The Sail Loft was beautifully decorated with the lovely seaside theme.

Beautiful location. Huge garden just right for Bailey the dog. Lots of local information on hand. Owners very pleasant - even took me to the local for a drink. Would definitely go back.

  • "All as described."

High quality living space. The location, on the crest of a hill is spectacular, with views to both Llyn coasts. The local people are very friendly and willing to advise on local walks and facilities. The garden area is also thoughtfully maintained, with appropriate regard to ecological interests.

  • "We loved the location as it was easy to get to all the beautiful places on the Llyn Peninsula."

The property was spacious and light however with just a couple of additions it could be so be so much better for guests mainly the kitchen area. There's absolutely no worktop space to prepare or put anything. Any flat surfaces are taken up with lovely (and expensive) ornaments but there's just way too many and they dont have any use. Coat hooks in the hall would be a nice touch along with a few more knives and forks in order to make and eat a meal. The garden is a large meadow but not enclosed and the patio isnt private which is stated on the description. The patio area is overlooked by the friendly owners and their dog as the accommodation was, up until a few years ago, the garage to their house. The sea views which are mentioned are quite hard to see as you have to look over another neighbours garden but the sunset is a real bonus! If the owners ever decide to make the few changes, particularly with regards to the kitchen, then we would definitely go back!

Everything you need is there to make your stay comfortable. Very clean, with a welcome pack which we thought was a nice touch. On a clear day the views were stunning, our stay was so nice we didn’t want to leave. Would definitely recommend if you are a couple who want to get away from it all.

  • "What a fabulous break, the most relaxed I’ve been in years."

Lovely view from the huge glass window and patio. Surrounded by fields, peaceful and quiet. Lambs in the fields across were an added bonus, what a beautiful sight. The cottage itself is well presented, with a large comfy bed and the log fire is heavenly. We took provisions so we could at least have a cup of tea when we arrived, but there were tea bags, coffee, sugar, a bag of fresh ground coffee, milk, muesli, a loaf of bread, some Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine - what a lovely treat! Peter was about to great us, and kind enough to lend my husband a jacket, as he’d forgotten to take his own, in March. The hosts then made themselves scarce. Larry the dog was a sweetheart too. It was not too far to the beach and we walked there every day, it’s breathtaking. The whole peninsula was an outdoor lovers haven. We’ve recommended the Sail Loft to family and friends. And despite normally being someone who never goes to the same place twice, I’ve book at the Sail Loft later in the year, which I think speaks volumes about how much we loved it.

  • "Lovely little dog friendly retreat situated above Nefyn ."

Had a great short break although a lot of the cafes etc had closed down for winter. Plenty of stunning deserted beaches for long walks more than made up for this. The cooking pod had 4 rings , a microwave and we had toast and crumpets made on the wood burner . Perfect . The bathroom was a delight after a day out with hot water on demand .

  • "100% would book The Sail Loft again!"

A great little place in a very quiet spot up the hill from the centre of Nefyn. We sadly didn't get good weather so spent more time inside than we'd have liked so a comfy sofa would have been an added bonus. A lovely welcome with a bottle of wine and Barra Brith (my favourite). If you intend on eating in you might want to take a few extra like a bigger frying pan, another saucepan and a good sharp knife. We had lots of things from camping the week previously so managed fine. It's clean, the bed is comfortable and the shower is fabulous. Plenty of very hot water! This a great year round retreat and base for your Welsh trip. Good walking routes on the doorstep, patio for sitting out and a log burning fire for cosy nights. Lovely friendly owners with a gorgeous labrador called Larry. We'll be back!

  • "We stayed for 3 nights with our dog and loved the bright, airy feel of the place."

The dog loved all the outside space while we sat enjoying sunny evenings on the patio. Great walking to be had with Mount Nefyn and incredible views just a short walk away, and the coastal path to take you as far down the peninsula as you like. I didn't find the layout of the kitchen/diner/lounge very effective - preparing meals was a bit of a juggling act and the furniture was not very comfortable or welcoming. But for 3 nights it was fine. The bed was wonderfully big and comfortable. The fridge was not working when we arrived but the owners were quick to contact the neighbour who could let us into the main cottage to use that fridge. So it was a little inconvenient but at least quickly sorted.

  • "Lovely property!"

I stayed at the Sail Loft with my dog & it was perfect for us. Spotlessly clean & nice design touches. Extremely comfortable and lovely outside space. The only thing that I would slightly disagree with in the description is the journey to the shops & beach. Its a very steep road only the width of one car. It would take about 45 minutes to get to the shop on foot and much longer to the beach however this wasn't a problem for me as I preferred to go by car.

Very modern and furnishings and decorations for the cottage were lovely. Peter and Alison helped us with all our queries so were fab hosts. Not too far to walk into the centre of Nefyn either from the cottage. We had a great week there! Our only feedback would be as it was a dog friendly cottage, if there could be a gate on the property as when in the garden the dog could run to the road if they wanted. Our dog was fine with staying with us, but just for extra peace of mind and would then give it a 10/10!
