    The kitchen table became the focus of holiday for meals, chatting and playing games. The conservatory was lovely to sit at any time day and watch the birds. We even fitted in a bbq, happy days

  • "I suppose I should have studied the photos more closely."

    My wife and daughter wanted to go home the first night. The decor was from another era. In 10 years it'll be a museum. There was plenty of space. Plenty of good points like large dishwasher, washing machine fridge in kitchen AND large fridge freezer in utility room, but both toilets were downstairs. Huge garden. TRUELY dog friendly property. He could not escape. The photos are out of date. The second lounge was locked and currently being used by the owners!!!!! The owners were very friendly throughout our stay and that was nice. It reminded me of my grandmas house in a good and bad way. Homely and cosy, but needs a professional deep clean . Spiders and cobwebs all over the ceiling beams. Dirty windows. Dirty showers. Toilets not clean. Dirt all over light shades in the kitchen. In the hottest week of the year, the AGA stove was pushing out heat!!!!! No washing up liquid. No milk in the fridge, nothing of anything to impress you, as you first step into the property. ( in fact we found it comical that there was a sign in the entrance way that said " No felt tips in the house". What ?! Then we realised that tge older owners must have had a bad experience with a young family drawing on the kitchen table or something. This is my honest rating. I would rate it at £50/night in this condition, not £100.

  • "Amazing, best holiday we have ever had."

    5 stars just isn't enough. The cottage was beautiful, really clean, full of history and had everything we needed. Bryn was an excellent host nothing was to much trouble. If we needed anything he was there and sorted it out straight away. He truly is one of the most loveliest people we have ever met. We visted so many places, like snowdon, Porthmadog, snowdon waterfall, Harlech beach and Pwllheli but there is so much more to see so we will definitely be back again next year.

  • "We loved our week at Dalar Cottage."

    Our hosts Bryn and Ann were absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and so much fun and very friendly. Spectacular spot with wonderful views. Everything you could need in the cottage. Bryn came and remade the open fire every day if we needed it. Very cosy with the kitchen range to warm yourself by after a damp doggy walk and to hang your clothes and towels up above with a lovely old fashioned pully airer. Bed so comfy with electric blanket for chillier nights. Dogs made very welcome and superb fully enclosed garden. Easy to walk round the village and find hidden footpaths and so close to wonderful beaches,by car, for longer dog walks. Perfect. Came in November...will hopefully return in spring or summer.

    Five adults three dogs best holiday this year the owners were brilliant his wife and Bryn . Secure garden for the dogs quirky features in the property great kitchen lovely and warm especially with the cold nights wouldn’t hesitate at all going back great place great owners thanks from Mike and Annie and family.

  • "The property is set in a small village with wonderful walks all around."

    The garden was fully enclosed to the rear which was fantastic for our GSD to run free. The owner is on site to attend to any of our needs and was extremely friendly and respectful of our privacy. A wonderful relaxing break in a stunning location

    The garden is fab for dogs and totally enclosed. The cottage is cosy and had everything we needed. There are lots of walks straight from the doorstep. It is also central to visit Porthmadog, Criccieth and other lovely places. I would totally recommend if you have dogs and you enjoy a cosy cottage.

  • "We had a fantastic week at dalar cottage, the garden was totally safe and secure for our 3 dogs and 2 small children."

    the surrounding countryside was so beautiful and peaceful, it was a joy to sit in the conservatory.the cottage was well equipped, cosy and pretty, we loved all the paintings of snowdonia, the utility room was really useful additional space and the country kitchen lovely for family meals. we would recommend a walk up craig y garn behind the cottage, photo directions in the cottage. we had brilliant beach days out at criccieth, black rock sands, barmouth and enjoyed trips into snowdonia mountain scenery.

    Bryn and Ann were very nice. Our kids loved running around in the garden. Nice walks from the house and 15 minutes drive from the beach. Nearby dogs barking could get irritating, but it wasn’t too bad for our short stay.

Dalar Cottage is a traditional, detached home located in Garndolbenmaen near Criccieth, showcasing stunning views in the breathtaking Eryri National Park (Snowdonia).

This former farmhouse sleeps up to six people who are searching for an escape to the countryside of Wales with family, friends, and your four legged companions.

You are welcomed by a homely sitting room to the left of you, with a toasty open fire and a Smart TV.

Whilst the snug is on offer to the door through to the right of you, which has a sofa bed, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements.

Start your day with a refreshing shower or a leisurely soak—with both a bathroom and a shower room, there's plenty of space to avoid the morning rush.

A bright conservatory invites you in to sit back and relax to enjoy the scenery from the enclosed garden, which has a barbecue for any cooks ready to take on the challenge.

Moving upstairs, there are three well-presented bedrooms, including two doubles and a twin, for you to pick from.

For a bite to eat or a relaxed evening out, The Goat Inn is nearby, with a shop also just a short drive away for essentials.

Dalar Cottage is surrounded by picturesque landscape but is also close to a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the Prince of Wales Slate Quarries.

It is also close to Porthmadog, which has Harlech Castle to take your breath away.

As well as this, the option of a day at the beach at Black Rock Sands awaits for you to enjoy the holiday feeling of some sand in-between your toes with the tender breeze from the waves complimenting the seaside activities.

More easy access to the sea is in Criccieth as it is another short drive away from the beach with the chance also to go kayaking along the coast and perhaps grab some yummy food at Dylan's Criccieth.

Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, now known as Eryri, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th-century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Eryri mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Eryri National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream.
