Nefydd

Nefydd is a lovely bungalow in a brilliant location within walking distance to all the amenities of Criccieth and the beach.

We loved the views especially and were lucky enough with the weather to be able to sit out on the terrace and admire them. I would have given five stars but have taken one off for the fact that there were cobwebs everywhere when we arrived. The owner did apologise and offered to come round the next day but I hoovered them all up myself as my son couldn't have slept in his room as it was. A couple of suggestions to make this property even better; the double bed is very small and I think a king size bed would be far better as we did struggle a little with the lack of space. Also it would be nice to have some blinds in the kitchen just for added privacy of an evening. We would definitely recommend Nefydd as it has a lot going for it and we would love to return.

A lovely cottage in a perfect location for beaches and mountains.

Convenient for town and beach.

Comfortable and well furnished and the owners were helpful and friendly. A lovely property with ample off street parking and well set in it's spacious grounds with views of the castle and the bay.

We had a fantastic 5 days at the property.

The property itself was clean and comfortable and in a beautiful location. Just a minor point, it would be great to have a couple of larger pans for cooking in properly please . Would definitely come back here.

Lovely house.

We loved the position of the bungalow.

Convenient to the pub, restaurants and shops with a nice little walk down to the seafront. Being high up; we could see the waves breaking from storm Agnes. The bungalow was very clean and well equipped with loads of parking and garden. The owners were very friendly and available to resolve any questions.

Well-equipped holiday house that felt very homely.

Very comfortable beds, beautiful garden and patio area, and easy access to the beach. Perfect for a multi-generation trip. As others have said, the stream was a big hit with our son. The owners were very helpful and easy to communicate with. Would recommend and return in future.

Beautiful clean property.

Everything was there that was needed for a good stay. Unfortunately our only complaint was in our opinion,very uncomfortable lounge furniture. Great location.

Nefydd is a spacious property in a lovely quiet location with nice views of the sea and Criccieth castle.

We found the parking easy as it is such a large plot, and liked the fact it is only a short walk to the village shops. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms very comfortable.The terrace was nice (just one niggle as there was no parasol for shelter and we had the most beautiful hot sunny week of weather!) It was also nice to have contact from Sioned the owner. If we return to Criccieth we would definitely consider staying here again.

Lovely cottage, comfortable and great views and location.

Beds comfy and lounge large yet cosy. The kids loved the garden and being close to the sea. Criccieth is a great base to explore the area but also worth spending time on the coast, at the beach and visiting the castle. The only minor thing would be some larger saucepans please. We were cooking for six and the pans were too small. Otherwise the kitchen was really well equipped.

The bungalow was absolutely beautiful, even better than on the listing photos.

Fantastic views of the sea and the castle. So comfortable and clean. Really loved our stay here and would love to return. Great base for exploring this beautiful area of Wales. Thank you so much to the owners!

This was our second visit to Nefydd.

The property is comfortable, well maintained and with extensive, “manicured” grounds and the stream providing an attractive feature. Ample room for parking two or more cars adds to the convenience of the property. A short walk to the beach and town allows the opportunity to explore locally. With Porthmadog only 10 minutes away, the area is well supported with supermarkets and a variety of small local businesses.

Lovely bungalow has got everything you need very comfortable and homely spacious inside and out the welcome pack is great extremely clean and the owner sioned is so lovely would definitely like to come back again

A wonderful house, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and really spacious.

We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio listening to the water gurgling in the stream below. The garden is lovely too. Plenty of parking for our 3 cars on the drive. A short walk to the beach or town. It was hot and sunny for us but this would be a great place to stay in winter too.

We had a great time the property was great the owner was lovely the bungalow was so clean and tidy and spacious it had everything you needed so peaceful and quiet will definitely be going back

All the family loved our stay in this beautiful cottage.

Our teenager was happy with the space and smart tv's (though only the main one has hdmi for his xbox.) Our 3 year old loved the garden and we all loved the location.

We didn't know what to expect as we booked this property last minute due to another property cancelling because of storm damages and we ended up being so pleased they did as this property and location absolutely exceeded our expectations. We also really appreciated the welcome hamper we received and any contact with the host was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone heading to this area.

Spotlessly clean and all mod cons. Excellent. The only thing that lets the cottage down is the leather corner suite. So uncomfortable. Other than that would have given 5 stars.

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely village in North Wales

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying in Nefydd.

This is such a beautiful house in a really brilliant location. The house itself is done to a really high spec and had everything we needed for 6 people for the week. It has a really lovely garden and the children particularly loved the stream which runs through it. The position of the house is great, it is just a 5 minute walk from the beach and town of Criccith. I Would definitely recommend this wonderful house!

The property is spotless, spacious and the fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. Nefydd is ideally located to explore the pretty town of Criccieth as well as the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend Nefydd to our family and friends.

The cottage was lovely but there were a few things we would like to mention.

A blind is needed in the bathroom as you can be seen from outside. The sofas were very uncomfortable and the tv needs to be lowered as you strain your neck watching it. There were no instructions on how to use the cooker and insufficient crockery for 6 people.

The property was fantastic nothing was needed- all items which you need in your everyday life was provided- only downside was the weather it was horrible for most of the break.

Would definitely recommend.. Extra info the Chip Shop near to the Post Office is open Mon-WED, Thur, Fri and Sat 12-2pm and 17:00-20:00. Happy Days Bob

Such wonderful accommodation and a fabulous location.

We didn’t realise we were so close to the sea and local amenities . The accommodation is spotless and furnished to a high standard throughout with a very well equipped kitchen. The owners were so helpful before and during our stay and the location was fabulous to explore on foot or by car. We will definitely be returning !

I chose this accommodation primarily based on the decor, and the ground floor living for accessibility issues.

Everything else was a bonus. Nefydd's proximity to the beach and local amenities meant we didn't need to drive at all on a number of days, as we could simply enjoy exploring Criccieth and the coastal path. The local shops have excellent produce and are well stocked. The patio terrace, garden and stream was peaceful and relaxing - we were lucky to get some sunshine too! The owner was incredibly helpful and understanding of some of our additional concerns around my Mum shielding (in light of the current climate). The cleanliness was exceptional though, so thank you for all your hard work.

Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Criccieth is a good area with everything you might need and there are lots of other beaches and towns of interest not too far away. We would definitely go back

The bungalow was of a very high standard .

It had been cleaned throughly and this put us at ease immediately . It is very spacious , and suited our needs perfectly .The beach is so close by, and there are lovely little shops to browse in all this with a castle overlooking you ! We really enjoyed our 3 nights here and hope to return for longer next time.

The property is very well furnished, comfortable and very clean.

It’s in an excellent position and has plenty of garden for children to play in. We will be returning for a longer stay in the near future. I highly recommend this property.

The property was a charming bungalow on one floor set in large grounds with a stream running through, just under the balcony.

The property was clean and comfortable, well appointed with excellent facilities and I couldn't recommend it more. Well situated within easy reach of the beach, local shops and amenities, our stay was delightful. Off-road parking was more than adequate, with room for at least three cars if not four. Contact with the owners was simple, and having met them both they're lovely hosts who simply couldn't do more to help. I'd certainly recommend this property for a week's stay.
