Description
In the tranquil area of the Welsh community of Waunfawr, Gwynedd, is this well decorated standalone stone cottage.
Beech Tree Cottage is a fantastic option all year round because it is conveniently located between the ocean and the breathtaking beauty of the Snowdonia National Park.
As soon as you enter the roomy living/dining area, you'll notice the cosy atmosphere, complete with soft furniture and a seductive wood-burning stove, which is ideal for catching up and socialising with the group.
Enter the kitchen, which has everything you need for a quick break, including a dishwasher so you won't have to do the dishes by hand.
The bedrooms feature two twin beds that are ideal for kids and a double with an en suite shower.
Spend the day in the bathroom, where you have the option of taking a bath with a shower attachment to best prepare for the day.
When you're ready to go exploring, Waunfawr has a store and a welcoming bar that serves cuisine, enjoying spectacular panoramic views over Anglesey and the Irish Sea.
From the location, hikers can ascend the Mynyndd Mawr and Moel Elio mountains for walking, and the most daring can even ascend Snowdon by foot.
There are stunning castles etc to explore- Caernarfon, Beaumaris, Conwy, Criccieth, and Harlech all withing an hour's drive of the property, as well as National Trust Properties and lovely beaches on the Isle of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula.
Visit Bangor, which has a lively main street, while the Isle of Anglesey is a little farther away and has a lot of beautiful landscape.
A peaceful visit is guaranteed at Beech Tree Cottage at any time of year.

What guests are saying
Whilst the views and location were stunning, the property interior fixtures and fittings are now dated and in need of a revamp.
On first look the property looked clean, however we had to spend some time going round cleaning lots of cobwebs and dirt. The dryer was a fire hazard and was crammed with fluff that we cleared out. We moved a couple of bedside tables to put two of the single beds together and there was thick dust and cobwebs and it was clear nothing had been cleaned behind for months. This could be a perfect get away, but we just wouldn’t go again due to the level of cleanliness and the need to be modernised, the window in the large upstairs room also blew a gale through and was unable to sleep in there on windy nights, was also cool and the heater in the room insufficient.
It is a beautifully located cottage and extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for self catering.
We wanted somewhere private and away from all the hustle and bustle in the mornings/evenings but also not too far from local places we wanted to visit. I would recommend this cottage for a perfect getaway in North Wales.
We all loved it here, secure garden for our dogs, lovely scenery, peaceful.
Will be back, thank you ❤️
