  • "The best place to live in."

Very private & comfortable!! The standard of everything is excellent. We had excellent nights sleeps in super comfy beds. It is extremely comfortable with stunning views. The cottage has been carefully designed and lots of extras were included, in fact everything that you may need during your stay. Will highly recommend to friends and hope to be back. Thank you! Syed & family..

  • "Beautiful, modern, warm and cosy two bedroomed cottage, spotlessly clean and in a great location in the heart of Criccieth."

Also has a lovely backyard area with seating and decking. Our only gripe is that the cottage is tucked away and a sign displayed in Castle Square, as to where the Little Bakehouse is actually situated would have been ideal. Having said that we would still recommend.

Our only complaint is that the beds were not very comfortable which caused us to not sleep very well. Apart from this everything was perfect.

The stairs require a refurb and whilst the garden may have right of way access its not ideal.Whilst the cottage has effectively two double rooms 4 people around the very small table represents a challenge. The bedrooms are very small and space is at a premium. Its location and its parking need to further defined as well. However there were no notifiable issues or problems.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay here."

We arrived a bit early, so we could find the location in the daylight as we thought it might be a bit tricky to locate (it was) and it was just about to be cleaned so we went off to explore. The property is very nice, clean, modern and with tasteful good quality furnishings. Downstairs is more spacious than expected. It has everything you can possibly need. The little courtyard is really cute but as it was January we didn’t get to enjoy it. Had the best sleep we have had in ages, comfy beds (a bit soft to our preference but still ok) and it was soooo quiet. Being January it was very cold but heating in the property was great, and we were very cosy. We parked in front of the bungalow as instructed, it’s a bit of a tight squeeze getting past the houses in Henbont Rd if you’ve got a large car. Criccieth is lovely, we went to the little cafe Tir a Mor by the level crossing which was very nice (it was closed after that at the start of the week which was disappointing as we would have gone back). Also wanted a Chinese takeaway on our final night but it was closed due to Chinese New Year so we got a kebab & burger from the shop on the High St instead which was awful. We also ate at Dylan’s which was OK. Would thoroughly recommend this property!

The owner came straight back to us when we asked a question. The garden area was lovely on an evening for a glass of wine and a game of dominoes. I would advise anyone going to Google restaurants and book in advance. We would highly recommend this cottage and will be back ourselves.

  • "We had a wonderful week at the Little Bakehouse."

The cottage was in a very quiet location (parking is available outside the adjacent bungalows) but easy access to all the facilities in the town. The cottage was super clean and stylishly furnished, making our stay even more enjoyable. Criccieth is centrally located for exploring both the coast and Snowdonia - we will be back!

The kitchen was well equipped, bed comfortable and the cottage was cosy and warm. Not overly keen on the automatic lighting in the bathroom, especially at 3 in the morning ! But we will definitely return and would recommend its location for access to all Snowdonia has to offer.

Located close to the castle and the beach yet tucked away for peace and quiet. A very pretty cottage. Although to mention a problem with the heating may sound a negative, the speed at which the owner addressed it was commendable, couldn't have asked for more, resolved within hours. In which case I could recommend the property on all points. An added bonus were the few residents we met who lived close to the cottage; all friendly and helpful. A nice experience.

Perfect for us and our dogs. Not suitable for people with poor mobility as the stairs are very steep and the bath is deep to climb in and out of. Didn't affect us though.

  • "I emailed some enquires about parking, arrival and availability of a dishwasher and coffee machine or coffee pot soon after booking, weeks before arrival."

I also resent this email. None Of these questions were answered apart from being very bluntly told we could not arrive between 3-4pm even though the only options were for 3-4 or 4-5. The cost of the accommodation was very very expensive, presumably to take full advantage of People holidaying in the UK During a worldwide pandemic, we also did not expect to have to strip all of the beds and laundry and take out all of the rubbish whilst paying £320 per night including the cost of 6 hours cleaning.

  • "The booking was organised in an extremely efficient way, pre-holiday queries were addressed politely and helpfully and our self inflicted crisis on a dark and cold Sunday evening was managed so kindly and calmly."

I can’t quite believe that there was such an impressive helpline available to us out of office hours. Every single aspect of Menai holidays assistance has been exemplary throughout our holiday for which we are so very grateful. The apartment was very well decorated and organised with so many helpful additions that made the holiday enjoyable. It was cosy, clean and tidy with very friendly neighbours around who were happy to chat to us as visitors. The way the outside space was designed was ideal for us to feel secure and private, and we felt very spoiled with auto lighting... we have serious courtyard envy now and since being home, am slightly confused when lights don’t come on immediately as we enter!! The town was delightful; we found open and friendly people and great service in cafes shops and restaurants in the most beautiful setting with both coastal and beach walks for dogs.

  • "The cottage is well situated and modern."

It's ideally located - within easy reach of most of North Wales's attractions (by car). It is advertised as for 5 people - which technically it can accommodate - but would be a squeeze for 5 adults. The second bedroom is more appropriate for 3 children. We had a mild concern about cleanliness. The bed in the second bedroom had a couple of long hairs in there... We didn't use the washing machine as there was some sort of black sludge in the conditioner compartment (we subsequently washed by hand and only used the washing machine as a dryer). Beyond that, it is a delightful cottage, well maintained (apart from the washing machine). A large lounge and a good sized kitchen. Plenty of parking nearby.

..we've even returned for a second time!! The lighting is so nice within the cottage. The decor is warm and uplifting. Beds very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Neighbours very friendly. 10min stroll to the beach.. What more could you ask for!

  • "The cottage was beautifully clean and very comfortable."

Had everything we needed. Two very minor niggles - the house information book was not clearly identified (we mistook it for an empty photo album). This meant we had to phone the office as we didn’t know how to get hot water in the kitchen. Also the knives are all very blunt! Apart from this we loved the cottage and would definitely book it again.

  • "A lovely renovation of an old cottage with a new modern interior."

A fantastic location, being next to the castle and between the two bays at Criccieth. The living space works well, with a big lounge and a well-appointed kitchen.

  • "The cottage was great smaller than expected but it didn't feel small because of the vaulted ceilings."

Lovely decor, Nice lighting throughout. A few essentials I would have liked in the kitchen like a cafetiere and a dishwasher! The only thing the cottage lacked was a nice aspect as it's sandwiched between buildings and situated down a little back street lane. There is a nice enclosed courtyard but the garden on the other side is not dog proof. That said the beach is 1 minute away so no a problem really.
