What guests are saying
The property is in walking distance of cafe Swellies overlooking quay, which is interesting & lovely in summer, warm days as you can sit outside.
The nearest pub is approx half mile & well worth a visit overlooking Menai strait. The property overall was situated in a quiet well looked after maintained estate. Ample safe parking. There are steps down to the property, which are difficult to use as quute deep especially when offloading luggage. Not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties etc. The decor of property was warm & pleasant to the eye. Light & bright pastel colours. The large openplan dining room kitchen & lounge was lovely especially with views from lounge sliding door(heavy & difficult to lock) windows onto large balcony overlooking the Menai strait, which makes the property, whatever the weather. There was only a small coffee table & chairs on large balcony. No lounging chairs. Inside the property there were bare walls where there were hooks for pictures but no pictures. Shelving with few ornaments. Comfortable double & triple settes situated to either look at large TV or views of strait/waterway & nature, but no where to rest your feet/legs after walks etc. The kitchen had ample cutlery/crockery etc but not enough smaller frying pan or saucepans. I had to use wok(scratched from use) as only other pan was massive, paela pan & heavy. No light over hob on cooker hood needs light bulb. Down stairs the bedrooms are a double & twin with room for ample storage & wardrobe in dbl room. The lighting in main bedroom was obscured by large lampshade. No lighting above mirror of dressing table, wrongly situated in corner as shaded by wardrobe. Main bedroom smelt musty & had to leave door/window open to get rid of smell & put heating on to eradicate musty smell. Bathroom rather small no windows so had to have extractor fan on, which was noisy. Mirror light didn't work. Shower curtain didn't stop water spraying onto floor & sink. Overall the property had maintenance issues. However, it was clean & tidy. If maintenance etc dealt with a worthwhile place to stay.
Had a great holiday, the place we stayed at was great, and the views from the upstairs was out of this world, you could sit there all day and watch the world go by
A very comfortable house with everything we needed and a spectacular view over the Menai Straits.
Ideal location for exploring Anglesey, Snowdonia and N Wales coast.
