This is the second time we have stayed in the cottage.

It is a beautiful historic cottage - 17th century. We have stayed here for a second time because of its proximity to the beach. We had our 10 year old grandson with us so a short journey to the beach is essential - as we have to take so much paraphernalia there and back. Not so many days out this time but there are so many places of interest to visit on the Lleyn peninsula and within the Snowdonia National Park, all within easy reach. The cottage is near 2 lovely bakeries in the high street, an ice-cream parlour and a fish and chips shop. Very quiet at night.

We wouldn’t want to stay again as the property is opposite a care home .

Most days you could hear screaming from the home which isn’t very nice . Also the garden and garden furniture is a disgrace

Second time staying in this lovely cottage.

Great location, really clean and well maintained. Garden is a bit weedy but not an issue.

We rebooked this cottage again this year but we're dismayed to still find no information about local facilities eg doctors surgery , vets churches or anything else even though we left a comment last year .

We've never stayed in a place where this information has not been available. Also it was advertised as having WiFi but didn't.

This is a lovely clean well equipped cottage set in a quiet location with easy access to many places and we would definitely use it again.

The outside covered space was fantastic with lovely garden furniture and the enclosed garden was ideal for the dog. It is the nicest cottage I have ever stayed in so 10/10 to the owner.

First the positives; in superb location, very comfortable sofa!

Albeit a smell of dog (&the; bin smells of cigarettes). Had my husband seen the well used tin of flea spray in the cupboard on the first day we would not have been staying there! Just be mindful that it’s a very small washing machine & fridge. The small freezer box was so thick with ice it wouldn’t shut. Unfortunately the garden was a disgrace, at least a years worth of weeds. The garden furniture had seen better days, it was rusty, peeling paint & uncomfortable. Metal is hard to sit on without a cushion at the best of times. Shame as it was during the heatwave & it would’ve been nice to sit/eat outside. On our penultimate day I had the misfortune to fall through 1 of the chairs (the seat part gave way completely ). He offered to send a gardener around but we book a cottage for privacy & I didn’t want to share my last evening with workmen. Certainly not worth £1000+ per week.

Was lovely to meet the owner and hear about the history of the cottage. We will return.

Excellent location with everything in walking distance within Criccieth, plus a short drive to lots of beautiful beaches and fun days out.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was good to have usable outdoor space too and part of the back was under cover, so ideal with our typical summers, also ideal space to dry our beach things. Good central location in Criccieth. Overall, a great time had by all.

The cottage location was great, very near the beach and the castle with easy access to shops and places to eat.

Lots to do in the area. The cottage is lovely and had everything we needed.

Beautiful cottage very comfortable and clean.

Central to all amenities and off road parking was not a problem. I would say the only downfall was the garden could do with some weeding and cutting back, and the garden furniture on the bottom patio could do with been replaced. This is not a criticism by any means but a observations, we enjoyed our week and are returning.

Nice and roomy, a beautiful blend of old and new, and a great location. Very well-equipped with a lovely garden. Owner very responsive.

A beautiful cottage to stay in.

Plenty of space and a pleasant garden. A little short of food storage cupboards any family would need to bear in mind, but suited me absolutely fine. Criccieth is a very pretty and friendly place.

Garden could do with a bit of attention. There was a pint of milk left on arrival but would have been good to have some tea, coffee and sugar to go with it. Otherwise would recommend

Another lovely holiday at this property, great location right in the middle of Criccieth easy to see all the sights even without a car.

The cottage is homely and cosy. This is our third visit and will definitely be staying again.

The location is excellent with everything you need within a few minutes walk.

Parking was never a problem. Overall we found the cottage to be very clean and comfortable. The upstairs is particularly well designed with real-world use in mind - enough space to open cases and plenty of hanging space for clothes. Mirrors in suitable places and lots of plug sockets. The beds were fairly comfortable and there are blackout curtains. The shower is very good and there is a shaver socket. Downstairs the kitchen is fairly well equipped and most of the furniture comfortable and usable, but the gate-leg dining table is totally unsuitable and we found we couldn't use it at all without sustaining bruises or sitting side saddle. We ended up eating off trays on the sofa. Outside there are 2 garden tables and the larger has a similar problem - it's impossible for adults to sit at comfortably because there is a bar across at knee height. It's a pity these easily resolved issues let down what is otherwise a fantastic cottage.

The cottege was just as described, the beds were comfy, the location is amazing, near the beach and the village with a cafe on the doorstep.

It’s a bit dark inside but the courtyard is west facing with plenty of sun. Everything worked and was well explained. We will be back!

Another great stay, looking forward to returning in September with friends I have recommended staying in the cottage next door.

Great location central for all amenities. The cottage is very cosy, clean and has all the facilities we required. My only concern is if you have small children or dog the high drop by the steps in the garden is dangerous and could do with some form of barrier to prevent falling but still loved our stay and used windbreaks to prevent our little dog from falling.

Had a lovely relaxing week at Glanrafon with my sisters.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, and in an ideal place with beach, shops and pubs all close by. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the weather as it rained 5 days out of the 7, though I don’t blame the owner after all it was mid-March. Hope to re-book in the future in warmer months.

Very convenient spot right in the middle of Criccieth.

The cottage was cosy, comfortable and clean my only criticism was there was no full length mirror anywhere and a brush and shovel would have been handy to sweep the kitchen floor. Had a lovely holiday and have rebooked for April and September 2024

Great cottage in perfect location.

Very comfortable and cosy. Useful back garden. Although there was no off road parking it was not an issue, as there are plenty of spaces nearby. Local shops and places to eat all within a few minutes walk. No real issues but if I was being super critical I would say the cutlery could do with upgrading. Could do with a toast rack!. Oven trays were limited, a few smaller ones would be useful. No pizza tray which is always easier to use. But that is all, otherwise this is a lovely cottage which I highly recommend.

Beach, shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance.

Cottage was lovely only downside was there was no Christmas tree which was disappointing, especially when I had rung up to check specifically that there would be a tree and decorations and was assured there would be.

The cottage was very clean and had a welcoming feel. It had a lovely garden with undercover seating so perfect for that first cup of tea in a morning. Would definitely recommend this cottage

This is a lovely cottage and in a great location for exploring the local area.

Proximity to shops, coffee takeaways and dog friendly pubs is also good. My only suggestion to improve would be provision of a smart tv.

We loved staying at Glenrafon.

We arrived to find the property extremely clean and equipped with absolutely everything we could need. The position of it was fantastic right in the heart of the town. We would definitely recommend it. Our only issues were that we found the beds really uncomfortable as they had no support. Also as a retired police officer my husband was concerned about the front door being secured by a very basic Yale lock that would be easy to break into.

Absolutely charming cottage, full of character. We found it to be better than it looked in the photos. The garden is lovely and has a fabulous covered patio area. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. The property is minutes walk from Criccieth beach and all the amenities. It's a very old cottage, we would have been interested to know more about its history. Fortunately we are all quite short, but it's worth noting tall people staying here would have to watch their heads!

A marvellous cottage, wonderfully situated, and Mr Davis has thought of everything that someone staying there could want or need.

The garden was a real suntrap and lovely to see the pots planted with summer flowering geraniums, some holiday let's don't bother .We love Criccieth and this cottage was perfect, two minutes walk to the shops, beach and restaurants , we will be back !

Glanrafon is a really cosy, welcoming cottage with all the main facilities you need for a holiday.

Warm and very clean. Small dishwasher was an added bonus ! Lovely modern kitchen and bathroom, but otherwise still has the absolute charm of a cottage of this age. Did not want to leave ! Will definitely stay again. Have stayed in the adjoining cottage and are happy to now have 2 choices ! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Found cottage to be well equipped and spotlessly clean.

The cottage was well positioned in Criccieth. Enjoyed our weekend stay and have booked for a full week in September.

A wonderful cottage in a great location.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Although about 600 years old it has been tastefully modernised retaining most of its original features including a low entrance, thick walls, beams (mind your head) and steepish stairs. It will be our first choice of accommodation when we return to the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.

Garden needed a little tlc

This is a lovely cottage in an excellent location within walking distance to all amenities, and have to say it has one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in.

The cottage was wonderful - it was everything we could ever ask for and was equipped with every conceivable thing we needed.

We hope to rent it again.

This was our first time staying at this quaint and beautiful cottage in a fantastically central location of Criccieth.

5 minute walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and pub. We stayed for the week and made plenty of use of the washing machine, every family knows what a god send this is when you have very small children. The rooms, kitchen and bathroom were adequately equipped, clean and tidy. Some lovely historical pictures of the cottage and full wifi available. Would plan another visit in the future. Around Criccieth there are plenty of beaches, children’s farms, adventure parks and things for to do for family’s all within 30 minutes drive.

Enjoyed our stay in Glanrafron, stayed before prior to refurbishments much improved.

We used the fire in an evening but in another week would have required central heating we could not see any instructions for putting heating on. The cottage is lovely central village lots of walks. Would visit again.

Great location, so near to everything.

Sweet cottage. Comfy however I would have expected a little bit more for the star rating and price. The TV was very old fashioned and signal was very poor, and no DVD/cable. No coffee machine, only one cereal bowl, no wardrobe or chests of draws. Just little things but this attention to detail could elevate the cottage.

This is a delightful cottage well renovated keeping the original features.

We will definitely be back so cosy - in an excellent location within reach of lots of places of interest - just great.

Fabulous comfy, warm, well-equipped cottage.

We had planned to stay for 4 nights but soon after arriving we extended our stay to a week as we were so impressed and even then we didn't want to leave! Glenrafon is ideally situated to the centre of Criccieth and its castle and for exploring North Wales.
