"House was lovely."
Kitchen and living room excellent.
Loft rooms unsuitable for adults.
Spiral staircase dangerous for adults and children.
Beams by stairs too easy to hit head on. Would be safer if stairs were changed.
Main bathroom shower needs non slip mat.
Ideally a third toilet.
Outside area lovely.
Sign for property on road would be useful.
Overall a good stay. Well supplied with necessities.

"The property was a lovely building and rooms as expected and advertised."
The garden a wildlife delight, getting a glimpse of birds and red squirrel was a highlight.
Some extra attention needed to detail in preparation for guests arrival including loose door hinge on kitchen/hall door, the dishwasher didn't do an effective first wash for us and we discovered it was blocked with broken glass and needed cleaning out, once we did this it worked fine for the rest of our stay. Unfortunately for us the oven stopped working on day 3, and despite reporting and being assured it would be responded to, a further call needed to be made by us to follow up when this did not occur, quite an inconvenience when self catering for 9 people.
Despite the above, the array of appliances available to use, the adequate seating options etc made it a comfortable stay.

"A wonderful house for exploring Anglesey or simply relaxing in the garden."
We had a fantastic long weekend with nine friends, plenty of comfortable beds meant everyone slept well, and we made great memories in the beautiful communal spaces. Red Wharf Bay, Cynlas Beach, and Beaumaris town centre made for lovely day trips, with highlights including scenic hikes, fish and chips, cosy pubs, relaxing on the beach, and swimming in the sea. The barbecue and well-equipped kitchen made it a pleasure to prepare and enjoy wholesome meals together, and the garden was the perfect spot to unwind between activities, the surrounding trees offer a brilliant windbreak, making it feel roasting when the sun's out. A truly memorable weekend away - we'll definitely be back!

"We are a group of 5 retired ladies on a long weekend get together at Plas Elyn."
The house had everything we needed including, warmth, coziness, high standard fixtures and fittings, comfy beds, fabulous views from the upstairs lounge and the garden and an ideal location for exploring by car.
The loft rooms are accessed by a small spiral staircase which may be an issue for young children or those less spritely than they used to be. For us, the only issue was the low beam at the top of the staircase which one of the party managed to bang her head on on the way down. Fortunately no serious damage done to either the head or the beam!
Thank you to the owners for the two bottles of wine- they were appreciated!
We all agreed it was a lovely house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We hope you enjoyed the new kitchen installed just before your stay and will visit again. It is our favourite Wine Society tipple too.

"Great place to stay."
Great views. Lovely neighbours. Everything you could wish for in the house. They've done a great job...and we would definitely book again. We used the house for a team retreat, and it worked super well. The living room upstairs was great for presentations and games. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy. Everyone had a great time!

"Plas Elyn was lovely and clean, the beds were really comfortable, the view across the Menai strait was beautiful."
Loved watching the red squirrels in the garden and all the birds. Had a relaxed homely feel. Garden was secure so I did not worry letting the dog out first thing in the morning and last thing at night. An exercise area for the dogs without walking the rural roads would help but not a problem as they had plenty of exercise on the beaches and hills during the day.
Could not find the fire starter set, it would have been lovely to have a fire on the wet day
Had a great stay and would love to stay again
We are delighted that you enjoyed your week at Plas Elyn and look forward to welcoming you back. It is good to hear that the red squirrels are about. We are sorry that you couldn’t find the fire lighters etc. and will make sure that they are left out for the next guests.

"A great house in a secluded location not far from the fantastic town of Beaumaris."
Plenty to do and see on Anglesey and across the Menai in Wales. The house was well presented, well equipped, good value and has some great living spaces. We were only a party of 4, so had space to spare. I can understand the comments about bathrooms per person for 10 guests but it is clearly stated in the details.

"We had very enjoyable week in Plas Elyn helped by the beautiful weather."
The property is well equipped particularly the kitchen. The decor throughout was lovely with interesting artwork ,books and fabrics
Because of the good weather we were able to make full use of the pleasant garden. The criticism of the accommodation is that the number of bathrooms is inadequate for 10 guests especially as one shower room is small and en suite. It would be helpful to install a toilet and wash basin in the utility area .There are no facilities for the two rooms on the third floor and access to the bathroom is down a difficult spiral staircase.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed your week at Plas Elyn.
We understand your comments on the number of bathrooms. We considered this issue when we bought and renovated Plas Elyn. Having taken advice, we concluded that unfortunately it was not practicable to install a further bathroom upstairs, as this would involve the loss of a bedroom, or in the utility room, due to plumbing issues.

"We were, initially, very excited upon entering Plas Elyn."
You can tell that the owners spent a lot of time and money doing the place up. I really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and sitting in the dining room with a cosy blanket when it became chilly. The house has an amazing view and despite incredibly grumpy neighbours (actually, the woman not the man) we were very happy to be there. Unfortunately, there were a few things that were things with the house that caused real concern, which led us to think that either the current owners were duped when they purchased the house, or its on them. - The main room smelt of damp - there is definitely a leak in the house. The sooner they address this, the better for all concerned. - The boiler stopped working at least x4 times that we know of. As above re fixing - The stairs to the living area are unsafe - The radiator in the bedroom with the en-suite, never came on (this is where my mother-in-law was sleeping, so not good). In addition to that, the housekeepers forgot to leave towels in the loft rooms, and we were unable to use one of the loft rooms, because the carpet was soaking due to a previous guest. We could absolutely cope with the last two issues, however the heating/no hot water x4 times and the issue with the stairs left us very concerned with this property. I would hope the owners have the conscience to resolve our biggest concerns ASAP before someone really gets hurt. Kind regards Tina
Thank you for your feedback.
We apologise for the problems with the boiler. Unfortunately, there was a leak in the system that took some time to locate. This boiler is now fully functional and your complaint on this issue has been resolved. On the other issues that you raised:
The stairs are safe. You are the only guest that has ever raised any concerns about them.
The housekeepers leave out sufficient towels for the number of guests on the booking form – in your case 3 adults and 2 children. If you had extra people staying then you should have notified the agent. We do not provide beach towels.
There was no problem with the loft bedroom carpet when the housekeepers were in shortly before your arrival.
You say the neighbours were “grumpy”. This should be put into context. We understand you blocked the neighbours’ car in on a number of occasions. You brought two large vans, which you declined to park in the parking bay 20 metres up the private lane, and several cars visited during the week. The occupant of one of these vehicles threw a sandwich out of the window onto our neighbours’ property in front of them. When challenged, the gentleman did not apologise but turned his back and said “it’s for the birds.
