Tal Eryr

We were delighted with most aspects of this cottage.

The pictures and description did not do justice to the really awesome sea views, from the living room in particular. From the cottage, we were able to watch dolphins (through binoculars) on three occasions during our week long stay. The proximity to the beach was also fantastic (a few minutes easy walk down a track), with lots of opportunities for children (and adults) to find interesting pebbles as well as enjoy the stunning backdrop of the surrounding hills. We were also pleasantly surprised by how spacious the kitchen/diner and living room were: loads of room for our family. Easy to prep meals in the kitchen, with large cooker, plenty of fridge and freezer space etc . A separate utility with laundry facilities was also handy. We also appreciated the welcome basket: lovely to be provided with the necessary ingredients for a cup of tea after a long drive! Our only complaint would be the comfort of some of the beds: some mattresses had lumpy springs which impacted our sleep. If better quality mattresses could be installed, this property would be a 10/10 for us. Even with this issue, we would likely book again because in every other way, this property made for a great holiday.

Shower upstairs we couldn’t get to work. Didn’t spoil the holiday though had a wonderful time. Excellent location we were left a welcome basket which was very thoughtful. Thank you

Spacious property. Secluded, peaceful. Fantastic sea view, brooding mountains at the rear. Great big, secure garden for the dog. A virtually private beach in a spectacular bay just five minutes from the garden (a few cobble-sized stones to negotiate at first tho to get on the beach). Open fire in the evening, or a movie in the lovely big lounge. Sort of place you would come to finish a book - or the sort of place an old children's book would be about. All of us were sad to leave, including the dog. You need a car to get anywhere - there are no amenities close by, but that wasn't an issue. We would highly recommend this place for a chill holiday. There are a few ace places to find around and about, if you look, and interesting places within driving distance. One or two things need a touch of maintenance - but nothing to spoil the experience.

What a fantastic week we had at Tal Eryr!

The perfect location, hidden away with a 5 min walk down a woodland path from the huge enclosed garden directly to the beach. Wonderful sea views and the sunsets were stunning. Couple of little hiccups but Stewart the owner was very responsive in getting things sorted. The downstairs bedrooms aren't great yet, but it's a work in progress and the upstairs beds were beautifully comfortable. Great kitchen , well equipped with everything we needed - even knives that worked which certainly isn't the case in all holiday lets! Great garden furniture , barbecue and fire pit, all of which we were lucky enough to use because the weather was exceptional. Great location for Snowdonia, Anglesey and of course the Llyn Peninsula. Most remarkable was the best and most generous welcome pack we've ever seen, it was almost a week's essentials, including lager and prosecco. Fantastic, thanks again Stewart

We had a wonderful stay at Tal Eryr.

The house was lovely and spacious enough for all ten of us, with great sized bedrooms that made everyone feel comfortable. The beds were comfortable and and the warm bedding was perfect for the chilly nights. One of our favourite things was how close the beach was, just a beautiful two-minute walk away. The ocean views from the sitting room were stunning, and we really enjoyed spending time there playing games together and relaxing. It was a truly memorable getaway in a peaceful and scenic setting. Thank you for having us!
