1 Customer Review

  • "Great property for a large group."

Good base for exploring this part of Wales. Lots of extras that were not on the listing eg, coffee machine, welcome basket. Host very responsive and helpful. Couldn’t park 3 cars on the drive, admittedly we have a large car, but there is parking close by so it wasn’t a problem.

The property

Resting paces away from the beach in the coastal town of Colwyn Bay in Conwy is The Bookcase.

The idyllic, terraced house welcomes up to twenty guests in eight spacious bedrooms and benefits from a private parking for three cars, a rarity in this coastal town, a rear enclosed garden with hot tub and close location to the beach; ideal for families and friends seeking a seascape.

Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and settle down in front of the Smart TV in the sitting room while the designated chef whips up a tasty meal in the fully-equipped kitchen.

Gather the family in the spacious dining room and tuck in before stepping outside for a soothing soak in the hot tub while the kids take advantage of the cinema room or outdoor play area.

When the sky darkens, wash off the day’s adventures in the shower rooms on each floor, then climb the stairs for some much-needed rest.

The first floor houses two king-sizes with sofa beds, a double and a child bunk, on the second floor there is a super-king-size and two doubles, all furnished with plenty of storage for your belongings.

The Bookcase lies at the heart of Colwyn Bay, pack up all your beach essentials and take a short walk to Colwyn Bay beach where you can indulge in a spot of sunbathing while the kids splash in the sea; the more adventurous among you can try your hand at paddle boarding or surfing.

Treat your loved ones to a special meal at The Toad, a gastropub with stunning views across the sea, or celebrate your getaway with evening drinks at Sheldon Wine Bar or the Corner House.

Spend the day at Welsh Mountain Zoo which houses rare animals including tigers, snow leopards and red pandas or head into Llandudno to take evening strolls along the pier or the cable car to the summit of Great Orme where you can marvel at the views across North Wales.

Explore the wonders of North Wales with The Bookcase as your base.
