  • "We had a lovely week in the cottage."

The weather was amazing and we were able to relax and enjoy the lovely garden and BBQ area. It was nice to be able to sit in the garden and see the sea in the distance. Our dog was able to safely explore the big garden, it all felt safe and secure. The cottage was ideally placed to visit lots of different beaches. We enjoyed being so close to the beach and being able to walk down in the evenings. The cottage was perfect and had everything we needed, was clean and cosy. We will definitely return! Thank you for a lovely holiday.

  • "Cottage in great location and very private."

The gardens are wonderful and dog safe. The bed was a tight squeeze but comfortable. I loved it all, especially the spacious bathroom. The kitchen however was very small but gave me a good reason to eat out each evening. There's a great walk from the cottage to a quiet beach. Would definitely stay again.

  • "Location was super and the property was comfortable we loved the quirky bathroom there was fantastic outside space which had amazing views and we were able to spend a lot of time eating and relaxing outside."

However, it was apparent that the bbq had not been cleaned for some time and there were dirty glasses put back in the kitchen cupboard. Other reviews mentioned the mattress in the main room upstairs and I have to agree it wasnt great quality and the bed itself didnt fit the space very well. Nothing to do with the cottage but I feel I must also comment on the check in/out times that Menai Holidays specify on their site 5pm is far too late, particularly on a Saturday. We also were told the property was available for the Friday evening but were quoted £160 which was extortionate for 1 night and yet even though the property was empty we weren't offered an earlier check in time which could of been very handy. 9am check out is too early and it does impact the final day of your break when packing and tidying with children and a dog. We have booked with yourselves before and check in times were much better.

  • "Just returned home from one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had."

The cottage is very old and quirky but was extremely well equipped, clean and comfortable. We were lucky to have had a full week of dry weather so were able to use the beautiful garden every day, with wonderful views of the sea and the hills. Llyn Peninsula is absolutely stunning and we visited lots of gorgeous quiet beaches, all only a short drive from the cottage. Would highly recommend and would love to return in the future.

  • "A well positioned cottage, ideal as a touring base for NW Wales with its lovely beaches and plenty of holiday activities."

The cottage is well maintained, with ample parking and, importantly for us, a secure garden and front area for our dog to roam freely. The positives of the property are many and far outweigh the negatives - and are listed in the holiday advert. The negatives are minimal - the paving in the immediate area around the cottage grounds and steps up to the garden are uneven. The routes to the rear garden would benefit with a hand rail for support. As a couple in our 70s we needed to take extra care when walking around. The kitchen is a bit overwhelming - and seemed untidy - with shelves full of cooking containers, equipment etc. The above negatives are purely our own opinion - the owners have clearly spent a great deal of time in presenting a lovely holiday facility.

  • "Absolutely fantastic base for us!"

Amazing secure garden even for our escape artist dog! The most beautiful views. We picked this location to be close to friends and it didn’t disappoint. Great entertaining space outdoor, especially the BBQ & firepits. Kids loved the play area outside especially the tractor. Brilliant, quirky house.

  • "Lovely cottage in a cracking location."

It’s huge enclosed garden is perfect for those on holidays with kids or dogs. The accommodation had everything we needed. The only downside (which we knew) was it is close to a busy main road. That didn’t detract at all and you can hardly hear anything at night inside. The fact the property isn’t overlooked and the garden was massive was perfect.

Great location, stunning views. Our son loved it. Will be back at some point.

  • "Great cottage but would benefit from having more comfortable seating and better ..."

Great cottage but would benefit from having more comfortable seating and better lighting on driveway and on sign on front of drive easy to miss in the dark

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you felt the seating was uncomfortable. The sofa in the lounge is also a comfortable sofa bed, but unfortunately doesn't have the same comfort when being used as a sofa. The lighting along the driveaway is something we are currently looking into, and the cottage is located in a semi rural area within the welsh countryside, unfortunately minimal external lighting is to be expected. However, we hope you had a great stay and will return in the future. Property Owner

Beautiful cottage with a gorgeous garden. My children loved the playground and the safe grounds. The surrounding area is fab, beaches, restaurants, pubs and a good base to get to lots of places a little further away. The fire was cosy and I loved the bathroom. Thank you

  • "The security of the property and the amount of land that comes with it is incredible."

Allowing safe play areas for children within the gated private grounds. The welcome pack and treats for the children was a delightful gesture and well received. The property would benefit from some activities for older children to play with such as board games or even a games console in the children's room for the rainy days.
