

The curtain rails were rusty making them difficult to close.also rusty fitments in bathroom. Artificial grass on decking too wet to enjoy sitting outside even on a sunny day. Shower not working (taken away before we arrived) in main bedroom. No visitors book to leave comments.

Great long weekend.

We couldn't of picked a better weekend with the weather. The property is in a great location to get to many places on the island. Childrens play area and football nets were an added bonus. Thank you for a lovely stay

Lovely clean accommodation in a beautiful setting close to the attractions/beaches on Anglesey

Beautiful setting and a perfect base for our holiday.

Our girls (3yos) loved the play area right outside the caravan and we were minutes away from the Sea Zoo, Pili Palas, Beaumaris, Rhosneigr and the beach! The cooking facilities all work (!) which isn't always the case in caravans. We managed to cook every night. The WiFi and the TV were also perfect, no lost signal etc despite storm Betty and her 50mph winds. Would recommend to anyone and will stay again. 5 stars.
